Putin: Trump On TV Is "Very Different From The Real Trump"
By Tyler Durden: Following President Trump's earlier comments that his "meeting with Putin was trememndous," the Russian President set an optimistic tone for future US relations, remarking that the Donald Trump seen on television is different from the one in real life, adding that "as for personal relations, I think that they are established."
In his 25 minute press conference, Putin carefully touched on all the talking-point 'tape-bomb gotchas' expressing hope for Syria, explaining his views on the Russia-meddling accusations, and cycbersecurity.
The Hill reports that Putin reiterated that there is no reason to believe that Russia meddled in the US electoral process in 2016, and made it clear that he feels the president believes him...

You Want A Picture Of The Future? Imagine A Boot Stamping On Your Face - Forever!
“The Internet is watching us now. If they
want to. They can see what sites you visit. In the future, television will be
watching us, and customizing itself to what it knows about us. The thrilling
thing is, that will make us feel we’re part of the medium. The scary
thing is, we’ll lose our right to privacy. An ad will appear in
the air around us, talking directly to us.”

Report
By John W. Whitehead: We have arrived, way ahead of schedule, into the dystopian future
dreamed up by such science fiction writers as George Orwell, Aldous Huxley,
Margaret Atwood and Philip K. Dick.
Much like Orwell’s Big Brother in 1984,
the government and its corporate spies now watch our every move.
Much like Huxley’s A Brave New
World, we are churning out a society of watchers who “have their
liberties taken away from them, but … rather enjoy it, because they [are]
distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing.”
The Saudi-Israeli Alliance Of Terror
Riyadh is in a hurry to ‘legitimize’ its burgeoning relationship with Israel, and silence all critics
By Abdel Bari Atwan: The evolving relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia is set to become a key feature of regional politics in the forthcoming phase. This goes beyond the creeping normalization of relations between the two sides and the holding of discreet contacts, to the formation of an undeclared but far-reaching alliance.
Retired Saudi general Anwar al-Eshki shed some light on this in an interview last week on the German TV channel Deutsche Welle, in which he provided insights into a number of unexplained issues: most importantly, why Saudi Arabia has been so adamant about getting the Red Sea islands of Tiran and Sanafir transferred from Egypt’s sovereignty to its own as quickly a possible.
Eshki made clear that once Saudi Arabia assumes sovereignty over the two islands, it will abide by the Camp David Accords, and that the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli peace deal — which cut Egypt off from the Arab world and the Palestinian cause and led to the opening of an Israeli embassy in Cairo – would cease to be a purely bilateral agreement.
Resolutions Against The Terrorist Jewish Regime Israel Are Only Words Nothing Is Ever Done
"The Israelis are not pressured in any way other than verbally. We need to actually be doing something that actually forces them to listen, because they don't care that they're killing Palestinians."
The House Of Cards Collapses: Diversity Or Meritocracy?
How Google Rigs Search And Hurts Consumers
By Michael Krieger: I’m sure all of you heard about the $2.7 billion fine imposed by the EU on Google as a result of its anti-competitive behavior, but not many of you probably know exactly what the search giant did to earn it. To shine some light on the topic, let’s take a look at a few excerpts from a recent article written by Silicon Valley antitrust lawyer Gary Reback.
Below are some choice excerpts from the piece, You Should Be Outraged at Google’s Anti-Competitive Behavior:
Below are some choice excerpts from the piece, You Should Be Outraged at Google’s Anti-Competitive Behavior:
Before 2007, if a user searched for a product on Google, other sites listing prices for that product would appear among the general search results, ranked in the order of their quality to users. These “comparison shopping sites” were designed to identify merchants with the lowest prices. The more accurate and comprehensive their results, the higher they were ranked and the more traffic they generated.
But the more successful that comparison shopping sites became, the more they threatened Google’s business plan. Google makes money by selling ads placed next to its free search results, and merchants could not be expected to bid for ad placement if the listings in comparison shopping sites on the same search undercut their prices.
