#1 We like to think that we have a government "of
the people, by the people, for the people", but the truth is that an
unelected, unaccountable group of central planners has far more power
over our economy than anyone else in our society does.
Telling the truth has become a revolutionary act, so let us salute those who disclose the necessary facts.

A Christmas Letter for Fathers Alienated from their Children
By Janet Bloomfield (aka JudgyBitch): Kate Winslet has been in the news lately,
threatening to sue Fathers4Justice over an ad campaign criticizing
comments she made in the media indicating that she does not believe in
shared parenting.
Winslet, who has three children by three different fathers, may or may not be handling her family dynamics well, ensuring that her children continue to enjoy the undeniable benefits of a continued relationship with their fathers. That is a moot point. Winslet’s personal circumstances are irrelevant. What IS relevant is her assertion that shared parenting, this “50/50 time with mums and dads” – is negative and detrimental to children’s well-being.
And for that, she deserves to be called out.
None of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads – my children live with me; that is it.The comments appeared in Vogue magazine, and Ms. Winslet does not deny that she uttered them.

“Oh, my God! Those poor children! They must have gone through so much”.Winslet’s first husband, Jim Threapleton, agrees with Fathers4Justice, and said he went months without seeing their daughter, Mia, but even so, the point is not how Winslet is managing her own circumstances – the point is that as a public figure, she is explicitly encouraging custodial parents to reject shared parenting.
Says who? They’ve always been with me. They don’t go from pillar to post; they’re not flown here and there with nannies.
And for that, she deserves to be called out.
“Almost Every Passenger on a Flight from Dubai to Calicut Was Found Carrying 1kg of Gold” - The Times of India
By Michael Krieger: Watching Indian bureaucrats attempt to halt more than one billion
human beings’ desire for gold has been one of the more entertaining and
pathetic stories of all of 2013. It is one that I have covered on many
occasions, the latest being my post from earlier this month: Gold Smuggling Increases 7x in India and Surpasses Illegal Drug Trade.
Well it appears the trend continues, potentially at an accelerated rate, as we just learned that, incredibly, “almost every passenger on a flight from Dubai to Calicut was found carrying 1kg of gold.” As I have said many times in the past, if an Indian wants their gold, they will have their gold.
CHENNAI: Faced with curbs on gold imports and crash in international prices leaving it cheaper in other countries, gold houses and smugglers are turning to NRIs to bring in the yellow metal legally after paying duty. Any NRI, who has stayed abroad for more than six months, is allowed to bring in 1kg gold.
It was evident last week when almost every passenger on a flight from Dubai to Calicut was found carrying 1kg of gold, totalling up to 80kg (worth about Rs 24 crore). At Chennai airport, 13 passengers brought the legally permitted quantity of gold in the past one week.
“It’s not illegal. But the 80kg gold that landed in Calicut surprised us.

China's Cash Crunch Threatens Shadow Banking Shock
The credit squeeze in China is no longer a local issue and any misjudgment by
the central bank will have global ramifications
By
Ambrose Evans-Pritchard: A blast of money from China’s central bank has failed to stem a deepening cash
crunch in the country as liquidity dries up and struggling lenders hoard
funds.
One-week borrowing costs in Shanghai jumped 119 basis points to 8.643pc, the
highest since the cash crisis in June that sent minor tremors through the
financial system. Though less volatile, the crucial 3-month ‘Shibor’ rate
watched for signs of trouble in the shadow banking sector has climbed 80
points to 5.52pc since the beginning of the month.
Fitch Ratings says the biggest risk may lie in China’s wealth management
products, a “hidden second balance sheet” of the banks alone worth $2
trillion.
Half of all liabilities have to be rolled over every three months and a
further 25pc every six months. There are reports that some are already
under water.
If rates remain at current levels for long, weaker funds could be caught in a
squeeze akin to the shock that hit Northern Rock and Lehman Brothers in the
West when the capital markets seized up.
On The Importance Of Being A Supervillain - The COCK Fairy
Feminism vs Facts: Marissa Alexander, Angela Corey, & Melissa Harris-Perry + Hood Rat In Washington Assaults Man & Goes Crazy When Treated Like A Man!
By Diana Davison: The end of 2013 is fast approaching and it’s that list-making time of year. Weighing in at number twenty three in iconic feminist moments
was the release of an African-American woman named Marissa Alexander
from jail while awaiting a retrial for three counts of aggravated
assault with a deadly weapon. Given that women get lesser sentences for
actually killing their target, this case is curious.
So, who is this feminist poster girl?
Feminists will tell you that Marissa is a battered woman “condemned” to 20 years in prison merely for firing a warning shot into the ceiling to prevent her abusive husband from beating her. They have campaigned relentlessly for her release. Radicalwomen.com joined the “Free Marissa Now” campaign pleading with us to “stop the legal lynching by Florida’s mandatory minimum sentencing laws of an African American domestic violence survivor.” The Feminist Wire begged readers to sign a petition with the slogan “Justice for Marissa! Set her Free!” And the Free Marissa Now website boasts a number of feminist organizations that are supporting and funding her legal defence.
The feminist version of the story goes like this: Marissa found herself trapped in her home with a violent husband, who had a history of abuse, and against whom she had a restraining order. She had given birth just nine days before the altercation. When she escaped from the house and arrived at her car, she realized she had forgotten her keys. She then grabbed a gun (for which she had a permit) from the car and fired a warning shot at her estranged husband when he threatened to kill her and made a movement in her direction.
Marissa invoked Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” defence. She was denied that defence and found guilty by a jury in just over twelve minutes. This resulted in the mandatory minimum 20 year sentencing for gun crimes in that state.
Sounds like a travesty.
It also sounds like a hay wagon full of horse shit.

On The 100th Anniversary Of The US Federal Reserve Here Are 100 Reasons To Shut It Down Forever
By Michael Snyder: December
23rd, 1913 is a date which will live in infamy. That was the day when
the Federal Reserve Act was pushed through Congress. Many members of
Congress were absent that day, and the general public was distracted
with holiday preparations. Now we have reached the 100th anniversary of
the Federal Reserve, and most Americans still don't know what it
actually is or how it functions. But understanding the Federal Reserve
is absolutely critical, because the Fed is at the very heart of our
economic problems. Since the Federal Reserve was created, there have
been 18 recessions or depressions, the value of the U.S. dollar has
declined by 98 percent, and the U.S. national debt has gotten more than
5000 times larger. This insidious debt-based financial system has
literally made debt slaves out of all of us, and it is systematically
destroying the bright future that our children and our grandchildren
were supposed to have. If nothing is done, we are inevitably heading
for a massive amount of economic pain as a nation. So please share this
article with as many people as you can. The following are 100 reasons
why the Federal Reserve should be shut down forever...
