Feminism In Ancient Rome + Women Controlling Men - MGTOW

When I first started getting involved in MGTOW culture I read an article called "Feminism Responsible For The Fall Of Rome." I'm including a link to it in the description below. The Roman empire had serious problems starting around the first and second centuries AD because the Empire was no longer expanding and bringing in new gold into the economy and because there were serious social problems. Men were increasingly not interested in marriage and were going their own way. There were more unmarried men then married men in the Empire. And as a result the state started trying out bachelor taxes to reward men that married and had at least three children while punishing unmarried men and shaming them.
Declining populations meant there were less men available to defend the Empire from barbarian hordes as well as less tax revenue for the state. As a result married men in ancient Rome had very little social status. According to an article called: "Why were men reluctant to marry in ancient Rome?" which is the second link in the description below and I quote: "Unmarried men were forbidden to attend public games and banquets. Unmarried men were also forced to sit in less desirable seats in the theater. Social strategies of shaming and dishonoring have powerfully
affected men’s lives throughout history. They were excluded from the sight of the young men and maidens at their exercises, and in winter the magistrates ordered them to march round the market-place in their tunics only, and as they marched, they sang a certain song about themselves. Augustus Caesar described unmarried men as worse than murders and robbers. Unmarried men, according to Augustus, were immoral beasts. And his shaming of men suggests that Roman men were reluctant to marry because marriage deprived them of freedom, including sexual freedom to sleep with whomever they wanted." So there you have it folks, those are just a handful of reasons why men in Ancient Rome chose not to marry. Even with all the bachelor taxes men chose not to reproduce and had a hand at bringing down the empire. But the question remains why did Roman men choose to remain single instead of marrying? I believe a lot of comes from sexual liberation
and the end of traditional gender roles in Roman society. Rome was formed on the foundation of monogamous marriage. The free marriage was created which was a union between a man and a woman that could easily be broken through no-fault divorce and it wasn't registered with the state and it was similar to common-law marriage. Cohabitation became the norm and many men chose to have concubines instead of wives. Concubines were common but in Rome men chose to have concubines but not wives. And as the empire began to crumble it was men with traditional backgrounds and parts of the empire that still had traditional gender roles that ruled the empire. Sandman

Women Controlling Men
Women have an obsession with telling us men how to think, feel, behave, dress and spend our resources. Not only do many women expect men to shower them with resources for simply existing but they also expect men in general to change every single aspect of our behavior to accommodate them. It's not simply about our outward appearance and how we present ourselves to the world. Instead every woman I've ever met has expected me to change the way I perceive universe and my place in the world and to conform to her view of reality. Women expect me to see all women as beings that can do no wrong and try to condition me to see other men as animals. If this were really the case and self evident then women wouldn't need to spend all their time trying to turn men
against each other. Women condition men to turn against each other while white knighting them. In the past when I was in relationships I wasn't allowed to behave in any ways that were outwardly bizarre or eccentric because it might lower her status, the woman that I was with, in the eyes of her family and friends. So that's why I find women will act like kindergarten teachers trying to keep man from doing anything embarrassing. And it's not enough for women to simply get us to behave. They have to make sure that our core value system changes to favor them and that we align ourselves to what society excepts as socially acceptable. Yet at the same time women don't appear to have to live up to these same expectations they place on men. Women promote the idea that men should be good and virtuous and follow the rules while they themselves break the rules all the time. When I was in art school I was taught that you can't break the rules until you learn them. And that's exactly what women do. They learn all the rules about how men and women should communicate with each other so they can break those rules. But at the same time they understand that breaking the rules will give them zero advantages unless other people believe and follow the rules. So that's why they spend so much of their time getting men to behave. Because a well behaved man that's loyal and hangs off of a woman's every word is not usually up to anything treacherous. If women had a motto and had to put it on a T-Shirt I believe it would say: "We are women so Leave the treachery to us." That's another reason women don't like men going their own way. Because we expose
women's treacherous nature and debunk the lie they have been beating into men's heads for all of history. Women are excellent at filtering for the status quo, finding the group consensus and then pushing it onto others.
