Dr. Don Dutton On Domestic Abuse Models & Improving Social Policy

Canadian Association for Equality: Dr. Don Dutton sat down with CAFE Edmonton members Monique and Khalil. Monique and Khalil watched Dr. Don Dutton's address on domestic abuse to the Canadian Senate and wanted to follow up. Watch CAFE's other video on Dr. Don Dutton's presentation on an evidence based approach to domestic abuse policy: [Below] Monique and Khalil asked Dr. Dutton how to improve social policy around domestic abuse, which would be more inclusive of men, boys, gays and lesbians. CAFE Edmonton has a new initiative called The *Virtual* Canadian Centre for Men and Families.
CAFE Edmonton does not have a physical space, but will take emails from across Canada. Our centre is inclusive. If you are a Canadian (from any province or territory) please email us at edmonton@menandfamilies.org. Although we focus on issues that disproportionately affect men and boys, our centre is inclusive. We will help women, gays, and lesbians with these issues as well. For example, if you are a Canadian woman suffering from parental alienation, you are included in our services. If you are a lesbian suffering from lack of acknowledgement of domestic abuse, please contact us. Help us send battered men to a private therapist through remote skype sessions: Donate to CAFE Edmonton here and click the "I would like to designate this donation to a specific fund" checkbox. Select Edmonton from the dropdown to donate to our virtual centre. http://equalitycanada.com/donation/
