By Clayton Craddock: There is one thing you should know about me. I feel the way court ordered child support is handled in our culture is ridiculous, and is a really bad idea. As some members of the GOP would say, it should be “defunded,” but there is no need to shut down the government – maybe. I wrote extensively on my thoughts and experiences with family court and child support HERE, but I want to expand on it a little bit.
Recently, I have been reading online about manhood. When I ask people what a “real man” is, I get all kinds of answers. While reading a few things online, I stumbled across an image that said, “A Real Man Pays Child Support.” When I saw the image, I immediately had to write my thoughts down. I subsequently wrote a blog post about it. A few hours later I got a comment on my blog from a woman who said:

The Pirate Party of Luxembourg - Interview with Jerry Weyer

By Patrick Schiffer: Following the collapse of the government of the tiny European country of Luxembourg, due to a spying scandal, early elections were called and took place on 20 October 2013. The Pirate Party of Luxembourg was hoping to get 2% of the vote, in their first ever election and were overjoyed to see their share of the vote reaching the 2.94% over all and 3.37% in the north of the country.
They are now the best of the small parties and the media talks about a surprise win. And yes, the PPLU gained the most after the liberals, the highest scored was 6,7% in one district. They staged the most effective campaign, with around 0,26€ per vote and the lowest budget from all in total of 25.000€. Measured on the results, they were the second biggest winner in the elections. Another 0,5%  and they would have won a seat.
We spoke with Jerry Weyer, candidate and election campaign manager of the Pirate Party Luxembourg:
Pirate Times:
I heard reports that PPLU will be getting 100.000 Euro per year for this result. Is this true? And how big was your election budget?
Jerry Weyer:
Our goal was to get 2% in each of the 4 districts (North, South, Centre, East). We did even better than this with 2,94% (second best Pirate result ever in national elections). This result guarantees us in principle an annual support of 3 times our annual expenses in the election year, up to 100.000€.

Merkel's ObamaPhone Scandal Escalates: US Ambassador Summoned By German Foreign Minister

Submitted by Tyler Durden: The diplomatic farce in the aftermath of the most recent revelations that Obama had tapped not only Hollande's but Merkel's cell phone as well, continued when moments ago Germany's Foreign Ministry summoned the U.S. ambassador to explain if it was indeed true the NSA "may be spying" on Merkel, a ministry spokeswoman said. They used the word "may" loosely.  John B. Emerson, the newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Germany, will meet Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle Thursday afternoon.

But while the latest diplomatic escalation will have zero impact whatsoever on either US spying intentions, mostly of US citizens let alone foreigners, or German-US relations, what is missing is that had this "scandal" happened four short months ago, the summoned US Ambassador would be none other than former Goldman senior director and head of Goldman Germany, Philip Murphy. Had that been the case someone may have just put two and two together.

Ranking number 2 on the long list of fundamental reference reads is this humble Gonzo author’s own effort entitled “Setting the Record Straight,” an essay designed specifically to undermine a copious number of historical falsehoods and to introduce quite a few large facts that somehow our educational overlords forgot to tell any of their students about.

Bitcoin’s Biggest Exchange is Now in China as the Price Tops $200/btc

By Michael Krieger: I knew Baidu’s decision to accept Bitcoin for its Jiasule service was a big deal the moment I saw it, but I didn’t expect the move in price upward to be this powerful and this immediate.  There’s a new player in the global Bitcoin marketplace and that player is huge.
China is now not only the number two downloader of Bitcoin software globally, it also hosts the world’s most active exchange. That exchange is called BTC China, and according to Wired now accounts for 33% of bitcoin trades, compared to 23% at Mt. Gox. That’s incredible considering earlier this year it was reported that Mt. Gox had up to 80% of total global trade volume. Meanwhile, apparently merchants on the Ebay of China, Taobao.com, have begun to accept bitcoin.
