'Sex scandals push church into crisis'

Press TV: There is a crisis in the Catholic Church that is related to the ongoing sexual abuse scandals and the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI
may have been intended to cause the dismissal of many of these high level people.

The comments came after Roman Catholic cardinals gathered in the Vatican to elect a successor to Pope Benedict XVI, who resigned earlier due to old age. The 115 cardinal electors attended a special mass on Tuesday morning in St. Peter's Basilica to pray for guidance in their vote for a new pope, who will succeed Pope Benedict XVI.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Kevin Barrett, from the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance, to further discuss the issue. Source
