The West pretends that this isn’t so, because Washington and its puppet capitals don’t recognize the independence of formerly captive peoples. But the West’s opinion no longer counts.

In the last couple of days the newly formed military units of the Donetsk National Republic have defeated and surrounded large portions of the remaining Ukrainian military. Russian President Putin asked the Donetsk Republic to allow the defeated Ukrainians to return home to their wives and mothers. The Donetsk Republic agreed to Putin’s mercy request as long as the Ukrainians left their weapons behind. The Donetsk Republic is short on weapons as, contrary to Western lies, the Donetsk Republic is not supplied with weapons by Russia.

Hackers Launch All-Out Assault on Norway's Oil and Gas Industry

MOTHERBOARD: In what's being billed as the largest ever coordinated cyberattack in Norway, hackers have targeted some 300 different firms within the country's oil and energy industries. The attacks were revealed last week by the Nasjonal Sikkerhetsmyndighet (National Security Authority Norway), which had been tipped off to the attacks by "international contacts.”
The NSM cited 50 companies that were known to have been attacked and another 250 that may have been targets and who received warning letters from the agency, according to the Local, an English-language Norwegian news source. The extent of the hacking remains unknown, though Statoil, the nation's largest oil and gas firm and one of Europe's biggest energy suppliers, was among the targets.
NSM operations director Hans Christian Pretorius relayed more details to the Norwegian newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv (via Naked Security):

They (the hackers) have done research beforehand and gone after key functions and key personnel in the various companies. Emails that appear to be legitimate are sent to persons in important roles at the companies with attachments. If the targeted employees open the attachments, a destructive program will be unleashed that checks the target's system for various holes in its security system. If a hole is found, the program will open a communications channel with the hackers and then the "really serious attack programs" can infect the targeted company’s computer system.

While most senior ministers have retained their positions, economic minister Arnaud Montebourg was replaced by Emmanuel Macron, a former investment banker and economic adviser at the Elysée.
Hollande is already the most unpopular president in French history so he is not risking much by removing a political opponent like Montebourg (who should never have been part of a so-called reform program to begin with). Montebourg is a man of the old school and of old ideas: Among other things, he titled himself "Minister of Industrial Resurrection." His ideas included threatening to fine businesses for each job they failed to create and speaking against globalisation.

These male victims are simply swept under the carpet, psychologically speaking, and they are cunningly disappeared from view.

Indeed, the official domestic violence statistics also sweep them under the carpet by specifically excluding male victims of domestic violence if the perpetrators are men.

World Inflation Makes 56-Month Low

GaveKal Capital: Our world inflation proxy, which simply takes the equal-weighted, year-over-year change for 33 different countries CPI, hit its lowest level since November 2009. The proxy stands at 1.72% which is just lower than the level it hit in February. We identify six countries, all in Europe, where the year-over-year change in consumer prices is basically zero (Switzerland, Sweden) or there is currently outright deflation in consumer prices.
