The Appeal of Any Movement
Like religions, political movements offer converts several things of great psychological benefit, including:

1. Friendship and social acceptance.
2. An easy explanation for why the world is the way that it is.
3. An easy way to blame their problems and frustrations on something other than themselves.
4. The chance to become more powerful as a group than they could be individually.

I would say most people join movements or religions they see as representing the thing they lack in themselves and their lives, but want and hope for most.

The UN supported Washington’s sanctions against Iraq that resulted in the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children. In 2006 the UN voted sanctions against Iran for exercising its right as a signatory of the non-proliferation treaty to develop atomic energy. Washington claimed without any evidence that Iran was building a nuclear weapon in violation of the non-proliferation treaty, and this lie was accepted by the UN. Washington’s false claim was repudiated by all 16 US intelligence agencies and by the International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors on the ground in Iran, but in the face of the factual evidence the US government and its presstitute media pressed the claim to the point that Russia had to intervene and take the matter out of Washington’s warmonger hands. When people do this, they are trying to change the subject and reassert control of the conversation so as to remove the feminist project, at large, from the critical spotlight.
Radical feminism – by which I mean chiefly the man-hating kind – is a standard which sets the measure for feminism as a whole. All brands of feminism are either more or less relevant depending on how closely they approximate radical feminism.
Radical feminism is 100 proof, and a radical feminist takes her feminism neat. Others take theirs watered down – but it’s all the same drink.
People love to tell you that the radfems are “just fringe extremists” – as if we were standing in a field and the radfems were some tight little cluster, cut off in their own world on the perimeter. What the speaker fails to consider is that all feminism is on a continuum whose unifying principle is disaffection toward men and things male. That’s all it is, and if you study feminism objectively you can form no other conclusion.
There is no break, no gap, no discontinuity, between radical feminism and the rest of feminism. It is a moral plenum, fully packed. For every foul man-hater, there is a slightly less foul man-hater, then a slightly less foul one than that . . . and down the line it goes, shade by shade.

38 Dead After Saudi Arabia, Head Of UN Human Rights Panel, Bombs Wedding In Yemen

Saudi Arabia sure is on a roll. Having just been rewarded with the head position on a UN’s human rights panel for its unmatched capacity for barbarism and civil rights abuse, the Saudis can now add another massacre to its long list of war crimes.
The Associated Press reports:

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — The Saudi-led coalition targeting Yemen’s Shiite rebels mistakenly struck a wedding party on Monday, killing at least 38 people, Yemeni security officials said.

The strikes hit the celebration in al-Wahga, a village near the strategic Strait of Bab al-Mandab, said the officials, who remain neutral in the conflict that has splintered Yemen.

At least 40 people were wounded in the two airstrikes, they said. The strikes, a senior government official said, were “a mistake.” [Because apparently no one cares what happens to men, it was pointed out that,] ...Many of the victims were women and children, according to several villagers.

Thanks for that Ms Saunders, but it does not leave the average man on the street any clearer. So for the avoidance of doubt, Section 74 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 states “a person consents if he agrees by choice, and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice.”
Who needs a law degree when we have Twitter? Then there is this further detail from Ms Saunders in The Guardian, comparing having sex to having a cup of tea (I kid you not).

The original purpose of this obscene practice was to diminish sexual pleasure in adult men. It detrimentally affects many men’s physical and mental health, blighting their lives, and sometimes leads to suicide.
This mutilation of healthy minors’ bodies has always been illegal under Common Law. It is illegal under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, as well as a plethora of more recent legislation, which, inter alia, protects the basic right of the individual to bodily autonomy, until that person reaches an age to make an informed decision. MGM also breaches UN and EU conventions.

The premise of the show is a near perfect rip-off of the now defunct feminist show 30 Rock: Kermit takes over the role of creator/producer/head writer “Liz Lemon” (Tina Fey) while Miss Piggy takes over the role of the demanding diva (Jenna Maroney and/or Tracy Jordan, played by Jane Krakowski and/or Tracy Morgan) of her own late night mock variety TV show, Up Late with Miss Piggy.

No, MGTOWs Don’t Hate Women

For certain, there are some in the MGTOW community who do hate women, and consider them downright evil, but those are a vocal minority, and just as a whole lot of radical, hateful feminism arose from the lived, painful experiences of women, so too, I think, does a lot of the more radical sentiments expressed by some MGTOWs arise from the lived, painful experiences of men. If we’re going to define an entire movement by its radical element, feminism is over before it even starts. If feminists reject being defined by their most hateful, violent, disturbed adherents, then so too can any other social movement.

The United Nations takes the well-being of girls and women seriously, and as of today, a new force of Blue Helmets will be trained to insert themselves around the world to rescue women subjected to forced marriages, genital mutilation, acid attacks, public stonings and whippings for crimes ranging from being the victims of gang-rape to marrying without permission. If the women consent to the rescue, they will be taken into protective custody and relocated to a Western nation of their choice.
We are also pleased to announce a new training initiative, welcoming all women and men truly concerned about the well-being of women and girls. Recruits are invited to register at their local police stations, where they will be trained to take part in these rescue operations. We look forward to welcoming the millions of women and men from Western nations who are prepared to put their lives on the line to take a stand against global misogyny. Too many girls and women are suffering under oppressive regimes that would maim, torture and kill them for the freedoms we take for granted in the West.

Submitted by Tyler Durden: When Tony Abbott became Australia's prime minister in September 2013, the chain of events that would prematurely end his tenure may already have been in motion: just a few months later China would order its out of control shadow banking system to put on hold its debt issuance machinery, which as we reported a year ago, ground to a complete stop around November 2014 (which also was the explanation for the dramatic slowdown in the US economy over the winter as the collapse in China's Total Social Financing growth sent a deflationary ripple effect around the globe), which - as we warned at the time - would have dire consequences on all of China's "feeder" economies, namely Brazil and Australia.

But while we have been tracking the implosion of Brazil's economy since December, long before the rest of the world noticed the calamitous collapse of what was once Latin America's most vibrant economy, it was a very recent event in Australia - not the country's parallel economic slowdown also due to China's hard landing: that was painfully clear long in advance - that took many by surprise. Namely, the resignation of Tony Abbott almost exactly two years after becoming Prime Minister.
And while it is easy to blame his admission of failure on external factors, namely the Chinese slowdown, a very surprising finding has emerged over the past few days, one which reveals Abbott's "ouster" in a totally different light.
According to Freedom of Information documents obtained by Australia's ABC, now-former prime minister Tony Abbott's own department discussed setting up an investigation into the Bureau of Meteorology amid media claims it was exaggerating estimates of global warming.

Was this Washington’s way of demoting China’s status by having its president play second fiddle to the Pope? The President of China is here for week-end news coverage? Why didn’t Obama just tell him to go to hell?
Washington’s cyber incompetence and inability to maintain cyber security is being blamed on China. The day before Xi Jinping’s arrival in Washington, the White House press secretary warmed up President Jinping’s visit by announcing that Obama might threaten China with financial sanctions.
And not to miss an opportunity to threaten or insult the President of China, the US Secretary of Commerce fired off a warning that the Obama regime was too unhappy with China’s business practices for the Chinese president to expect a smooth meeting in Washington.
In contrast, when Obama visited China, the Chinese government treated him with politeness and respect.

The report concludes that online harassment is “a problem of pandemic proportion” — which, nbd, we’ve all heard before.

But the United Nations then goes on to propose radical, proactive policy changes for both governments and social networks, effectively projecting a whole new vision for how the Internet could work.
