By Billionaire business tycoon Donald Trump has been surging ahead of all other GOP candidates in recent polls, leaving critics and pundits equally aghast. How could a brash, straight-talking, no-nonsense television personality be a serious contender for the Oval Office?
Hey, anyone remember Ronald Reagan?
I’ve often noted that if I had to vote in American elections, I would generally be torn every election. The fiscal policies of the Democrats are batshit crazy (Let’s spend way more than we make! We’ll just print more money!), but the social conservatism of the Republicans is equally unappealing (Let’s teach creationism! We don’t need scientists anyways!) – how sane Americans make a decision every four years is beyond me. But 2016 could be different. For once, there might be a candidate with sweeping appeal who will not get caught up in irrational fiscal or social policy, because he’ll be focusing on the bottom line: Donald Trump. And by focusing on the bottom line, Trump will be a great President for men.
Trump made his fortune in real estate. If there is one thing he understands, it’s infrastructure. Unless you plan to tear a building down and replace it with something new, there is little point in buying a building and then doing absolutely nothing to maintain that structure. And since Trump made his reputation for luxury real estate, you can be damn sure he keeps a hawk’s eye on anything in his buildings that needs repair, replacement or refurbishing.
One of the biggest issues facing the US right now is a crumbling infrastructure.
Remember when Obama cancelled infrastructure and renewal projects because feminists threw a hissy fit that the money would go virtually 100% to men, because virtually 100% of infrastructure work is done by men? Yeah, rather than encourage women to pick up a fucking shovel with their precious, precious limbs, feminists whined and moaned and had resources transferred into the bullshit sectors women consider ‘work’, which amounts to filing paperwork alphabetically in an air-conditioned office and tweeting #KillAllMen on Twitter when that task gets too onerous.
Can you imagine Trump putting up with that shit for even one second?
Trump is a capitalist, pure and simple. He isn’t going to waste any time considering ‘gender quotas’ or ‘equality of outcomes’ or any other non-productive, non-profitable bullshit to win votes, because he knows he doesn’t have to. Women may be the majority of voters, but lazy women who want to live off the state aka feminists are not. They are a loud, screechy, demanding, whiny lot who feel entitled to rewards they did not earn, but Trump hasn’t demonstrated an ounce of paternalism or white knighting for these damsels in distress of their own making. What are the costs? What are the benefits?
Trump will not be taking shit from feminists. Count on it.
A Trump presidency means a ton of money poured into infrastructure projects, which means a renewal in jobs for men, especially working class and blue collar men – the very group no one gives a shit about currently. And Trump won’t fund infrastructure because he wants to appeal that particular, overlooked demographic, he’ll do it because that’s the smartest way to spend tax dollars. Spend tax money wisely, you invariably spend it on men. Spend tax money foolishly, you invariably spend it on women. Trump isn’t a billionaire because he panders to whiny women with fuck all in the way of marketable skills.
Investment in infrastructure ties in with the fact that Trump is independently wealthy and does not need to bow to corporate interests who will fund his Super PAC. There is no other candidate who can mount a campaign without sucking some corporate dick at some point. Trump does not need to appease Big Pharma, Haliburton, the various public service sector unions, banks, investment funds or any other interest group that currently has Congress in bondage, owing blowjobs for the next century, meaning corporations are running the country, not citizens via elected representatives. I personally am gleefully anticipating Trump not just bitch-slapping every single one of these assholes buying influence, but waiting for him to lay bare to the American public just what kind of whores they have elected to Congress.
Trump will expose them all. Try and buy him off. Do it! He will flay you in public and have fun doing it.
One of the biggest infrastructure projects I suspect Trump will invest in is the military, and again, that’s not going to be to win over a particular demographic with promises to meet their needs, it’s because war is a profitable business venture, and America needs a mighty military. Like it or not, some of our best technological advances come from the military industrial complex. No other method of rapid, publicly funded research has proven as effective as the military. Funding the military, especially the R&D segment of the military means funding men, once again. Women are largely paper pushers in the military, too. And God help the Pentagon officials who have been on their knees blowing private contractors. I’m looking forward to Trump getting hold of their books, assuming they don’t kill him first.
Trump runs a business empire than spans the globe and operates in virtually every currency. The Chinese intentionally deflating their currency to appear globally competitive isn’t a concept Trump read about sitting on the Oval Office toilet reading the Economist – he’s been sourcing goods from China for years, and he is living through Beijing’s currency manipulations, with a direct impact on his own balance sheets, never mind the balance sheets of the nation. Give Trump the authority to price adjust the renmembi for imports, and the Chinese will be playing fair ball more or less immediately, particularly given that China holds a ton of US debt. If the US economy tanks, China goes down with it. The current government is refusing to price adjust China because, oh gee, is it because they’re pussies or because they’re corrupt motherfuckers who are making money off an artificially weak yuan? Trump already has great personal wealth. He has little incentive to grow that for himself, and tons of incentive to grow that for the nation. Force China to bid with an accurately valued currency and jobs start flooding back to the US. Manufacturing jobs in particular. Once again, men win.
Trump’s position on immigration and building a wall to keep out immigrants is good for one group of men and not so good for another. Legal immigrants, who tend to be conservative, family-oriented and religious will benefit when drug-dealing, gangbangers with criminal intentions are kept out, because those bad apples are spoiling the whole bushel. Men who deal drugs and run other criminal gangs won’t find border controls very conducive for business, but I think Trump has the right idea. Immigration is fine – go through the legal channels, end of fucking story. The wall, of course, will likely be designed by men, maintained by men, staffed by men, repaired by men and erected with natural resources provided by …. men. If you are philosophically opposed to the wall – I’ll dub you anti-Hadrians – you cannot deny that the wall would provide important economic stimuli that would benefit primarily men.
Trump has not laid out his agenda in any comprehensive way at the moment, but I feel entirely confident that he would not only make a great President for the nation, he would make a great President for men, in particular. When you are focused on short-term gains, instant gratification, unsustainable policies that destroy future opportunity, petty, greedy policies that pander to one demographic at the expense of all others, you are invariably funding women. When you are making financially responsible decisions focused on the well-being of all and the bottom line, when you are focused on the future and on the legacy we will leave to future generations, you invariably end up funding men.
Trump is a man concerned with the bottom line, a sustainable future, a brisk ROI that benefits the nation and not just a handful of rich people who paid off the right Congressmen or Pentagon official, and above all else, making America great again.
I hope he wins.
Invest in American men, and you invest in your future.
Lots of love,
JB
