The Jewish Chronicle today reveals that an inquiry has been launched into the conduct of a truth telling teacher who had the audacity to present historical facts in the “presence of pupils.”
Apparently, Ethan Saunders, who teaches history and politics at Jewish Free School, “strongly defended” Ken Livingston’s truthful statements about Zionist collaboration with Nazis. Saunders’ statements came during a book launch for Dr. David Hirsh’s latest book, ‘Contemporary Left Antisemitism. 
Hirsh, an anti intellectual academic and a dedicated hasbara mouthpiece, complained to the JC: ‘“There were questions from students and then a teacher stood up at the back and, in a fairly kind of belligerent way, said: ‘I don’t agree with anything you said.’ He said that I hadn’t told the whole story to the students; it was a pretty clear allegation not only that I kind of got it wrong, but that I was speaking in bad faith.”

This is a very revealing Russian TV news report. Full transcript follows below. Just from the manner of the announcer, one can see he thinks this is very significant. It is the first story at the top of the hour.
The Russians are prepared to build extra capacity into many of their biggest civilian industrial companies, which serves no commercial purpose, but would allow them to rapidly increase military production if necessary - that would be mostly auto and aviation manufacturing, but also medicine and food supplies.

The goal is to upgrade manufacturing facilities and create a reserve of material and technical resources, a kind of inviolable reserve.

Putin is taking no chances with a plainly aggressive and hostile NATO, and US military establishment pushing war on several continents.

Women Underestimate Own Sexual Intention And Men Overestimate Women’s Sexual Intention

By Jordan Holbrook:  With all the recent furore around consent and the so-called ‘rape culture’, how many of these crossed wires and sexual/romantic faux pas are the fault of men? According to a recent study, men and women could be both held equally accountable for giving and reading into wrong signals, resulting in miscommunication and a touch on the knee or an attempt at a kiss when one isn’t wanted. These findings contradict the argument that it is men who overstep the boundary by assuming a woman is giving sexual signals when she is not.

Whilst it is true that it has been found men do predict a woman’s sexual intentions to be higher than what she later says her intentions actually were, it has previously been argued whether this occurs because men overestimate women’s intentions or because women underreport their intentions.

In the study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Professor Priya Raghubir, chair of the Marketing Department at NYU Stern School of Business, and former NYU Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar Isabelle Engeler, find a gap in how women and men interpret dating situations and intentions.

Across three experiments, they measured the ‘misprediction bias’ between men and women. In the first experiment, they assessed the overall size of the misprediction bias then they altered the order-of-elicitation of self- and other-reports to assess the impact of the order on self-awareness and honesty, which occurred in experiments two and three.

1. Introduction and Background

Well, well, what do we have here? A report from the MoJ itself on gender disparity in prison sentencing. I’ll get to that. First, a brief reprise.
It was in February 2014 I first wrote an article, on my older site, about men being treated more harshly than women by the judiciary in regard to imprisonment. In the process I discovered I was not the only one to have noticed. Philip Davies, MP for Shipley, had spoken about the matter in Parliament on 16^th October 2012 (2:30pm). I later posted a precis of the argument on this site on 21^st November 2014. It was to become the most visited article on this site (excluding the Home Page and “Introduction”).
I addressed various challenges to my (admittedly crude) analysis in this post which followed in March 2015. Later I presented an updated analysis, here, based on indictable offences only, which I now regard as more robust. Both the original analysis and the updated analysis were presented in a public talk held at UCL on 25^th February 2016 (see the Powerpoint slides or watch the video).
Then, on the 8^th July 2016 Philip Davies spoke again, at ICMI16, on the matter of the different treatment of men and women as regards prison sentencing.

RT: The upper house of the Russian parliament has overwhelmingly supported a landmark bill requiring foreign media outlets such as Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty to register as foreign agents.
The Federation Council supported the legislation during a vote on Wednesday. Under the law, any foreign-funded media outlet may be designated a foreign agent by the Justice Ministry. The status stipulates that those outlets must comply with the requirements of the new law. 
The bill was introduced to the State Duma, the lower house, and adopted by MPs on November 15. In the bill, "foreign media performing the functions of a foreign agent," are defined as entities distributing "to unlimited audience, print, audio, audiovisual and other messages and materials."
