Stop Using Millenary Religions As A Scapegoat For The Crimes Of Modern Imperialism
But if they incline to peace, you (also) incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. — The Noble Qur’an, Al-Anfal, 8.61
Jihad - The most excellent Jihad is that for the conquest of self. The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr. – Sayings of the Prophet
By Kim Petersen: Respected writer William Blum understands US hegemony and imperialism on a global scale. In his important book Rogue State, he provided a comprehensive account of US imperialism around the world.
Recently, Blum wrote a trenchant article that compellingly ridiculed the nonsense that Donald Trump is a greater evil than Barack Obama. Blum tore the veneer off the Democratic Party and corporate media’s hypocritical demonization of Trump. As a clincher, Blum finishes his piece with sarcasm: “And if you like Barack Obama you’ll love Hillary Clinton.”
Trump, Obama, and Clinton are three evils. Of the three, Trump is the lesser evil. What is important is that come election time, the ballot is not confined to a lesser-evilist choice. The Green Party’s Jill Stein is not evil.
In the otherwise excellent piece by Blum appears a paragraph that I find superficial, void of historical validity, and above all, it seems to be repeating indoctrinating patterns typical of Islamophobia:

Damseling, Chivalry And Courtly Love (Part Two)
By Peter Wright: The following article is the second of a two-part series. Part one looked at the roots of damseling, chivalry and courtly love in the gynocentric tradition. In this part two we look at damseling, chivalry and courtly love as it appears in modern feminist activism. – PW
The three elements of gynocentrism first born in medieval Europe continue to act as the basis of modern feminism. Indeed feminism today is little more, and little less, than a perpetuation of this medieval triad, giving feminism its internal drive even as feminists disavow these essentials with rhetorical obfuscations.
With this charge in mind let’s revisit the holy trinity above with a focus on behaviors central to modern feminism.

FEMINISM
Before being given the name feminism, the obsession with women’s status was referred to as the Querelle des Femmes or quarrel about women. The querelle consisted of a perpetual social movement that used damseling to call for more courtly love, and more chivalry, which ultimately gave women more power. The three elements of gynocentrism first born in medieval Europe continue to act as the basis of modern feminism. 'Wolf-Whistling A Hate Crime? What An Insult To Real Victims Of Abuse.’
By Belinda Brown: Striding
down the avenues and boulevards of Paris in my early 20s, I regularly
found myself receiving verbal advances from men. Working as a model in
that cosmopolitan city I suppose it wasn’t surprising that I attracted
attention from the opposite sex, whether it was wolf whistles or
appreciative comments.
Sometimes
I found it flattering, sometimes - like the man who groped me in when I
was travelling on the Metro - the attention was most definitely
unwanted.
But did it ever occur to me to call the police? Of course not.
This
was normal social intercourse and if I felt the men were a nuisance I
had the nous tell them to get lost, often in their native language. And I
can promise you they all did. Without exception. Even the man on the
underground. After I’d whacked him with my handbag and told him loudly
to get lost, he did just that. While his behaviour was odious, it was
not beyond my wit to deal with it. I certainly didn’t consider it
necessary to call in the authorities.
And
yet, according to one British police force, because I’d been singled
out on account of my sex, that’s exactly what I should have done on all
of these occasions.
Military Coup Defeated By The People
By Gilad Atzmon: Many of my friends do not like Erdogan and his regime. Some of my Turkish peers who are artists and intellectuals see the Erdogan regime as dictatorial. They complain that their elementary rights have been compromised. I understand their plight. Many of my western colleagues who comment on Turkey also do not like Erdogan. They criticize Erdogan's approach to Syria and Asad, and they do not like Erdogan's aggression toward Russia or his dealings with Israel.
Yet, despite the general condemnation of Erdogan within intellectual and artistic circles, the Turkish president is extremely popular in Turkey. Earlier today, the Turkish people heeded their President’s webcam call to take to the streets and defeat a well-orchestrated military coup.
This spectacular development demands our attention.
What is it about the Turks? These heroic Turks who just defeated an army with their bare hands, are they exemplars of Adorno’s description of Authoritarian Personality ? (Defined as a state of mind characterized by absolute obedience to authority.) Is it appropriate to follow Adorno's Jewish supremacist attitude toward popular movements? Or is it possible that the masses who yesterday saved Turkey see their government and their president as a continuation of their true selves?
