By Ayami Tyndall: Awareness of men’s rights issues is on the rise around the globe. Slowly but surely, the unique plights of men and boys are receiving coverage in the mainstream media, though with varying degrees of positivity. The growth in awareness is not surprising given the clear and logical basis of most issues voiced by the MRM and the dedication of men’s rights activists. However, a quiet, veiled obstacle still pervades public discourse on men’s issues. In any social circle, even the most rigorously documented and obviously fair calls for social reform will be met with a particular type of evasive response from non-activists.
Most often this occurs when a non-MRA is presented with one of the more basic, less controversial men’s issues. Faced with a simple call for change built from well established studies and statistics, they will agree that reform is called for. Of course fathers should have fair time with their children. Of course boys should receive good education. Of course men should have access to birth control options.
However, things get problematic after that initial show of support. No one can argue with bare bricks of logic, so even those who don’t believe in men’s rights will tentatively agree lest they look as foolish as a climate change believer. Instead of openly disagreeing, they begin tacking on caveats. Like a lawyer adding clauses, a pseudo-supporter adds buts and ifs, saying reform should be made but only under very specific, politically correct and usually pro-feminist conditions.

Several US officials, including former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who owns a home in the same town, had called for Copeland's resignation.
Last week, Copeland said that he would not apologize for the remarks and stands by them.
“I believe I did use the ‘N’ word in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse,” Copeland said in an email. “For this, I do not apologize - he meets and exceeds my criteria for such.”

This entire trave  sty of journalism was initiated when Tracy Howe, Chief Executive of Domestic Violence NSW, created an online petition calling for “zero tolerance” (whatever that is supposed to mean) on Domestic Violence and urging the Prime Minister to “host a national summit with state premiers and key stakeholders.”
And the reason for this? Well, according to her, Domestic Violence in Australia has reached epidemic proportions. Epidemic, she says!
I will take a moment’s pause to allow you to complete your panic attack.
According to Ms. Howe:

We need mobilisation on this and it has to come from the top. We are pleading with Tony Abbott to lead on this. I think it’s about saying for once we are going to pull together all our resources and treat this in the way we would if it was a national disaster of any kind, like a flood or a bushfire, and deal with it head on.

Wow! Sounds like a pretty serious emergency. Reports of Domestic Violence (DV) must be increasing at an absolutely alarming rate!

Chilean Activist Burns $500 Million of Student Loan Documents in Protest Against Debt Serfdom

By Michael Krieger: This story struck a particular chord with me considering my mother left Chile for the United States back in the early 70′s after Salvador Allende was elected President. She was able to instinctively see the writing on the wall, and got out ahead of the political chaos, military coup and dictatorship that followed.
Beyond my own person connection, I find this to be a very important story in that it further highlights the fact that the current war/civil unrest cycle is an interconnected global phenomenon. Since the parasitic Central Bank driven financial system is more or less entrenched in every country on earth, every country on earth is experiencing increased concentrations of wealth into the pockets of a handful of oligarchs. Meanwhile, those nations which heretofore had a middle class are finding that this entire socio-economic class is disappearing into the dustbin of history via a variety of methods, not the least of which is criminal quantities of student loans. These loans are pushing an entire generation into inescapable serfdom, while many university administrators are enriching themselves at their expense.
So it appears student loan based debt serfdom is also a major issue in Chile, and one activist, known as “Papas Fritas,” decided to take matters into his own hands. During a takeover at Universidad del Mar, he was able to get his hands on $500 million of student debt, which he subsequently torched.
