American Woman Sentenced to Jail for Not Mowing Her Lawn

“It’s not right. Why would you put me in jail with child molesters and people who’ve done real crimes, because I haven’t maintained my yard.”
By Michael Krieger: The trend of average U.S. citizens being incarcerated by overzealous judges and prosecutors within the police state formerly known as America continues with reckless abandon. In fact, these sorts of cases are becoming so commonplace I simply cannot keep up with all of them. The following story is a perfect followup to my piece earlier today, which shows how American public school students are being arrested or harassed by police for the most minor of infractions, such as wearing too much perfume, sharing a classmates’ chicken nuggets, throwing an eraser or chewing gum.
If you are an adult American slave, you can add not mowing your lawn to the list of prison-worthy crimes in the police state.
From Yahoo News:

If you are a resident of Lenoir City, Tennessee, you might want to remember to mow your lawn — otherwise, you will be spending the night in jail.
Karen Holloway just spent six hours in a jail cell for failing to maintain her yard in accordance with the standards set by the city.

Oops! More US Foreign Policy Incompetence? 'Humanitarian Aid' Is Going Directly To ISIS!

By Michael Krieger: The convoys have to be approved by ISIS and you have to pay them: The bribes are disguised and itemized as transportation costs,” says an aid coordinator who spoke to The Daily Beast on the condition he not be identified in this article. The kickbacks are either paid by foreign or local nongovernmental organizations tasked with distributing the aid, or by the Turkish or Syrian transportation companies contracted to deliver it.
The State Department official said he, too, was conflicted about the programs… “Are we helping indirectly the militants to build their caliphate? I wrestle with this.”
- From Sunday’s Daily Beast article: U.S. Humanitarian Aid Going to ISIS
The Daily Beast has been at the forefront of exposing the bizarre emergence of the latest terror threat known as ISIS, which is being used to take away civil liberties at home, and fuel more chaos and destruction abroad. It was their work in June that first highlighted the fact that ISIS was and is being funded and supported by U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf.

Apocalypse Now - Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert with Mitch Feierstein

Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss the horror, the horror of the apocalyptic scenes that central banksters have wrought upon the innocent and the deranged alike. This apocalyptic aftermath of meeting the Colonely Kurtz like central bankers is an economy in which the under-30s are left behind and the pauperization of workers through inflation. They also look at the testimony in the lawsuit by Maurice ‘Hank’ Greenberg in which it was revealed that then Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson lied to Congress!

Britain Isn’t Working, It’s Borrowing

By Stacy Herbert: This is the problem with neo-feudalism. One, obviously, cannot tax the oligarchs, lords, banksters and property speculators, which leaves you with the ugly people who have to work for food (and then just barely). This is the inevitable conclusion to any such pyramid scheme.

The state of Britain’s finances deteriorated unexpectedly in September, pushing the deficit 10% higher in the first half of the year and leaving the chancellor further off course in his deficit reduction plans.
Borrowing last month totalled £11.8bn, £1.6bn higher than September 2013 and more than a billion higher than City economists were forecasting, as government spending increased more than the value of its tax receipts.
And here is the evidence of the denial of the small ruling elite and the few lucky winners of Thatcher’s great Right to Buy giveaway:

The Trouble With Boys In Education

By MRA-UK: The trouble with boys’ under-achievement in education is well known. Is it really a trouble with boys, or instead a trouble with teachers or a biased pedagogy?  Some simple research is presented here which reveals interesting features in UK educational attainment data which are not conveyed by accounts of the issue in the lame stream media.
Let’s start with primary school SATs, of which Key Stage 2 (KS2), taken at age 11, is the most interesting. The 2013 KS2 SATs results for all schools in England can be downloaded in Excel format from Ref.[1]. The file also contains historic SAT data from 2007 onwards. Results for the whole of England are expressed in the form of the percentage of the cohort attaining a given SAT level. In two subjects, reading and maths, SAT results are given both for tests and also for teachers’ assessments. By subtracting the test result from the teacher assessment, say for girls, a measure of teacher error for the girls is obtained. Subtracting the teacher error for boys from the teacher error for girls gives a measure of teacher bias, i.e.,

Teacher Bias =  (Agirls – Tgirls) – (Aboys – Tboys)

"Anti-Petrodollar" CEO Of French Energy Giant Total Dies In 'Freak' Plane Crash In Moscow

Tyler Durden's picture Three months ago, the CEO of Total, Christophe de Margerie, dared utter the phrase heard around the petrodollar world, "There is no reason to pay for oil in dollars,"  as we noted here. Today, RT reports the dreadful news that he was killed in a business jet crash at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow after the aircraft hit a snow-plough on take-off. The airport issued a statement confirming "a criminal investigation has been opened into the violation of safety regulations," adding that along with 3 crewmembers on the plane, the snow-plough driver was also killed.

Another Beautiful Sociopath - IHOW

By It is day 20 of Domestic Violence Awareness Month for Men and Boys 2014, the invisible victims of domestic violence. Today’s In His Own Words is yet another example of the meat grinder men find themselves in when they don’t have an understanding of abusive, sociopathic women.
The following is just a fraction of what “Matt’s” ex has put him, their children, and his family through. She is still playing games with custody and using others to commit proxy violence against Matt. The UK family court system has enabled much of it.

Life With the Missus
It began at my workplace. She was younger than me and married, so we were friends and nothing more. After eight months of friendship, she announced out of the blue that she had told her ex-husband she was leaving him. She quickly added the disclaimer, “My leaving him has nothing to do with you.”
I had absolutely no idea she was having any problems with her marriage, and the way she spoke about her husband, it was as if everything was fine. I asked, “Why have you left him then?”
She claimed she’d been sleeping on the couch for months, and that he’d had sex with three of her “friends” five years ago. She went on to say that he was a “useless father” to their two kids and that he was “lazy.” At the time, I felt very sorry for her, thinking, “What kind of person could do a thing like that with her friends?”
That was back in 2006.

Christophe de Margerie, CEO of Total, Dies in Small Plane Crash in Russia

By Stacy Herbert: I first heard of de Margerie when we made the film Peaked for Aljazeera English. He was the first senior oil executive to mention ‘peak oil,’ which angered many others in the industry.
The last we heard from him, however, was from this July 5, 2014 Bloomberg story we covered:
Total’s de Margerie Sees No Need for Dollars in Oil Purchases
“Nothing prevents anyone from paying for oil in euros,” de Margerie told journalists at the Cercle des Economistes conference in Aix-en-Provence, France. “The price of a barrel of oil is quoted in dollars. A refinery can take that price and using the euro-dollar exchange rate on any given day, agree to make the payment in euros.”
The remarks from the head of France’s largest oil company are the latest in a debate sparked by an $8.97 billion fine slapped by the U.S. on French bank BNP Paribas SA (BNP) for transactions carried out in dollars in countries facing American sanctions.
I’m sure it had nothing to do with his death, of course [insert nervous laugh], but here’s the second comment on that Bloomberg article:
