Butthurt EU Signed Deal With Argentina To Name Falkland Islands "Malvinas" Despite All Islanders Being Proudly British

Britain's Foreign Office has been dealt a blow following use by butthurt European Union of the Argentine name for the proudly British populated Falkland Islands...

Authored by Evgenia Filimianova: EU leaders met with officials of 33 Latin American countries, known as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), in Brussels earlier this week and signed the EU-CELAC summit declaration (pdf). The document referred to the contested Falkland Islands as “Islas Malvinas,” which is the Argentine name for the territory.

Argentina has been continuously claiming the British-run islands in the South Atlantic, over which the two countries fought a war in 1982.

“Regarding the question of sovereignty over the Islas Malvinas/Falkland Islands, the European Union took note of CELAC’s historical position based on the importance of dialogue and respect for international law in the peaceful solution of disputes,” the declaration said.

Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Santiago Cafiero hailed the move as a “triumph of diplomacy” on Twitter.

By James Chaarani: There is use of mRNA vaccines in the livestock that we eat, Shayan Sharif, a professor at the University of Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College said. We need to be talking about it now for the sake of public transparency.

"This is very similar to public health communication failures that they had during the COVID-19 pandemic," Sharif told CBC News. "Part of it was the fact that there was very limited amounts of information shared with the public."

"I think this is a good time to talk about it just to make sure that the public understands."

Vaccines have been used on the animals that we eat as far back as 1879, according to a paper by the Livestock Research Innovation Corporation (LRIC) in Guelph, and there currently is an approved mRNA vaccine available in Canada for swine. 

Sharif said that the benefits of mRNA vaccines in livestock over the traditional ones that are currently being used is that they're easier to make, can be made more quickly and are more lucrative for Big Pharma.
