The worst riot damage in years has struck Greek cities as MPs pass harsh new austerity measures. Amateur video shows violent protests in central Volos, where a branch of one of Greece's largest banks - Eurobank - was torched.
God’s Chosen Assholes: Israel’s Mossad Uses Passports Of Foreign Nationals Serving The Israeli Military For Covert Operations Abroad.
Mossad agents use foreign passports for covert ops:
A report has revealed that Israel's Mossad operatives use passports belonging to foreign nationals serving with the Israeli military to carry out covert operations abroad.
According to the report published in the Times of London on Saturday, the Mossad agents mainly use passports belonging to British and French nationals for their operations.
A British national who had voluntarily joined the Israeli military in 2009 said a “young woman from Mossad” asked him to lend his passport in the beginning of his service claiming that the move would demonstrate the Briton's "commitment" to Israel.
The report said the passport was given back to the British national after 18 months of military service and that he was “surprised to find stamps in it from Turkey and Azerbaijan, countries that he had never visited.”

The First Dominoes: Greece, Reality, And Cascading Default
Greece is the epicenter of a drama that threatens to unwind with all the intrigue and subterfuge of ancient Greek myths and tragedies. As with the legend of Icarus, big, and now bigger, transnational banks provoked the gods with their wax-and-feather financial fabrications to create the appearance of soaring wealth. Now that they have flown too close to the sun and their wings have melted, these banks are being brought to earth by the obligations and consequences imposed by their fabrications.
Rather than take responsibility, these banks seek to appease the gods by sacrificing taxpayers. In fact, if one looks closely, these banks aspire to be gods themselves. They clothe themselves in their indispensability and shield themselves from accountability with tales about how many innocent citizens will be hurt if they don’t get their next bailout. It is as if they say, “We are above the law… We are the law.” Mathematics, legal enforcement, restraint, humility all must fall under the sword of their hubris.
In the end, just as with a Greek tragedy or a Yeats poem, this center cannot hold and things fall apart. When one abuses the laws and principles of mathematics and capitalism, claiming to be a faithful servant, consequence and accountability eventually catch up. The breaking point inexorably nears. Citizens are beginning to think, voice, and act: “We can do without the false idols that call themselves banks. In fact, we need them to be dissolved for us to survive and thrive.”

Total Chaos; Riots Rage; Athens Resembles War Zone
Coverage of the chaos in Greece is now everywhere I look. Here is a sampling of stories:
As more than 40 buildings went up in flames, including two historic cinemas and several banks, Athens city centre was left resembling a war zone with cafes and shops smashed and looted as MPs backed the austerity measures by 199 votes to 74 in the single most important ballot in modern Greek history.
The chaos dominated one of the stormiest debates seen in the Greek parliament as MPs argued over a raft of strict measures demanded in return for international aid. Clashes were also reported in Thessaloniki, Patras, Corfu and Crete.
The violence erupted as tens of thousands of demonstrators – many clearly from the austerity-hit middle class in designer spectacles and trendy attire – converged on Syntagma square in front of the parliament to denounce the wage, pension and job cuts envisaged in the €130bn loan agreement. Banners proclaiming "Popular uprising!", "It's us or them!" and "Don't gamble away all we have achieved" were prevalent.
The Telegraph
The Greek parliament approved a deeply unpopular austerity bill to secure a second $130bn (£110bn) bailout and avoid a messy default after a day of street battles between police and protesters left Athens in flames.
Britain Helps Israel Water Apartheid
The Hague-based court ruled in 2004 that the Israeli regime has violated the international law by erecting the 360-kilometer concrete structure globally known as the Apartheid Wall that runs the full length of the West Bank.
The ICJ said the regime must dismantle the barrier that shuts Palestinians’ access to their lands in the West Bank as well as the western aquifer system that provides 51 percent of West Bank water adding all governments must avoid any measures that suggest they recognize Tel Aviv’s “illegal” act or help it “maintain” the situation.
“All States are under an obligation not to recognize the illegal situation resulting from the construction of the wall and not to render aid or assistance in maintaining the situation created by such construction,” the ICJ said.
However, British Water, the trade association of British water industry companies and workers, has openly defied the international court’s ban by signing, what the Israeli embassy in London called a “landmark water agreement” with Israeli government’s Industrial R & D Center, MATIMOP.
The British government not only failed to condemn the move, but the UK Trade and Investment Department proudly embraced the deal as a triumph.
