Privatization of UK justice system - A simple question

The British government has been seeking to outsource key functions of the modern state since the 1990s. The result has been a decline in public sector funding, while the private sector enjoys increased investment. One of the most crucial sectors that are under threat is the legal and criminal justice system. The UK already has the most privatized Criminal Justice System in Europe.
The police privatization plans include a 7 year £1.5bn contract which allows private companies to investigate crime, and detain suspects. Prisons are also being privatized with all contracts going to the 2 major global private security companies; SERCO and G4S. Britain already has the largest private prison sector in Europe with a value of £2.5 billion over 7 years. What do you know about the privatization of the UK justice system? What kinds of changes have been taking place? Source
