Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Publicly Tells Citizens To “Act More Like Sheep”

Hong Kong’s unpopular chief executive has infuriated pro-democracy campaigners by using a Chinese New Year message to urge the former colony’s citizens to act more “like sheep”.
“In the coming year, I hope that all people in Hong Kong will take inspiration from the sheep’s character and pull together in an accommodating manner to work for Hong Kong’s future.”
In case his message had been missed, Mr Leung noted that the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac had 12 individual “character types”. “Sheep are widely seen to be mild and gentle animals living peacefully in groups,” he said.
– From the Telegraph article: Hong Kong leader tells people to act like ‘sheep’
By Michael Krieger: This is simply a spectacular admission from a clueless authoritarian. No wonder things are so volatile in Hong Kong with this clown in charge. Rather than quieting the mood, CY Leung’s comments are more likely to infuriate the island’s youth and strength their resolve. Not smart.

Yes All Feminists Are Like That

By There are two kinds of feminists; The “Not All Feminists” and “No True Feminists.”   The “Not All Feminist” kind of feminism, when shown feminist bigotry against men, will immediately excuse feminist bigotry by saying “Not All Feminists Are Like That!” (NAFALT).  The NAFALT style feminists are more likely new to feminism.  NAFALT cedes the point that there hateful feminist bigots.  What’s more, it almost implies that the overwhelming majority of feminists are hateful bigots.

The “No True Feminist” will, with a fury of handwaving, dismiss your example of feminist bigotry as “Not a True Feminist”.  A “No True Feminist” will then tell you that  you don’t know about “True Feminism” and proceed to educate you that “True Feminism Is About Equality.”  The script continues, “…That’s all that Feminism means, Equality.  If you believe in equality, you’re a feminist.”    The conflation of feminist bigotry with equality is the trademark of a “No True Feminist”.  The “No True Feminist” is ever oblivious to the fact that equality existed long before feminism and nearly everyone on the planet believes in equality.

Creepy, Calculating And Controlling: All The Ways Big Brother Is Watching You

“You had to live - did live, from habit that became instinct - in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.”—George Orwell, 1984

By John W. Whitehead: None of us are perfect. All of us bend the rules occasionally. Even before the age of overcriminalization, when the most upstanding citizen could be counted on to break at least three laws a day without knowing it, most of us have knowingly flouted the law from time to time.
Indeed, there was a time when most Americans thought nothing of driving a few miles over the speed limit, pausing (rather than coming to a full stop) at a red light when making a right-hand turn if no one was around, jaywalking across the street, and letting their kid play hookie from school once in a while. Of course, that was before the era of speed cameras that ticket you for going even a mile over the posted limit, red light cameras that fine you for making safe “rolling stop” right-hand turns on red, surveillance cameras equipped with facial recognition software mounted on street corners, and school truancy laws that fine parents for “unexcused” absences.
My, how times have changed.

The Rooshing Of AVFM?

By We currently have part one of an interview with RooshV done by Mumia Ali. I have already stumbled on “some internet guy” on Reddit having a cow over the article for allowing someone like Roosh a platform here – because Roosh has talked a lot of smack about MRAs. I personally don’t see a problem. He is a notable person in the world of modern men, and by the way I have taken more than a couple of shots at him myself. I figure it only appropriate and fair to let him have this temporary unabridged platform here. I am thankful to him and to Ali for making it happen.
It also gives me the opportunity to say again (minus the internet pissing match stuff) why I find so little merit in the concept of PUA and why I see little benefit in it for most men.
I will keep it short. The fact is that every problem I have ever had with women goes back to my gynocentric mistakes, the primary among them the abandonment of my values for the sake of sex and/or “acceptance.”
The minute I figured out that my problem was not having a set of personal values strongly enough held that no woman could make me budge from them was the same minute I found a path to attract women, cull out the trash without drama or expense and to maintain a relationship with no pussy passes or princess bullshit. It is not that I never have to deal with that stuff from time to time, but I never, ever let it slide. My dick has not been the worse for it.

"The Great Game Of Poker Over The Future of The Euro" Nigel Farage

"There is a great game of poker taking place for the future of this currency," Nigel Farage exclaims as he  deservedly takes a small victory lap over his warnings of the anti-democratic nature of the dis-union that has been created. As his warnings that "the EU will crush, and kill, and destroy nation state democracy," have gone unheeded, this last week has seen The Eurogroup's behavior justify everything Farage has feared... Juncker: "there can be no democratic choice against the Euro." ..."I hope the Greeks stand firm whatever the consequences, if they do the free world will applaud them."

Chief Political Commentator of The Telegraph Resigns Over HSBC Coverage – Calls it “A Fraud on its Readers”

The Telegraph’s recent coverage of HSBC amounts to a form of fraud on its readers. It has been placing what it perceives to be the interests of a major international bank above its duty to bring the news to Telegraph readers. There is only one word to describe this situation: terrible.
A free press is essential to a healthy democracy. There is a purpose to journalism, and it is not just to entertain. It is not to pander to political power, big corporations and rich men. Newspapers have what amounts in the end to a constitutional duty to tell their readers the truth.
- Peter Oborne, in his article: Why I have resigned from the Telegraph
By Michael Krieger: Anyone reading this website understands that most of the mainstream media has been transformed into little more than complete propaganda over the past several decades. When the various papers and televisions stations aren’t covering up for the war crimes and corruption of politicians and intelligence agencies, they are busy protecting their corporate advertisers from any potential criticism. This isn’t just speculation anymore.
