Fathers4Justice Blocked From Speaking In Parliament
By Nadine O’Connor: Fathers4Justice today said they believe they have been blocked from speaking at a meeting in Parliament this Tuesday on ‘The Changing Role of Fathers’, being chaired by the Right Revered, Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham.
Fathers4Justice had been scheduled as speaking at the event organised by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Parents and Families. They were informed last week that ‘due to timings’ there was no space for them after ‘Ministers’ were confirmed as attending. It is believed the Minister concerned is former Family Law Barrister and Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, Edward Timpson MP.
The organisers refused to respond to enquiries from Fathers4Justice whether their removal was down to political pressure or whether other groups had also been removed from the schedule.
Said F4J Campaign Director, Nadine O’Connor, “We are deeply saddened that yet again, the families we represent have been denied a voice in their own Parliament. We have raised the issue with the organisers and the Bishop of Durham, but to date we have had no response.”
“The only conclusion we can draw, is that as on countless previous occasions over the last 14 years, we have again been denied an opportunity to present our case and oral testimony because of political pressure.

10 Reasons Washington Has War Fever
"War is merely the continuation of policy by other means." – Carl von Clausewitz
By Ron Holland: The political elites, Federal Reserve and special interests that really run the show hiding behind Congress and the president of either party in America's closed two-party monopoly seem to be running scared in many regards. They rightly have many fears for their political future as well as the profits and survival of the major international corporations and banking interests that support the current political leadership and regime.Never has our nation, corporations and wealthy top 1% faced so many new threats to their efforts to grow their power and wealth around the world. Although there is enough blame and mistakes to go around, many of these threats can not really be blamed on our political or financial leaders but rather result from changes in the fast-paced world we live in today.
A Voice For Men: Snarkytweet Leads To An Opportunity?
By Paul Elam: One of the most shopworn habits of the feminist version of the “men’s movement” is trotting out the canard that the MHRM does not actually do anything to help men. I heard it for about the ten thousandth time today in a tweet from one such concerned individual, Mr. David Pilbäck of mensmovement.com as follows.
Another voice from the outside, who I can imagine felt quite triumphant with each retweet of his snarky little suggestion. So, I called him on it.
To which he replied.
Heard you’ve got a lot of $ these days. Want to help men? Why not use the $ setting up a hotline for male depressed? @AVoiceForMen

Spain’s Catalonia Seeks Own Tax System
The Catalan government is seeking to set up its own tax
system as the autonomous region prepares for secession from
Spain.
Press TV: The government of Catalan President Artur Mas has enlisted a former Spanish tax inspector, Joan Iglesias, to prepare the administration to collect its own taxes.
Iglesias said on Friday that the Catalan tax authority could collect about €100 billion (USD113 billion) in taxes a year, more than the €65 billion (USD72 billion) needed for an independent Catalan state.
“Everyone knows that Catalonia would be viable economically," Iglesias said, adding, "It is the most economically productive territory in Spain.”
According to reports, the Catalan tax authority currently collects only five percent of the total amount of taxes raised in the wealthy northeastern region of Spain.
The Catalan president recently established a commission tasked with supervising the creation of structures in a possible independent Catalonia.
Earlier this month, Roger Albinyana, Catalan government’s deputy minister for external affairs, announced the region’s willingness to open some 50 embassies across the globe to represent its interests.

Practicing Non-Violence in Our Home
“Go to your room!”
“Wait until your father gets home… “
“Do you want me to use my belt?”
By The Dissident Dad: This is what I remember as a child when I was in trouble. My mother spanked me with a wooden spoon. My father used a thick leather belt. Some of you reading this may have similar memories.
A 2002 ABC News poll reported that by about a 2:1 margin, American parents spank their children. In fact, according to the U.S. Department of Education, in Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, school-sanctioned spanking is still widespread.
Hitting children is still normal. Most of us who were spanked may observe that we turned out fine, but the truth is we will never know. None of us have any idea how we might have turned out without any spankings – perhaps better, or perhaps worse.
What we do know today is that scientists can prove that physical violence in a child’s life by a parent can not only alter the brain in a traumatized way, but evidence also shows that the child will possess less gray matter in its brain development.

Annaly’s CEO Accurately Compares Central Bankers To Witch Doctors; Possible “Blood-Letters”
The story of bloodletting is intertwined in the mysterious fabric of medical lore; it originated from magic and religious ceremonies. The physician and priest were one and the same since disease was thought to be caused by supernatural causes. Witch doctors and sorcerers were called on to drive out the evil spirits and demons. Bloodletting was a method for cleansing the body of ill-defined impurities and excess fluid. The early instruments included thorns, pointed sticks and bones, sharp pieces of flint or shell, and even sharply pointed shark’s teeth. Miniature bow and arrow devices for bloodletting have been found in South America and New Guinea. A small bloodletting instrument resembling a crossbow was once used in Greece and Malta. Wall paintings dating from 1400 B.C. depict the use of leeches for drawing blood from human beings.

You are careful to get not just affirmative consent, but indeed, enthusiastic consent for all your campus sex positive adventures. They are all sober: you test all your partners for drugs, alcohol and mental disorders beforehand and reject any that are suspect. You’ve got signed consent forms from your partner(s), living witnesses to the signing of the consent forms, video and audio records of the sex in both visible and infrared light, and living witnesses to the sex, some of whom watched while wearing infrared military-class gear. Your many partners are well satisfied and admit they consented to the sex of their own free will, and would happily do so again if they get the chance.

The Neoconservative Threat To World Order
By Paul Craig Roberts: This week I was invited to address an important conference of the
Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. Scholars from Russia and from
around the world, Russian government officials, and the Russian people
seek an answer as to why Washington destroyed during the past year the
friendly relations between America and Russia that President Reagan and
President Gorbachev succeeded in establishing. All of Russia is
distressed that Washington alone has destroyed the trust between the two
major nuclear powers that had been created during the Reagan-Gorbachev
era, trust that had removed the threat of nuclear armageddon. Russians
at every level are astonished at the virulent propaganda and lies
constantly issuing from Washington and the Western media. Washington’s
gratuitous demonization of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has
rallied the Russian people behind him. Putin has the highest approval
rating ever achieved by any leader in my lifetime.
Washington’s reckless and irresponsible destruction of the trust achieved by Reagan and Gorbachev has resurrected the possibility of nuclear war from the grave in which Reagan and Gorbachev buried it. Again, as during the Cold War the specter of nuclear armageddon stalks the earth.

China Just Sided With Russia Over The Ukraine Conflict
Submitted by Tyler Durden: When it comes to the Ukraine proxy war, which started in earnest just about one year ago with the violent coup that overthrew then president Yanukovich and replaced him with a local pro-US oligarch, there has been no ambiguity who the key actors were: on the left, we had the west, personified by the US, the European Union, and NATO in general; while on the right we had Russia. In fact, if there was any confusion, it was about the role of that other "elephant in the room" - China.
To be sure, a question few asked throughout the Ukraine civil war is just whose side is China leaning toward. After all the precarious balance of power between NATO and Russia had resulted in a stalemate in which neither side has an obvious advantage (even as the Ukraine economy died, and its currency hyperinflated, waiting for a clear winner), and the explicit or implicit support of China to either camp would make all the difference in the world, not to mention the world's most formidable axis.
Today we finally got the answer, and the winner is... Putin:
Apartheid: Israeli Green Shirts Attack Palestinian Protesters In Occupied West Bank
Zio-Nazis attacked two separate groups of Palestinians protesting in the occupied West Bank and opened fire to disperse the crowds.
Press TV: On Friday, dozens of Palestinians and international activists held a demonstration in the village of Bil’in, located about 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) west of the city of Ramallah, to express their resentment over the construction of the separation wall, which snakes across the occupied West Bank, isolating large swathes of Palestinian land.
Violence erupted when Israeli troops assaulted the protesters and fired tear gas canisters to break up the protest. Israeli soldiers also arrested several people. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The total length of the wall being built in the West Bank is approximately 700 kilometers. Palestinians see the wall as a symbol of occupation and Tel Aviv’s apartheid policies, saying the structure has divided people and communities.

Men Scatter, Women Gather…
By Clint Carpentier: As arbitrarily promised, the second part of Over reading the nice guy…
I was talking to my Dad some time ago about fe/male relations. I’ve always thought of him when watching Clint Eastwood, they look nothing alike, but similar purple pill Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) mentality and no-holds-barred directness; I love him and his insight, despite his not actually raising me (but that’s a whole different topic: moms!!! They can fuck everything up!).
My Dad, is the quintessential MAN!!!
I can NOT… exaggerate his general manness. For instance, back when I was able to visit him during school holidays, I have this memory; I was sleeping on his couch, he and his girlfriend were arguing (if I got the story straight, it was about me), next thing I know, both of them are scuffling all the way up the length of his trailer, naked, and he shoves her out the door, and goes back to bed. Say what you want about that scene, his rarely seen child (he has no daughters, so I can’t extrapolate any difference), was more important to him, than his regular lay; Understand that, and you will understand most fathers, pussy is everywhere, your kids are finite, and time is short.
My Dad, bless his soul, worries an exorbitant amount, over things I’ve long since forgotten; like not being allowed by trailer management, to let me build a tree fort, or teaching me how to swim; he still stresses about the time I was stung by a yellow jacket, and when he had to pierce a canker in my mouth. This is a 6’4″ MAN, a Vietnam vet, who still worries about his influence, or lack thereof, on his only child;

Greece To Exclude Siemens, Rheinmetall & Eurocopter From Public Procurements
By KTG: Greece plans to exclude German companies Siemens and Rheinmetall as well as Franco-German helicopter manufacturer Airbus Helicopters (former Eurocopter) from public procurements. Furthermore, the new Greek government intends to bring the issue of the practices of these three companies to the agenda of the European Parliament.
Speaking to defense news website Onalert.gr, Alternate Defense Minister Kostas Ysichos (SYRIZA) said that these three companies have to be excluded from procurements due to illegal practices, “the proven fraudulent transactions they have done in order to secure public procurements.”

If Greeks Did This, The Terrible Crisis Would Be Over
By Wolf Richter: The Greeks – the poor, downtrodden, Troika-tortured Greeks – yanked €12 billion out of their own banks in January alone to send this moolah out of the country or hide it in their fridges, culminating waves of capital flight that started years ago. Greeks have been busy siphoning their wealth out of Greece in other ways too, buying homes in Berlin and London, and investing their money elsewhere in a myriad ways.
The Greeks trust their already bailed-out but still putrefying banks as far as they can throw them. To keep them from toppling, the ECB is propping them up via the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) program, providing many billions in cash so that Greeks can continue to yank their own money out and send it for safekeeping somewhere else.Greeks at all levels are notorious for not paying their taxes. Successive governments tried to levy new taxes to make up for taxes that Greeks simply refused to pay. They tried to crack down on select groups of tax cheats, going variously after the small fry or a few trophy rich. But to no avail. Greeks simply don’t like to pay their taxes. In that respect, they’re the same as the rest of humanity. They’re just better at it.

The Austrian Solution To Greece
Arnold Kling asks economists to fill in the blank:
Option A: Paul Krugman of The New York Times believes that they need a major reduction in their debt burden.
“Greece will achieve economic success when ____”There is an answer from the Austrian perspective, but first I want to highlight some thoughts from other prominent bloggers.
Option A: Paul Krugman of The New York Times believes that they need a major reduction in their debt burden.
“Two years after the Greek program began, the I.M.F. looked for historical examples where Greek-type programs, attempts to pay down debt through austerity without major debt relief or inflation, had been successful. It didn’t find any.”Option B: John Cochrane urges structural reforms:
“Advice remains, stop fooling around, massive structural reform tomorrow morning, grow like crazy, pay off debt.”Option C: Scott Sumner wants the country to build a factory that pumps out nGDP units at an ever increasing, but predictable, pace (I’m kidding, he thinks leaving the euro is likely their best bet):
An Introduction To Post-Argumentalism
By Luigi Logan (aka Fidelbogen): The accumulated wisdom of the activated non-feminist sector finds feminism to be, on balance, pernicious. The reasons for this verdict are many and have been examined elsewhere. For a start, know this: we mean to draw a line against the encroachment of feminist power into the non-feminist world. Since we find that power pernicious, we naturally find ourselves at odds with almost every aspect of it. This brings us to the topic of the moment: post-argumentalism.
Post-argumentalism is the stage “beyond argument”, the stage you enter after you deplete the possibilities of debate or persuasion in a given setting. It is a kind of existential crisis in the face of an intractable other: the other may find your stance unacceptable but you find his equally so – and there you stand! Since argument has not settled the issue and apparently never will, you are excused from such activity and may henceforth either agree to disagree with the other, or enter a state of “war” with the other.
None of this holds any great mystery. If you have ever dealt with a fanatical cultist or an incorrigibly pigheaded person of any kind, you will perfectly understand the base dynamic. And what is true of a solitary individual can as well be true of an entire group or subculture.
The intractable other that now confronts us is the subculture called feminism. As said, we find feminism pernicious – and that implies that we have already settled the debate to our own satisfaction.

How Much Does It Cost A School To Implement A Father Involvement Program? You Might Be Surprised.
By Jonathan Taylor: You may have heard of the group Dads of Great Students (D.O.G.S.), which sometimes goes by the name Watch DOGS. I covered it almost exactly a year ago. This
is a program that brings in “fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers,
uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day
a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school
principal or other administrator.” Here is a list of just a few of the
things they do:
- Reading to children in the school library or in class
- Helping students with arts and crafts
- Helping students study via flash cards and other cooperative study activities
- Engaging with and providing guidance to students during lunch or other break periods
- Assisting in loading/unloading buses
- Being a monitor in the hall and at recess
- Just being a positive part of children’s lives.
Washington Has Destroyed Trust Between Nuclear Powers, Thus Raising The Specter Of War
By Paul Craig Roberts: Ambassador Jack Matlock made an important speech at the National Press Club on February 11. Matlock served as US ambassador to the Soviet Union during 1987-91. In his speech he describes how President Reagan won the trust of the Soviet leadership in order to bring to an end the Cold War and its risk of nuclear armageddon. http://www.larouchepub.com/eiw/public/2015/2015_1-9/2015-08/pdf/10-14_4208.pdf
Reagan’s meeting with Gorbachev did not rely on position papers written by staff. It relied on a hand-written memo by Reagan himself that stressed respect for the Soviet leadership and a clear realization that negotiation must not expect the Soviet leaders to do something that is not in the true interest of their country. The way to end the conflict, Reagan wrote, is to cooperate toward a common goal. Matlock said that Reagan refused to personalize disagreements or to speak derogatorily of any Soviet leader.
Matlock makes the point that Reagan’s successors have done a thorough job of destroying this trust. In the last two years the destruction of trust has been total.
How can the Russian government trust Washington when Washington violates the word of President George H.W. Bush and takes NATO into Eastern Europe and places military bases on Russia’s border?
How can the Russian government trust Washington when Washington pulls out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and places Anti-Ballistic Missiles on Russia’s border?

As a department chair, you would think Lieberman would act as a voice of reason when her underlings collapse into anarchy over the Lone Ginger. Actually, she picked up her own torch and ran screaming all the way to the Dean of Students Dr. Micheal Sansivero, moderator of the Gerard vs. Clyne slaughter, and recent interviewer of Dr. Richard Dawkins.
Imagine Lieberman holding Stacy Keltner’s hand as Keltner blows snot into her fifth box of Kleenex, and you’ll get an idea of the show they put on for Dr. Sansivero.
Dr. Lieberman was one of the people who approached the last remaining adviser for what was then named KSU Men to pressure him to resign. She did this more than once. Before Sage was silenced by campus lawyers, his adviser came over and told Sage about Lieberman’s complaints.

Commenting to Press TV on Wednesday, Richard Forer said, if there exists a “destructive” side to the US-Israeli ties it is a “good thing because the United States and Israel have too incestuous of a relationship to begin with.”

Lithuania To Reintroduce Mandatory Military Service
By Lucian Vâlsan: VILNIUS. The
State Defense Council, comprising of the Lithuanian president, prime
minister, parliament speaker, defense minister and army chief decided
yesterday that mandatory military service ought to be reintroduced in
the tiny Baltic nation.
The measure needs to be approved by the Seimas (the Lithuanian Parliament) and if the measure passes, the first conscripts could be summoned as early as this September. Inside sources from the Lithuanian politics quoted by the local media say that the ruling party supports the idea and the measure is very likely to receive the Parliament’s approval.
One of the official motivations for this decision is that ever since Lithuania moved towards a professional army model, the army has been consistently under-staffed as not enough people volunteered for a career in the military.
President Dalia Grybauskaitė motivated her support for the measure as a reaction to the “new geopolitical circumstances” and mentioned that the measure is not permanent:

Gender Budgeting In India And Feminist Hypocrisy
By Amartya Talukdar: Feminists want us to believe that gender is a culturally and socially constructed concept which must be demolished. However they demand the implementation of what is known as gender budgeting, i.e. a budget that discriminates on the basis of gender (in this case in favor of women and girls). True equality calls for no discrimination on the part of the government when assigning resources to either sexes. Both men and women should be assigned resources on 50:50 basis.
Feminists argue that assigning resources to both men and women on 50:50 basis is against the principle of equity and hence there must be positive discrimination in favor of women when assigning resources under the national budget. They realize that the budget is the most important policy instrument of the government, because no other policy will work without money. Hence they want the government to draft gender budgets which will enable them to alter society irrevocably. They do not want women to be mothers and housewives and would rather break up the Indian family in the name of female empowerment.
The budget plays crucial role in India where most people live on government largesse in some form or other. Unfortunately successive governments of India have lent their ears to feminist propaganda and have passed gender budgets.

Watch As US Parents Are Treated Like Children For Questioning School Curriculum
By Michael Krieger: A Liberty Blitzkrieg reader who is a resident of Naples, Florida recently sent me a note highlighting a video in which he, and several other concerned parents, were reprimanded and treated like little children in a School Board Workshop as a result of them expressing concerns about school curriculum.
In order to give you some background on the issue, see the Letter to the Editor he wrote to the Naples Daily News on 1/28 to say what he was prevented from saying at the 1/20 School Board Workshop. Letter reprinted below:

Patton the cause
The controversy behind the recent parents’ review of school textbooks lays squarely at the feet of Superintendent Kamela Patton.
Specifically, Collier County School Board Policy 2240 reads, “Furthermore, the Superintendent shall prepare administrative procedures detailing the manner in which students and parents will be adequately informed, each year, regarding their right to inspect instructional materials, and the procedure for completing such an inspection.”
Why Does Maryland USA Have The Most Millionaires Per Capita? The Answer Might Make Americans Angry
By Michael Snyder: The fat cats in Washington D.C. are living the high life, and they are doing it at your expense. Over the past decade, there has been one area of the country which has experienced a massive economic boom. Thanks to wildly out of control government spending, the Washington D.C. region is absolutely swimming in cash. In fact, at this point the state of Maryland has the most millionaires per capita in the entire nation and it isn’t even close. If you have never lived there, it is hard to describe what the D.C. area is like. Every weekday morning, hordes of lawyers, lobbyists and government bureaucrats descend upon D.C. from the surrounding suburbs. And at the end of the day, the process goes in reverse. Everyone is just trying to get their piece of the pie, and it is a pie that just keeps on growing as government salaries, government contracts and government giveaways just get larger and larger. Of course our founders never intended for this to happen. They wanted a very small and simple federal government. Sadly, today we have the most bloated central government in the history of the planet and it gets worse with each passing year.
While Feminists Sling Mud, MRAs Till The Soil
By Paul Elam: While
our not-so-esteemed opponents busy themselves with exhaustive efforts
to paint us as a sinister menace; a blight on humanity, we have been
busy with a few things of our own.
As of today, A Voice for Men is now operating under the structure of two Limited Liability Companies. AVFM Operations, LLC and AVFM Education, LLC are now in place and a lot of things are about to change around here for the better.
I am going to give you a basic sketch of what is about to happen and either myself, David King, Al Martin or Dean Esmay will fill you in with other details as needed.
Some basic changes in operations are about to take place and I am writing this to give you an understanding of how and why.

LiveScience, Stop Spreading Lies!
By Lucian Vâlsan: A few days ago, LiveScience published an article titled Gendered Grammar Linked to Global Sexism by Stephanie Pappas, an article which quotes researcher Jennifer Prewitt-Freilino, a psychologist at the Rhode Island School of Design who is quoted as saying that “more and more research that is starting to come out looking at grammatical gender and language suggests that it has more of an impact than you would think.”
The problem is that the article is either ideological claptrap at best or a bigoted lie at worst. I will explain why, with quotes directly from the piece.
The article categorizes languages of the planet as being either “natural gender languages” (i.e. languages who don’t assign gender to nouns, such as Finnish or English) or “gendered languages” (i.e. languages who do assign gender to nouns, such as Spanish or French). This categorization is imperfect to say the least, but if that were the only problem with the narrative promoted by LiveScience, I wouldn’t bother writing this response.

The Police States Of America - Elderly New Jersey Man Faces 10 Years In Jail For Possession Of 18th Century Pistol
By Michael Krieger: You just can’t make this stuff up. You really can’t. Another day, another elderly American peasant pursued by a “justice” system in which real crooks receive taxpayer bailouts to pay themselves bonuses, while perfectly normal citizen behavior is criminalized.
The victim this time is a 72-year-old New Jersey man named Gordon Van Gilder, a retired school teacher, who faces 10 years in jail for possessing a unloaded antique 225-year-old flintlock pistol.
Read it and weep serfs. From Reason:

Gordon Van Gilder is a retired New Jersey school teacher and collector of 18th century memorabilia. That innocuous hobby could land the 72-year-old behind bars for the rest of his life.
Van Gilder owns an unloaded antique 225-year-old flintlock pistol, the possession of which carries a potential 10-year prison sentence and mandatory minimum sentence of three to five-and-a-half years with no chance for parole.
Revolt In Athens: Syriza Central Committee Member Says "Leadership Strategy Has Failed Miserably"
Submitted by Tyler Durden: Not everybody is ignoring that fact that just
days after the new Prime Minister promised the Greek population on prime
time TV that the loathed bailout program wouldn't be extended and that
Greece would have a fresh start - i.e., the mandate it was elected on -
one without austerity, Greece folded on virtually every demand, to the
point where the European Commission may itself have drafted the "reform agreement" that the Greek finance minister was said to have created.
One person who may be starting a splinter revolt within Syriza itself
is Stathis Kouvelakis, a member of the central committee of the leftist
organization, a teacher of political theory at King's College, and the
latest to demonstrate that the Syriza facade of cohesive acceptance of
the past week's "negotiations", is starting to crumble. From his post "The Alternative In Greece", translated by Wayne Hall, and appearing first in Jacobinmag.
The strategy of Syriza’s leadership has failed miserably. But it’s not too late to avert total defeat.
Let us begin with what should be indisputable: the Eurogroup agreement that the Greek government was dragged into on Friday amounts to a headlong retreat.
USA And UK Kangaroo Courts On Campus: ‘Martial Law Against Men’
By Dan Bell: In 2011, the US Department of Education’s assistant for civil rights, Russlynn H Ali, wrote to universities across America instructing them that they must aggressively investigate all allegations of sexual assault on campus, regardless of whether the police chose to do so.
The directive, now infamously referred to as the ‘Dear Colleague’ letter, stated that if university disciplinary procedures failed to pursue allegations of sexual assault, they would be in violation of US equality legislation and would be stripped of government funds.
The directive, fuelled by a popular panic around an alleged ‘rape culture’ on campus, triggered a proliferation of a Kafkaesque tribunals and kangaroo courts across US universities. Four years on, dozens of railroaded male students are suing their Alma Maters for breaching their constitutional right to a fair trial, and in October last year, 28 Harvard Law professors published an open letter stating that the new procedures, ‘lack the most basic elements of fairness and due process [and] are overwhelmingly stacked against the accused’.
So far, so American. Except, astonishingly, there is now a drive to impose this discredited system of parallel justice on to campuses in the UK.
