‘Snatch squads’ caught on camera at London student rally

Video evidence of agent provocateurs at the London Student Protests in 2011. I did not make this video. A YouTube video shot during the November 9 student rally in London allegedly shows plainclothes police acting as agents provocateurs among the protesting crowds.The video uploaded by the user "noshockdoc" shows two people who first engage in rough handling of one of the rally protesters. Then, reportedly, the same people are shown along with six others detaining someone behind a police cordon.This is important - this is how they work. Pay attention. Source

Big Brother Cab: Oxford taxi CCTV to record all conversations

Oxford City Council orders all licensed cabs in the university town to be equipped with CCTV cameras to record both audio and video. UK rights activists and privacy campaigners are outraged with “Big Brother staggering invasion of privacy”' as Oxford City Council orders all licensed cabs in the university town to be equipped with CCTV cameras to record both audio and video.

Oxford City Council has decided to make it a condition for all taxis already operating in the city to install such devices by March 2015. 
All new cabs will need the necessary equipment from April 2012. 
The recordings will start once the key is turned in the ignition and will remain recording 30 minutes after the engine is turned off. Source

NYPD evicts Occupy Wall Street encampment

Police in New York have begun to clear the Occupy Wall Street movement encampment in Zuccotti Park, where protesters have been staying since September. At least 40 people have reportedly been arrested with the police said to have used pepper spray. The police operation commenced at approximately 1am Tuesday.
