Why Not A Probe Of ‘Israel-Gate’?

Special Report: As Official Washington fumes about Russia-gate, Israel’s far more significant political-influence-and-propaganda campaigns are ignored. No one dares suggest a probe of Israel-gate.
By Robert Parry: The other day, I asked a longtime Democratic Party insider who is working on the Russia-gate investigation which country interfered more in U.S. politics, Russia or Israel. Without a moment’s hesitation, he replied, “Israel, of course.”

Which underscores my concern about the hysteria raging across Official Washington about “Russian meddling” in the 2016 presidential campaign: There is no proportionality applied to the question of foreign interference in U.S. politics. If there were, we would have a far more substantive investigation of Israel-gate.

This topic provoked some serious thought about not only how I see myself, as I’m connected and a part of both movements to different degrees, but also both communities in their entirety, especially within the context of Australia although I hope the same can be said worldwide.
First (and I need to tread carefully here), I was brought to both movements from a place of sheer disbelief and pain at the way I was treated personally. I never wanted the Red Pill. I say this with absolute conviction. I would have been quite content being in the horrible situation I was in prior to all this. One day I hope I am free to write in full about the situation, however a lot can be inferred by the issues most important to me.
Six months on, my life has taken a completely new direction. One I never foresaw, which is ultimately far more fulfilling than I had thought possible when my journey started. My passion, energy and activism have all led me toward the path I now walk.

Sure, it’s easy to advocate foreign wars when you don’t have to fight them. Old men don’t fight wars, but some of them fought when they were younger. Some shudder at the memory of it and wouldn’t wish it on anyone else; others say something to the effect of, “I did my part, now it’s your turn, young man. I’m not asking you to do anything I didn’t do myself.”

Diana’s subsequent death catalysed an incontinence of grief that Oliver James identified in Britain On The Couch and which he blamed on our consumer oriented but spiritually bereft society. In the intervening years public vigils, candle lighting and group hugs have come to be the compulsory communal response to death and terrorist attack alike.
Now 20 years on, Prince Harry has chosen to tell the nation that the couch is the answer to the mental health problems we are told half of us suffer from. He adjures us to think more, not less, about ourselves. He felt so much better after therapy, so we should all be at it. The pearl of wisdom His Royal Highness has to offer is that sharing our feelings will solve misery and mend mental ill health to boot.
