Klay Network: Cassie Jaye is a filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Founder/CEO of Jaye Bird Productions. She has directed and produced over a dozen films and commercials, but is most known for her feature documentaries "Daddy I Do", about Purity Balls and Abstinence Pledges, "The Right to Love: An American Family", about the fight for same-sex marriage rights, and her latest film "The Red Pill" which examines the Men's Rights Movement.
Her films combined have screened at over 40 film festivals, winning 15 awards including Best Documentary at the Cannes Independent Film Festival in France for "Daddy I Do", four Telly Awards for "The Right to Love", and the Audience Favourite Award for her short film "The Story of GoldieBlox" in GE's Focus Forward Filmmaker Competition. Her films have been reviewed by the NY Times, LA Times, LA Weekly, Variety, Huffington Post, New York Post, and the Hollywood Reporter among others. She is featured in the book 'Telling Their Own Stories' by Don Schwartz, is on the filmmaker advisory board for the Tallgrass Film Festival, is the Documentary Grand Juror for the Idyllwild Int'l Festival of Cinema, is a former juror for the International Documentary Association Awards, and is a current juror for the Reno Tahoe Int'l Film Festival.
