The War On Toddler Terrorists - Britain Wants To Force Nursery School Teachers To Identify “Extremist” Children
By Michael Krieger: It’s 8pm in Cambodia and time to find something to eat, but before I do, something caught my attention that I just have to share. It has to do with Great Britain’s continued insanity when it comes to it’s own version of the so-called “war on terror.” This topic will come as no surprise to regular readers, as I have previously highlighted the UK’s unique brand of Orwellianism on several occasions. Here are a couple of examples from late last year:
The UK’s Conservative Party Declares War on YouTube, Twitter, Free Speech and Common Sense
The BBC is Using Anti-Terror Surveillance to Find Tax Dodgers
In case you aren’t aware, there is something called the Counter-Terrorism and Security Bill 2014-15, currently moving through the UK Parliament. The Bill completed its committee stage in the House of Commons in mid-December, and will enter its report stage and third reading on January 6th and 7th. Accompanying this bill, which is controversial in its own right, is a 39-page consultation document that directs nursery school staff and registered childminders to “report toddlers at risk of becoming terrorists.” Think this is a joke? Think again. From the UK Telegraph:
Nursery school staff and registered childminders must report toddlers at risk of becoming terrorists, under counter-terrorism measures proposed by the Government.

Tracey Spicer: Sexist, Safe And Men Can Be Sorry
By Jim Muldoon: Perhaps you’ll remember Tracey Spicer for trying to start up a fourth wave of feminism by calling for women to wear less make-up when they go shopping. I doubt you’ll remember the fourth wave, but the level of inanity might ring a bell.
She is, of course, the same Tracey Spicer who regaled us with her letter “Dear Mr Misogynist” where she explained just how terrible sexism is.
So, you won’t be surprised when Tracey begins her latest quest for a few bucks of controversy entitled “I don’t want my kids sitting next to a man on a plane.” She begins…
The logic for her position on men, unaccompanied children and planes centres on a few unrelated, incorrect, and meaningless facts. The first is:

I know it’s sexist. You already know the next sentence starts with “But…”
The logic for her position on men, unaccompanied children and planes centres on a few unrelated, incorrect, and meaningless facts. The first is:
In 2001, Northwest Airlines paid a US family half a million dollars after a 10-year-old girl was molested by a 28-year-old man on a flight from Kansas to Detroit.Ravichandra Thuluva, was flying from Kansas to Detroit as part of his journey to his home in Bombay. He was arrested and detained for at least six months because of the girl’s complaint.
Divorced Men Are More Than Nine Times As Likely As Women To Kill Themselves
By A J Kposowa: There is accumulating evidence that divorced and separated people have much higher suicide rates than their married counterparts. In a previous paper published in this journal, it was observed that divorced and separated men were nearly 2.4 times more likely to kill themselves than their married counterparts.1 That study, however, failed to directly compare divorced men and women. While it informed us that divorced people are at higher risk of suicide than the married, it said nothing about the suicide risk of divorced men relative to divorced women. The purpose of this communication is to assess the magnitude of the differentials in suicide risk between the two groups, and explore possible reasons that might explain the disparities.
Data were obtained from the US National Longitudinal Mortality Study (NLMS), 1979–1989,2 and covariates used were taken from Kposowa.1 The response variable was the risk of suicide, and analysis was restricted to divorced and separated non-Hispanic white men and women. Proportional hazards regression models were fitted to the data, and relevant results are in table 1.
Oil Falls Below 50 As Global Financial Markets Begin To Unravel
By Michael Snyder: On Monday, the price of oil fell below $50 for the first time since April 2009, and the Dow dropped 331 points. Meanwhile, the stock market declines over in Europe were even larger on a percentage basis, and the euro sank to a fresh nine year low on concerns that the anti-austerity Syriza party will be victorious in the upcoming election in Greece. These are precisely the kinds of things that we would expect to see happen if a global financial crash was coming in 2015. Just prior to the financial crisis of 2008, the price of oil collapsed, prices for industrial commodities got crushed and the U.S. dollar soared relative to other currencies. All of those things are happening again. And yet somehow many analysts are still convinced that things will be different this time. And I agree that things will indeed be “different” this time. When this crisis fully erupts, it will make 2008 look like a Sunday picnic.
Another thing that usually happens when financial markets begin to unravel is that they get really choppy. There are big ups and big downs, and that is exactly what we have witnessed since October.
So don’t expect the markets just to go in one direction. In fact, it would not be a surprise if the Dow went up by 300 or 400 points tomorrow. During the initial stages of a financial crash, there are always certain days when the markets absolutely soar.
For example, did you know that the three largest single day stock market advances in history were right in the middle of the financial crash of 2008? Here are the dates and the amount the Dow rose each of those days…

Feminism, White Girls And Sex Scandals
And The World Was Split In Twain
Magic once flowed freely across the land… Ruled by a Covenant that gave both sides equal power, but in the quest to gain more, the Covenant was broken. Man survived only the dedication of a handful of people, and the world was split in twain.
By Jeff Thomas: In 1991, the Cold War between the US and the USSR ended, as, economically, the USSR had run its course. Since that time, the US has had the ability to back off on armaments and to strengthen itself economically, to become even more powerful as the world’s present empire.
But, of course, that’s not what they did. Instead, they went headlong in the direction of becoming a more highly armed, more fascist state. Along the way, they became extremely reckless with their economy, following a Keynesian model that contributed to the greatest debt bubble the world has ever seen.
During this period, they had numerous knowledgeable advisors who recommended a Westphalian system of cooperation between nations. But the leaders of the empire chose instead to pursue greater, more forceful dominance of the world. Over recent decades, US leaders have become increasingly self-possessed with their assumed level of power. So much so that, as long as they can sell the idea to the American people that the larger world is a threat to the US, they can advance as they please against other nations.

Bangladesh, Aid, Feminism, & Radical Islam
By Amartya Talukdar: Bangladesh
is one of the poorest and densely populated Muslim-majority countries
in Southeast Asia. And radical feminism is helping fuel the growth of
Radical Islam there. Many home grown radical feminists such as Taslima Nasreen
talk of Bangladeshi Muslim women’s victimization by religion,
especially Islamic laws. But the irony is that they do not talk about
real issues that face Bangladeshi women.
One of the largest Industries of Bangladesh is the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry. RMG involves moving fashion trends from the catwalk to the consumer rapidly and at a low cost in order to prompt increased sales. To compete globally, some of the best-known global garment brands and sports bands get their garments and sports goods manufactured in Bangladesh.
The RMG industry is the backbone of the Bangladesh economy. RMG currently represents 30% of Bangladesh’s industrial GPD (and 80% export earning), of which 85% of the labour is provided by women.
Women work for extremely long hours, in sweat shops, for pittance. They are denied leave or Maternity benefits. Yet for some strange reasons feminist are silent about this exploitation (1) . Many of them actually sing eulogies about the garment industry as liberators of women.
To facilitate exploitation of Bangladeshi labour, capitalism has found a new bed mate in Feminism (2).

Palestine Formally Recognizes ICC Jurisdiction
The International Criminal Court says Palestinian officials have formally recognized the court's jurisdiction.
Press TV: Herman von Herbel, who serves as ICC registrar, confirmed Monday that the body has received documents by Palestine declaring its acceptance of the body’s jurisdiction. This paves the way for the court’s investigation of JSIL (Israeli) crimes committed during the recent war on Gaza.
However, the move differs from accession to the Court's founding treaty and Palestine has yet to trigger an automatic investigation into JSIL crimes.
When Palestine accedes to the Rome Statute, The Hague-based court would be able to prosecute JSIL officials for crimes they have committed over the past months in Gaza and the West Bank.
The ICC started its work in early-July 2002, when the Rome Statute entered into force as the foundational and governing document. Currently, there are 122 states, which are party to the Rome Statute and thus members of the ICC.
The United States and Israel, along with Sudan, have said that they no longer intend to become states parties and, therefore, have no legal obligations arising from their former representatives' signature of the Statute.
