Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: A Letter To The US President

Iran's former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad voiced strong support for Trump's uncompromising stand against Washington's "corrupt" political structure and media.
By Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
To: His Excellency, Mr. Donald John Trump The president of the United States of America Greetings, Your Excellency has been elected, in the recent US election, as the president of the country.

It can be inferred from the political and media atmosphere in the US that the result of the election has been despite the status quo, and beyond the will and prediction of the governing body and the main system behind the scene of the US political stage. The stances of the rival party and some of your party members and most western leaders suggest the same notion. Irrespective of whether or not that is true, the recent election revealed part of the actual and accumulated demands of the US people.

UK Parliament’s Equality Campaigners Are Hopelessly Detached From Reality

By Philip Davies: There can be no bigger Westminster bubble than the one which surrounds the Women and Equalities Select Committee – which must be more detached from the everyday concerns of the public than any other area of Parliamentary life.
To illustrate the point, we have just completed our inquiry into UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality.
I think it is fair to say that I have never had a constituent raise this with me – maybe Shipley is very different to the rest of the UK in this regard but somehow I doubt it. Not that this deters our intrepid committee.
In our last evidence session, we had two competent and enthusiastic Government Ministers before us – Lord Bates, Home Office Minister, and Equalities Minister Caroline Dinenage.
It is sometimes difficult to take these sessions seriously. The first question to Lord Bates was to ask how high up the list of Government priorities is Sustainable Development Goal 5.
His response astounded me – and how he kept a straight face I will never know! He said in reply: “It is very high up the Government’s list of priorities”. Honestly, he did.

Orbach Takes The Biscuit - She Makes Women Fat Or Emaciated

By Kathy Gyngell: ‘Fat is a feminist issue’, Susie Orbach famously claimed back in 1978, starting the quite bonkers orthodoxy that gender inequality, rather than eating too much, is what makes women fat.
"For many women, compulsive eating and being fat have become one way to avoid being marketed or seen as the ideal woman," she wrote." "Fat expresses a rebellion against the powerlessness of the woman." Does it?
How many wouldn’t have just loved to be that ideal woman had the good fairy locked the larder door for her? The ever-gullible great and the good swallowed her theory along with their grub. They still do.
Try Googling 'critiques of fat is a feminist issue’. What do you find? None. Orbach’s view that our 'sexist society demeans women by objectifying their bodies remains the accepted explanation for every eating disorder or self-harm that’s erupted since. Anorexia nervosa figures have conveniently bolstered this myth.
Eating disorders (not including its twin sisters of depression and self-harm) according to NICE, affect some 750,000 people. Only 11 per cent of them are chaps. The numbers have been rising - since 2000 by 15 per cent. Ms Orbach’s psychotherapy practice must be bursting at the seams.

The Resurrection Of Armageddon

“The U.S. intelligence community’s extraordinary campaign of leaks claiming improper ties between President Trump’s team and Russia seeks to ensure a lucrative New Cold War by blocking detente.” — Gareth Porter
By Paul Craig Roberts: It only required 24 days for the Deep State to castrate President Donald Trump and terminate the promise that the high tensions with Russia created during the Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes would be terminated by Trump’s presidency.
As Gareth Porter shows conclusively (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/46546.htm), the case against General Flynn, Trump’s 24-day National Security Adviser, and by implication against Trump himself, is a fake news creation.

Obama’s CIA director, John Brennan, planted fake reports, none of which contained any evidence whatsoever, on the CIA-compliant media whores known as “presstitutes.” The CIA’s media whores knew that the reports were a CIA response to the threat to the $1,000 billion annual budget of the military/security complex that desperately needs “the Russian threat” for its justification. But the media whores—-principally the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC—-and all the rest as well are more dedicated to serving their CIA master than they are to serving peace between nuclear powers. Interesting, isn’t it, that the US and Western media are more committed to conflict with Russia than they are to peace, despite the brutal fact that 10 percent of the nuclear arsenal of either the US or Russia is sufficient to terminate all life on earth.

US Minimum Wage Massacre: Wendy's Unleashes 1,000 Robots To Counter Higher Labor Costs

By Tyler Durden: In yet another awkwardly rational response to government intervention in deciding what's "fair", the blowback from minimum wage demanding fast food workers has struck again. Wendy's plans to install self-ordering kiosks in 1,000 of its stores - 16% of its locations nationwide.

"Last year was tough — 5 percent wage inflation," said Bob Wright, Wendy's chief operating officer, during his presentation to investors and analysts last week. He added that the company expects wages to rise 4 percent in 2017. "But the real question is what are we doing about it?"

Wright noted that over the past two years, Wendy's has figured out how to eliminate 31 hours of labor per week from its restaurants and is now working to use technology, such as kiosks, to increase efficiency.

Protest Is Increasingly Becoming Criminalized In America

By Michael Krieger: The historical space available for Americans to engage in public protest has been declining for many years, and is a topic I covered on several occasions during the Obama administration. For instance in the post,  The War on Free Speech – U.S. Department of Justice Subpoenas Reason.com Over Comment Section, I noted:

Readers will be well aware of the gradual erosion by the state of the civil liberties of the American public. Such attacks are typically sufficiently under the radar, so that the average citizen has no idea what is happening until it’s too late. I have written about such calculated assaults on many occasions, but the holy grail target of the status quo is the First Amendment of the Constitution, which enshrines a right to the freedom of religion, speech, the press, and the right to peaceably assemble and petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Many aspects of the First Amendment have been neutered in practice. For example, the right to assemble peacefully and effectively is often prevented in practice by the need to secure permits and other hindrances (see “free speech cages” and “protest zones”) . Meanwhile, on college campuses, where activism is historically most vibrant, many schools have embraced the Orwellian concept of “free speech zones” in order to prevent free speech.

Former IMF Chief Sent To Jail As Spain Prosecutes 65 Elite Banksters In Enormous Corruption Scandal

By Matt Agorist: In many other countries, excluding the United States, corrupt bankers are often brought to task by their respective governments. The most recent example of a corrupt banker being held accountable comes out of Spain, in which the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Rodrigo Rato was sentenced to four years and six months behind bars.
According to the AFP, Spain’s National Court, which deals with corruption and financial crime cases, said he had been found guilty of embezzlement when he headed up Caja Madrid and Bankia, at a time when both groups were having difficulties.
Rato, who is tied to a slew of other allegations was convicted and sentenced for misusing €12m between 2003 and 2012 — sometimes splashing out at the height of Spain’s economic crisis, according to the AFP.
The people of Spain were outraged over the scandal as it was discovered during the height of a severe financial crisis in which banks were receiving millions in taxpayer dollars. Bankia was eventually nationalized and given 22 billion in public money.

Coercion And The Politics Of Inclusion

By : I’ve long been amazed by the willingness of the Australian media to buy into using the crazy terminology for the gay community, LGBTIQ or “alphabet soup” as some call it. It is nonsense to suggest the ever-growing Rainbow Coalition is a unified group, lobbying for cohesive, recognised goals. The reality is that the various factions are at each other’s throats, as was painfully obvious at an Ethics Centre debate held last year.
I’ve just published an article in The Spectator Australia about the coercive politics of inclusion which underpins what’s happening here. I’ll include my article below, for those who can’t access it online.
But I particularly want to draw attention to the excellent article by Dr John Whitehall, which I mention in my story. Whitehall, who is professor of paediatrics at the University of Western Sydney, is bravely speaking out about what he calls an “intrusion into the minds and bodies of children” which is leading to a “fashion in child surgical abuse.” He draws attention to new laws currently being introduced in Victoria which discourage doctors from simply monitoring children to allow them to grow out of any gender confusion (which most would do, if left alone.) The new laws bully doctors into intervention – even though there is no good evidence that this is helpful with the majority of such children.

Hysminias Loving Hysmine Spurred Her Mother To Violence

After Hysmine sexually harassed Hysminias, he dreamed of having sex with her. His dream included a nightmare, every man’s nightmare, but with a distinctive signifier. While amorously entangled with her:

the girl’s mother arrives and, grasping the girl by the hair, drags her off like loot from war-spoils, yelling vituperations and slapping her. I was absolutely thunderstruck, as though I had been blasted by lightening. But that most aggressive of the dreams did not let me remain senseless and turned Panthia’s {her mother’s} tongue into a Tyrrhenian trumpet {a war trumpet} which brayed out against me and she cursed my herald’s wand.
Few men have that particular long, hard tool.

Welcome Aboard... But First Marshals Will Scan Your Retina

: For some 15 years, airport security has become steadily more invasive. There are ever more checkpoints, ever more requests for documents as you make your way from the airport entrance to the airplane. Passengers adapt to the new changes as they come. But my latest flight to Mexico, originating in Atlanta, presented all passengers with something I had never seen before.
We had already been through boarding pass checks, passport checks, scanners, and pat downs. At the gate, each passenger had already had their tickets scanned and we were all walking on the jet bridge to board. It’s at this point that most people assume that it is all done: finally we can enjoy some sense of normalcy.
This time was different. Halfway down the jetbridge, there was a new layer of security. Two US Marshals, heavily armed and dressed in dystopian-style black regalia, stood next to an upright machine with a glowing green eye. Every passenger, one by one, was told to step on a mat and look into the green scanner. It was scanning our eyes and matching that scan with the passport, which was also scanned (yet again).
Like everyone else, I complied. What was my choice? I guess I could have turned back at the point, decline to take the flight I had paid for, but it would be unclear what would then happen. After standing there for perhaps 8 seconds, the machine gave the go signal and I boarded.

Zionist Report: Whatever qualms American Jews have with President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence sought to ease them Friday night. - Speaking in Las Vegas to members of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), Pence said there needs to be a strong United States-Israel relationship; he emphasized support for the Jewish community at a time when anti-Semitic crimes are on the rise, and he reiterated the Trump administration’s commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. If the world knows nothing else, it will know this,” Pence said, addressing a crowd of approximately 500 people, America stands with Israel.”

Shameful Anti-Men Bigotry In Study Of Honor-Based Killings

Study of honor-based killings and abuse is replicating the shameful anti-men bigotry prevalent in discussions of domestic violence and rape. Honor killings make for sensational stories of sex and violence. Those stories are powerful weapons for demonizing men, promoting brutal suspension of civilized due process of law, and expanding the number of persons forceful held behind bars. That treatment of honor killings completely fails to provide an inspiring, alternate model of honor, decency, and humane tolerance.
A recent, book-length study of honor killings in Germany provides a rare window into the extent of anti-men bigotry in the treatment of honor killings. The study explained:

We define honour killings as intentionally committed or attempted homicides that are carried out predominantly by males against females in the context of patriarchal families or societies in order to restore, from the perspective of the perpetrator, their family’s or personal honour. [1]

The Real Gender Gap Is Not About Women’s Pay But Boys’ Lack Of Attainment

By Mike Buchanan: An interesting editorial in the current edition of The Spectator. The paper wouldn’t have published such a piece even a year ago.
There are, however, flaws in the article, including the lazy acceptance of the feminist narrative that the gender pay gap above 40 is ‘a problem to be solved’, rather than a reflection of men’s and women’s choices. An extract:

A select committee that champions equality ought to be concerned about this growing disparity in educational attainment. What is it about our schools which is failing to engage boys, and how can it be corrected?
There are at least two contributory answers to the first question – the feminization of the teaching profession, and the replacement of the ‘O’ level system by GCSEs in 1987/8, as reported by William Collins – here. How can the problem be corrected? By returning to assessment by examinations – Collins’s article demonstrates that, contrary to popular opinion, girls were not disadvantaged by this – and the appointment of far more male teachers, from primary school onwards.

Digenis Akritis Shows Byzantine Matriarchy Devaluing Men’s Lives

: Most men deeply love their mothers. Most mothers deeply love their sons. Unfortunately, the mother-son relationship tends to support oppressive gynocentrism. The preeminent power of a mother over her son is evident in the eleventh-century Latin romance Ruodlieb. A mother’s power also appears in the Grottaferrata version of the tenth-century Byzantine epic Digenis Akritis.[1] The latter has particularly enduring value for helping women and men to recognize still-common, damaging patterns in the mother-son relationship.
Digenis Akritis tells the story of Basil Digenis Akritis. He’s a strong, independent man of action who realistically lives out his love for women in challenging, culturally diverse circumstances of gynocentrism. This epic is set on frontiers between the Byzantine and Islamic empires about the tenth century GC. Digenis’s father, an unnamed Islamic emir, became a Christian to marry Digenis’s Christian Byzantine mother. The name Digenis Akritis means literally frontiersman of double descent. That double descent involves a man making a wrenching change to conform to his beloved woman’s society.
In Christian understanding, the savior of the world Jesus Christ is born of a woman without the labor of a man. The prologue of Digenis Akritis immediately evokes Christian worldly gynocentrism:

The United States Of Permanent War

By Edward Hunt: As the foreign policy establishment continues to grapple with the consequences of Trump’s election, U.S. officials can still agree on one thing. The United States is a nation that is waging a permanent war.
In December 2016, President Obama reflected on the development in a speech that he delivered to U.S. soldiers at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. “By the time I took office, the United States had been at war for seven years,” Obama said. By continuing that war, “I will become the first president of the United States to serve two full terms during a time of war.”
Notably, Obama did not issue his remarks to criticize the United States. He only made his point to note that Congress had never provided him with authority to perpetuate the wars of the Bush administration. “Right now, we are waging war under authorities provided by Congress over 15 years ago—15 years ago,” Obama said. Consequently, he wanted Congress to craft new legislation that made it appear as if it had not permitted the United States to remain at war forever.

The Trump-Netanyahu Circus

Now, No One Can Save Israel from Itself
By Ramzy Baroud: The President of the United States can hardly be taken seriously, saying much but doing little. His words, often offensive, carry no substance, and it is impossible to summarize his complex political outlook about important issues.
This is precisely the type of American presidency that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prefers.
However, Donald Trump is not just a raving man, but a dangerous one as well. His unpredictability must worry Israel, which expects from its American benefactors complete clarity and consistency in terms of its political support.
At the age of 70, Trump is incapable of being the stalwart, pro-Zionist ideologue in a way that suits Israeli interests well.
Take, for example, the White House press conference following the much anticipated visit by Netanyahu to Washington on 15 February.
The visit was scheduled immediately after Trump’s inauguration on 20 January and is considered the Trump Presidency’s answer to what Israel wrongly perceives as a hostile US administration under former President Barack Obama.

Invisible Dead Men

By William Collins, aka MRA-UK:
Men Killed by Their Partners
The thrust of this post is putting names, and case histories, to the statistics of men killed by their partners. You can skip straight to that, below, if you wish (see the list of 78 names, here or below, or jump to the case histories). However, my motivation for addressing this topic is the ratification of the Istanbul Convention, which, as I write, has just passed its 3rd reading in the House of Commons. More of that shortly. Here I attempt to shine a light on, not just the numbers, but the names and case histories of men’s deaths at the hands of their partners.
In doing this I am acutely aware of apparently committing the same sin as those whom I criticise, namely identity politics. One goes wrong as soon as one speaks of “men” as an undifferentiated slab of people. The male MPs who vote in favour of the Istanbul Convention are hardly to be identified with the dead men discussed below. The correct perspective on these matters is to refer only to “people”. But what is one to do when attempting to redress the gross imbalance which now exists? Let me emphasise, then, that the concentration on male victimisation herein is not intended to hide or minimise female victimisation. But the latter is already very well represented. And no one is attempting to gain political leverage by denying it.

Feminism Worships At The Altar Of The Single Mother

By Georgia Leigha Leatherdale-Gilholy: Every decade since the Second World War - corresponding with the progress of Western feminism - women have got unhappier, divorce rates have increased almost exponentially, and children are now more likely to have a smartphone than a dad at home. Correlation does not always equal causation, but when mainstream feminism promotes the ideology of female irresponsibility in the guise of some superior morality, it is hardly remarkable that such tragedies have come to pass. Feminism has gone far beyond the bounds of its dictionary definition, and has redefined itself as a profane, jealous stream of far-leftism, that not only preaches misinformation, but feeds something even more sinister. The first victim of this philosophy has been motherhood.

US Soda Tax Leads To 30-50% Plunge In Sales, Mass Layoffs

When Philadelphia became the first US city to pass a soda tax last summer, city officials were eagerly looking forward to the surplus-tax funded windfall to plug gaping budget deficits (and, since this is Philadelphia, the occasional embezzlement scheme). Then, one month ago, after the tax went into effect on January 1st we showed the tax applied in practice: a receipt for a 10 pack of flavored water carried a 51% beverage tax. And since  PA has a sales tax of 6% and Philly already charges another 2%, the total sales tax was 8%. In other words, a purchase which until last year came to $6.47 had overnight become $9.75.
What happened next? Precisely what most expected would happen: full blown sticker shock, and a collapse in purchases.
According to Philly.com reports, two months into the city’s sweetened-beverage tax, supermarkets and distributors are reporting a 30% to 50% drop in beverage sales and - adding insult to injury - are now planning for layoffs.
One of the city's largest distributors told the Philadelphia website it would cut 20% of its workforce in March, and an owner of six ShopRite stores in Philadelphia says he expects to shed 300 workers this spring. “People are seeing sales decline larger than anything they’ve seen up to this point in the city,” said Alex Baloga, vice president of external relations at the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association.
Since all of this is taking place as previewed in a recent post: "The 'Soda Police' Just Learned A Valuable Lesson About Taxes", we doubt it would come as a surprise to anyone, although we are confident that Philadelphia city workers will be amazed by these unexpected developments.
Sure enough, in response instead of admitting the tax was a bad decision, the city lashed out by launching the latest "fake news" campaign, when it questioned the legitimacy of the early figures and predicted that customers responding to the initial sticker shock by shopping outside the city would return.

How The Corporate Media Continues To Use The Russia Scapegoat As A Distraction From Status Quo Failure

By Michael Krieger: Countless observers have noted the obvious fact that the corporate media’s all-encompassing obsession with anti-Russia hysteria is partly just a shameless campaign to prevent change within the Democratic Party by blaming its loss on an outside enemy as opposed to the oligarch-coddling, corrupt disaster it nominated. While true, the strategy is far bigger than that. So called Western elites have failed miserably across the globe, and the only way to retain their undeserved positions of power (many should be in jail), is to create and promote a mindless, highly emotional, non-domenstic distraction. Enter Russia.
Ken Wilber perfectly articulated the failure of our discredited status quo in his recent ebook, which I quoted extensively from in my recent post, How a Breakdown in Liberal Ideology Created Trump – Part 1. He noted:
The problem very quickly became what Integral Metatheory calls a “legitimation crisis,” which it defines as a mismatch between Lower-Left (or cultural) beliefs and the Lower-Right systems (or actual background realities, such as the techno-economic base).

New South Wales Makes ‘Major Shift’ To School Curriculum

Professor Michelle Simmons, Australian Quantum Physicist, Attacks Attempts To FeminiseThe Teaching Of Physics
BBC: Australia's most populous state will focus on better preparing students for university and employment in a major overhaul of its school curriculum.
New South Wales on Tuesday unveiled changes to its high school syllabus for the first time in 18 years.
The new focus eschews "social context" teaching - which had drawn criticism - for more in-depth, critical thinking.
It comes after an international study in December showed Australia's maths and science ranking had tumbled.
The changes address recent criticism over a lack of rigour, said Tom Alegounarias, the head of the state's Education Standards Authority.
"We reviewed the whole [syllabus], we looked at what the community is demanding for now and in the future," Mr Alegounarias told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
"The major shift is towards greater depth, rigour, and mastery of content learning."

Recent criticism

One of Australia's leading scientists, quantum physicist Michelle Simmons, recently attacked what she called attempts to "feminise" the teaching of physics.
