Bailiff vs Barricaded Gunman Homeowner Standoff In Northwest Detroit

The homeowner was less than receptive. He pointed a rifle at the bailiff and refused to come down from the porch. We’re told the bailiff then called police. When the homeowner saw SWAT trucks approaching, he locked himself in the home.


DETROIT - Two people were taken into custody without incident following a barricaded gunman situation in northwest Detroit.
Police tell Fox 2 that a bailiff was sent to a man's home to execute an eviction, near the intersection of Grand River and Northrop.
The homeowner was less than receptive. He pointed a rifle at the bailiff and refused to come down from the porch.
We're told the bailiff then called police. When the homeowner saw SWAT trucks approaching, he locked himself in the home.
SWAT teams surrounded the home. The homeowner surrendered without incident after talking with police by telephone.
