'West wages war to plunder Mali natural resources'

Mali is the third largest gold producing country in the world yet its people are amongst the poorest and Western countries want to exploit this. In the background of this there are now thousands of French troops in Mali and also hundreds of British troops. Hundreds of thousands of Malians have been displaced and fleeing the country despite the so-called safety net of foreign military presence.
