Having Cleared US Bases Out Of Ukraine, Russia Will Now Clear Them Out Of Central Asia

NATO in Central Asia ‘unacceptable' – Russia

RT: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday that any NATO military presence in Central Asia would undermine the security of the Russian-led CSTO alliance, in the region, and would not be tolerated by Moscow.

The minister made his comment at an Afghanistan-themed summit in Tunxi, China.

“We believe it’s unacceptable to have any US and NATO military infrastructure, or their Afghan helpers, on the territory of neighboring states, especially in Central Asia,” Lavrov said, adding that “such designs go against the security interests of our countries.”

He added that the existence of Western military sites would contradict the interests of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which has six members, all former Soviet states.

The Russian official also called for “extreme caution” regarding the settlement of Afghan refugees in states bordering their homeland. He argued countries should consider the “high risks” for their own security and the region as a whole.

Putin Signs Decree Ordering Gas Exports To Be Halted If Buyers Don't Pay In Rubles

Looks like Putin wasn't bluffing.

By Tyler Durden: Contrary to expectations that Vladimir Putin was bluffing about collecting rubles in exchange for Russian energy exports, moments ago a decree signed by the Russian president confirmed that that was not the case.

According to Bloomberg, Putin said he had signed a decree demanding payment in rubles for Russian gas supplies, which is set to begin April 1 as previously reported. According to the decree, while Russia will continue to supply gas at set volumes and prices, it will demand that buyers of gas open accounts in Russian banks, and warned that Moscow can halt gas contracts if buyers don't pay in rubles; additionally, new proceedings in EUR or USD could be blocked. Pushing what many viewed as a bluff to the edge, Putin said that active contracts will be halted if demands are not met, and explained that the move is meant to increase settlements in national currencies.

Putin's decree follows an earlier report in the Russian press that Gazprom was studying options of halting gas supplies to Europe amid RUB payment issues. It also follows comments from the Kremlin which suggested that it would look into the idea from lawmakers to ask other nations to pay for a wider range of Russia exports in rubles.

The Media Is The Number One Cause Of War Since 1898

Most of all, they force feed the war in Ukraine, 24/7, as if that’s supposed to be our #1 priority... Forget about the economy, rising prices, and supply chain dysfunction

Authored by Simon Black: In 1895, a 32-year old entrepreneur in New York City bought a failing newspaper and hatched a bold plan to turn it around.

The newspaper industry was cutthroat, especially in New York. There were at least 16 other daily newspapers in circulation, and there was fierce competition for readers’ attention.

But the young entrepreneur had an idea: thrill readers with tales of death, destruction, and brutality in the Cuban War for Independence against Spain.

Cuba was a Spanish colony at the time, but revolutionary forces had been fighting for independence for several years. Few people in the US really cared about Cuba. But the new publisher vowed to make them care.

The US Empire’s Ultimate Target Is Not Russia But China

'The only way the empire has any chance of stopping the rise of China is by maneuvers that will be both highly disruptive and existentially dangerous for the entire world. If you think things are crazy now, just you wait until the imperial crosshairs move to Beijing.'

By Caitlin Johnstone: The Pentagon has produced its latest National Defense Strategy (NDS), a report made every four years to provide the public and the government with a broad overview of the US war machine’s planning, posturing, developments and areas of focus.

You might assume with all the aggressive brinkmanship between Moscow and the US power alliance this year that Russia would feature as Enemy Number One in the 2022 NDS, but you would be assuming incorrectly. The US “Defense” Department reserves that slot for the same nation that’s occupied it for many years now: China.

Top Commander At US Air Base Led Child Sex Abuse Ring

A US Army paedophile, who’s currently serving 17 years, was open to blackmail, says a former FBI chief, as a civil case looms

RT: The US Army and the State of Arizona missed multiple red flags that allowed a senior commander at an air base in Afghanistan to lead a child sex abuse ring over the course of a decade, according to records reviewed by AP.

The news agency has interviewed one of the alleged victims, who is suing the state in a civil case that begins next week.

David Frodsham, who pleaded guilty to abuse charges in 2016 and is serving a 17-year-sentence, led a network that included an army sergeant who was later found guilty of posting child pornography online. One of the alleged victims of the ring was Frodsham’s adopted son.

While working in Afghanistan, Frodsham “jokingly” asked an IT technician to grant him access on his work computer to the free pornographic video-sharing website YouPorn, told one female colleague she had only been recruited because he wanted to be “surrounded by pretty women,” and regularly called others “honey,” “babe,” and “cougar.” He was ordered back to the US after the army verified multiple allegations of sexual harassment against him.
