RT: The federal trial against alleged computer criminal Barrett Brown has
been delayed by six months. Now the activist once called the
“spokesperson” of the Anonymous hacker movement will wait in prison for
one full year before being tried.
Brown, 31, was scheduled to stand trial later this month for a
slew of charges that have handed down in three separate indictments
filed by the government since last September. Per the request of
his attorneys, however, legal proceedings have been pushed back for
six months, delaying the trial until September 2013.
Doug Morris, a public defender appointed to serve as Brown’s
defense counsel, asked for an extension in order to evaluate the
evidence against his client, the Associate Press reports. US
District Judge Sam Lindsay obliged on Wednesday this week.
The AP adds that Brown’s trial for one indictment is now slated
for September 3, 2013, with trials for his second and third
indictments scheduled to start on Sept. 23. Brown was arrested on
Sept. 12 last year and has been in law enforcement custody for the
nearly six months since.
The AP describes Brown as having Brown "once served as de facto
spokesman for Anonymous, a shadowy movement that has gotten
attention for cyberattacks," although he says he's never
represented himself as such. Although Brown has aligned himself
with the Anonymous movement on several occasions in the past and
have spoken broadly on matters relating to the group, he wrote from
prison last year, “I am not and never have been the spokesman
for Anonymous, nor its ‘public face’ or, worse, ‘self-proclaimed’
‘face’ or ‘spokesperson’ or ‘leader.’”
RT: Two leading figures within the Obama administration now insist that
the president of the United States does not have the authority to launch
drone strikes on US soil.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) received a response from the Obama
administration on Thursday afternoon after spending 13 hours
demanding answers about the possible use of drones inside of the
United States.
During a briefing Thursday afternoon, White House press
secretary Jay Carney said, "The president has not and would not
use drone strikes against American citizens on American
soil.”
Mr. Carney also elected to read a statement penned by Attorney
General Eric Holder earlier that day that had been sent to Sen.
Paul. Mr. Holder’s entire statement, only 43 words, confirmed Mr.
Carney’s remark.
“It has come to my attention that you have now asked an
additional question: ‘Does the President have the authority to use
a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on
American soil?’ The answer to that question is no,” wrote the
attorney general.
Zionist Banned Press TV: An analyst says the former head of IAEA's confirmation of Iran's nuclear
program as solely for peace exposes US sanctions used as a barbaric
tool of war against Iran. In the background of this former IAEA chief
Hans Blax has come out and said there is no evidence and has never been
evidence that Iran is even interested in producing weapons of mass
destruction. He said further that the threat of a nuclear Iran is
"over-hyped". He confirmed that Iran has so far not at all violated the
Nuclear Proliferation treaty and therefore no action can be justified
against Iran in the form of sanctions
By Madison Ruppert: Last month I reported on how Georgia law enforcement agencies have acquired a massive arsenal of military-grade vehicles and weapons through the Department of Defense. Unfortunately, it’s far from isolated.
Many law enforcement agencies acquire military equipment through the Pentagon’s 1033 program. Police have also acquired military robots through the DoD but they have other ways to get their hands on armored surveillance vehicles and armored personnel carriers as well.
Indeed, the Department of Homeland Security gave the city of Keene,
New Hampshire, with a population of less than 25,000, $285,933 to buy an
armored counter-attack vehicle called a BearCat, according to Radley Balko.
Keene has had a whopping three murders since 1999 according to City Data and according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the city lied about the need for the tank-like vehicle built by Lenco Industries, Inc.
The ACLU points out that a Keene City Councilmember actually admitted
that the city lied about their need for the BearCat to DHS.

woefully myopic and one-sided picture of the Syrian conflict, giving
uninformed viewers a completely erroneous picture of what has gone on
since 2011 and what is going on today.
Most recently, the Arab League has approved the open arming of Syrian rebels with the approval of the United States (though the US has helped funnel arms to rebels for quite a while now) and United Nations peacekeepers were taken hostage by Syrian rebels in Golan Heights.
The documentary was screened at California State University, Northridge on March 6 and was followed by a question and answer period featuring Syrian artist Fadia Afashe and actor Jihad Abdo.
During this question and answer period, the two avoided directly answering questions about the al-Nusra Front, or Jabhat al-Nusra, the prominent Syrian rebel group that was listed as a terrorist organization by the United States in 2012.
One of the most despicable features of the EU is its secrecy. Another
despicable feature is the way the EU wastes our money. There is
something about to happen that will combine this secrecy and waste.
By UKIP Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall.
• The
member states of the EU, racked by the financial crisis, have requested
a cut in the EU budget. This is a welcome move. However it has angered
the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, who actually
wants an increase in the budget to help pay for the champagne and caviar
lifestyle he is accustomed to.
Schulz is a German Socialist and, even by the standards of career
politicians, is a fanatical Europhile. In the upcoming European
Parliament vote on the budget, Schulz has demanded a secret ballot, and
he only needs 151 MEPs to back him for it to become a reality. To
give you some idea of how unusual this move is, this secret ballot
procedure has only been used three times in the 34 years of the European
Parliament's existence.
The European Parliament's archive service have already confirmed this (Request number 17044 and answer number 29576).
The reason is simple. Schulz thinks it is okay for career politicians
to keep how they vote a secret from the people who pay for their
salaries and expenses. To Schulz, the taxpayer, already at breaking
point financially, should be squeezed even harder for even more money -
and to add insult to injury, they should not be allowed to know which
politicians are squeezing them.

The Slog: The Prime Minister is to deliver a speech West Yorkshire this
week, expressing cautious optimism that the country may be emerging
from the economic crisis, because there are actually no signs of that at
all, and he has to say something, otherwise under the existing
Conservative Leadership Rules he will be stabbed to death without mercy.
Here he talks live and in person about why he should be given just one
more chance pretty please.
“Now look here everyone, there’s been a lot of idle gossip over the
last few weeks about everyone in the Conservative Party apart from
George and Ollie wanting to get rid of me and I would just like to put
the minds of all those who think I’m doing a great job at rest, so don’t
be concerned Mr & Mrs Jim Kit of 23 Glenn Close, I’m not going
without a fight. There are all sorts of new initiatives in the pipeline,
ready to go, up and about to be running and on the stocks waiting for
the starter’s orders, so watch this space.
“Let’s be clear about this, we are going to go out there and jolly
well give it our best shot in order to ensure that children with access
to the internet give the marketing companies leading our export drive
every last ounce of information they possibly can, and that the bankers
giving so much of their money to the Treasury in taxes are not hampered
by having their hard-earned bonuses capped. Throughout my life I have
believed in equality, and the importance of everyone getting a leg up
which is why I think it absolutely right that we are sending equipment
and vehicles – but no weapons of course, none of that nonsense – to the
Syrian rebels in order to equalise things when the evil forces of Basher
Assad seem not to be giving in like we said they would, which is most
unfortunate but only to be expected when dealing with those who plunge
pitchforks into babies.

In official testimony before Congress in December 1912, just three months before his death, J.P. Morgan stated quite plainly:
“[Credit] is not the money itself. Money is gold, and nothing else.”
(the quote is almost Shakespearean in its unrhymed iambic pentameter…)
Of course, this testimony came only 253 days before H.R. 7837, better
known as the Federal Reserve Act, was introduced on the floor of
Congress.
The Federal Reserve Act went on to become law and pave the way for
the perpetual fraud of fiat currency which underpins our modern
financial system.
And if unbacked paper currency isn’t bad enough, we award dictatorial
control of the money supply to a tiny handful of people, and then
simply trust them to be good guys.
Between the four of them, Masaakai Shirakawa (Bank of Japan), Mario
Draghi (European Central Bank), Mervyn King (Bank of England), and
Benjamin Shalom Bernanke (US Federal Reserve) control an astounding
$8.85 trillion.
And given the speed with which they are printing currency and expanding credit, it’s a number that’s only going to increase.
Morgan was right. Credit is not money. The word credit comes from the Latin ‘credere’, which means ‘to believe or trust.’
And when it comes to maintaining the purchasing power of their
currencies, these guys have an absolutely stellar long-term track
record, completely unblemished by success. In short, they have given us
no reason to trust them.
Owning gold is the same as voting against this system, turning your
paper currency into something that they cannot inflate or conjure out of
thin air.
Yet there’s one problem.
By Michael Snyder: The world is rapidly running out of clean water. Some of the largest
lakes and rivers on the globe are being depleted at a very frightening
pace, and many of the most important underground aquifers that we depend
on to irrigate our crops will soon be gone. At this point,
approximately 40 percent of the entire population of the planet has
little or no access to clean water, and it is being projected that by
2025 two-thirds of humanity will live in "water-stressed" areas. But
most Americans are not too concerned about all of this because they
assume that North America has more fresh water than anyone else does.
And actually they would be right about that, but the truth is that even
North America is rapidly running out of water and it is going to change
all of our lives. Today, the most important underground water source in
America, the Ogallala Aquifer, is rapidly running dry. The most
important lake in the western United States, Lake Mead, is rapidly
running dry. The most important river in the western United States, the
Colorado River, is rapidly running dry. Putting our heads in the sand
and pretending that we are not on the verge of an absolutely horrific
water crisis is not going to make it go away. Without water, you cannot
grow crops, you cannot raise livestock and you cannot support modern
cities. As this global water crisis gets worse, it is going to affect
every single man, woman and child on the planet. I encourage you to keep
reading and learn more.
The U.S. intelligence community understands what is happening.
According to one shocking government report that was released last year,
the global need for water will exceed the global supply of water by 40 percent by the year 2030...
