Jaws: The Great Greek Tax Grab

The Greek finance ministry plans to raid the personal bank accounts of suspected tax dodgers, snatch the claimed owed amounts and then organize trials later.

All banks and financial service firms including the stock market must submit full details of all movements on an individual’s account. The Big Brother team at the finance ministry will use the information to create a full profile for every person and compare it with their tax submissions.

Thus banking secrecy, for what it is worth, is shot to pieces.

There can be no argument that bringing dodgers to heel, especially in a leaky environment like Greece, is necessary. The problem is, of course, that the grab first tactic effectively secures the guilt of the individual concerned. The subsequent court proceedings are just a rubber stamp.

This is a truly “guilty until proven innocent” approach to the matter.

Note the ministry does not have to go to court in the first instance to gain permission to raid accounts. Almost certainly this is illegal, but then again in Greece after the globalist take-over, almost everything is.

Credit card companies, cell phone networks, private hospitals, and utility companies will all be sucked into the jaws of the great bank robbery.

Make no mistake this is beyond the thin edge of the wedge. The wedge is really the entire EU and Greece is merely a neat, small laboratory to test the latest episode in the wholesale abuse of civil liberties.

Michael Shedlock at Mish’s Global Economics Analysis wisely advises that anyone planning to leave Greece should find an urgent incentive to leave right now thanks to these developments.

In India, holocaust now to curb population growth

This is story that should be screaming from the front page of every respectable newspaper, gaining viral traction on the Web.

Instead, we are hearing virtual silence. Just one low circulation British newspaper has dug out the facts behind a British-funded eugenics program that would be fit for Nazi butchers at the height of their insane population control experiments.

From the UK newspaper The Observer:

“Tens of millions of pounds of UK aid money have been spent on a programme that has forcibly sterilised Indian women and men. Many have died as a result of botched operations, while others have been left bleeding and in agony. A number of pregnant women selected for sterilization suffered miscarriages and lost their babies.

The UK agreed to give India £166m to fund the programme, despite allegations that the money would be used to sterilise the poor in an attempt to curb the country’s burgeoning population of 1.2 billion people.

With officials and doctors paid a bonus for every operation, poor and little-educated men and women in rural areas are routinely rounded up and sterilized without having a chance to object. Activists say some are told they are going to health camps for operations that will improve their general well being and only discover the truth after going under the knife.

Across the country, there have been numerous reports of deaths and of pregnant women suffering miscarriages after being selected for sterilization without being warned that they would lose their unborn babies.

Earlier this month, India’s supreme court heard how a surgeon operating in a school building in the Araria district of Bihar in January carried out 53 operations in two hours, assisted by unqualified staff, with no access to running water or equipment to clean the operating equipment. A video shot by activists shows filthy conditions and women lying on the straw-covered ground”

Called to account, the Cameron Coalition government threw the can over its shoulder (author’s words).

“The coalition government has completely changed the way that aid is spent in India to focus on three of the poorest states, and our support for this programme is about to end as part of that change. Giving women access to family planning, no matter where they live or how poor they are, is a fundamental tenet of the coalition’s international development policy.”

Author again: ‘Family planning’ was extensively practiced not only by Hitler but his equally evil alter ego Joseph Stalin. Similar eugenics movements arose in the United States and Britain as well, although those are far less frequently cited or well known.

The great terrorist Joseph Stalin deliberately starved or murdered between 15 and 20 million land-tilling peasants (the Kulaks) in Russia’s Ukrainian bread basket between 1929 and 1933.

This was to eliminate opposition to his disastrous forced collectivization program, which proved to be an utter failure, as we now know.

Of course we also remember Pol Pot and his Cambodian killing fields. Or do we?

It seems that as time goes on, people increasingly lose the ability to look to the past to find the answers to our questions about the future.
