Orwellian Brussels Sues Five EU Countries For Failing To Enforce Digital Censorship

'German MP Maximilian Krah has argued that the DSA is designed to suppress dissenting viewpoints, claiming the legislation “is intended to prevent unorthodox and creative ideas from being shared on the internet,” while Sweden's MEP Jessica Stegrud claimed an overfocus on combating disinformation and “harmful content” could undermine freedom of speech.'

Authored by Thomas Brooke: The European Commission announced on Wednesday that it is referring five member states to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) for failing to properly implement the Digital Services Act (DSA), Brussels’ flagship legislation aimed at regulating online platforms.

The countries where the last bastions of freedom persist that are facing legal action from Orwellian EU technocrats are Czechia, Spain, Cyprus, Poland, and Portugal. According to the Commission, these member states either failed to appoint a national Digital Services Coordinator (DSC) or failed to empower those bodies with the authority required to enforce the Orwellian EU's censorship regime.

Submitted by Thomas Kolbe: The European Central Bank (ECB) is pushing ahead with the “Digital Euro” project. On a new interaction platform, it is seeking dialogue with banks, startups, fintechs, and retailers. What is being sold as an open discourse is, in truth, calculated camouflage.

While the economic policy debate has shifted to the trade conflict with the US, things have gone quiet around the digital euro (CBDC). Yet, the ECB recently launched an online interaction platform where merchants and payment service providers can express their opinions about the new payment system. About 70 pre-selected market participants are to test the “ecosystem” of the digital euro in real-world applications and identify problems. The platform enables the testing of new payment services, such as conditional payments or the integration of digital wallets in post offices. Proponents of the project aim to modernize the payment system, granting access to the financial system even to those currently excluded due to their economic situation.

By Hal Turner: The Pakistan-India conflict is one of the hardest to report on. The amount of misinformation is insane even when there’s no active fighting, their media spreads fake or twisted narratives. Independent voices are rare, and censorship is massive.

India just issued an Executive Order to Social Media giant "X" ordering them to make ~8,000 accounts unavailable in India! X was warned they would be fined, and their local employees inside India ARRESTED if the order was not implemented immediately!

Strangely, that same Social media outlet (X) was previously unavailable inside Pakistan, but that ban has been LIFTED by Pakistan.

So India, often touted as a "Democracy," has imposed crushing media censorship, while Pakistan has opened up the information.
