End of free speech in Europe + Eutelsat SA banning Iranian TV channels again - Double Standards

A week after the Eutelsat SA's ban on Iranian TV channels, the United States' Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) tried to shot down Press TV as well as other Iranian TV channels.

To discuss the on the EU Banning Press TV and what is considered as the end of the free speech in Europe, Afshin Rattansi talks to Patrick Henningsen from 21st Century Wire.

As the European Commission has decided to curb free speech and ban alternative TV programs, Afshin Rattansi introduces the safest ways to whistleblow. Following Eutelsat SA's banning of Iranian TV channel based on the EU Council sanctions, Rattansi decides to fight the move and goes to space to fix the satellite. Meanwhile the alleged whistleblower Bradley Manning continues to fight for justice, Rattansi speaks to Professor Gavin MacFadyen, the Director of City University's Centre for Investigative Journalism on the West's attempts at restricting whistleblowing.
