Västra Götaland Parliament: Genital Mutilation Of Boys Is OK

By Lucian Vâlsan:  SWEDEN. VÄSTRA GÖTALAND. The County Council, the policy making assembly of Västra Götaland, voted yesterday upon a motion that would further reinforce the legality of genital mutilation of boys (circumcision).
Jonas Andersson of the Sweden Democrats argued in front of the assembly that the alteration of children’s genitals without a proper medical reason is a violation of children’s human rights and that it stands to reason that young boy’s human rights ought to also be respected in Västra Götaland and in Sweden at large.
Nevertheless, the motion was passed with an overwhelming vote, showing once again the backwardness of the political establishment in terms of the evolving understanding of the world.
The motion passed with 131 votes “For”, no abstentions and 14 votes “against”.

As if that weren’t bad enough, there’s the matter reported by Bryan Cloughly at Strategic Culture, headlining on May 19th, “Surging Towards yet Another War”, where he pointed out that “The United States has no territorial rights of any sort, in the South China Sea which is 7,000 miles (11,000 kilometres) from its west coast. There is nothing in international law that justifies its unilateral military ‘challenge’ to China’s presence” there, in that area which is contested between five countries: China, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Brunei.
The American government, which has no authority to speak for the entire world regarding international law — of which the U.S. itself has been perhaps the most frequent violator during the past 16 years — isn’t “policeman of the world,” certainly not judge and jury and executioner (well, maybe executioner) of the world, but instead it’s merely an aspiring global thug: “The Pentagon declared on 10 May that China’s ‘excessive maritime claims are inconsistent with international law as reflected in the Law of the Sea Convention in that they purport to restrict the navigation rights that the United States and all states are entitled to exercise’.” Cloughly points out that the U.S. “refuses to ratify the Law of the Sea Convention — while ordering every other country to abide by it.”

 Gilad Atzmon: After 12 years, Saarwellingen is a second home for me. I love the place, I love the people. You might say I am a Schwencker fanatic .
Gerhard Alt:  Please describe what happens in the workshops.
 Gilad Atzmon: Our jazz course focuses on musical intuition as opposed to academic or theoretical knowledge. We believe that music is primarily an attempt to produce beauty. We believe in playing and a lot of it. Jam sessions every night. Extensive combo workshops and instrumental instruction. Like Martin Heidegger, I believe that to teach is to teach others how to learn. We teach our students how to become their own instructors.

My loyal readers know that I, myself, have been warning for some time about the likelihood of nuclear war.  However, there is a vast difference between me and the Western generals.  I see the war as the consequence of the neoconservative drive for US world hegemony.  The neoconservative drive for world hegemony is acknowledged by the neoconservatives themselves in their public position papers, and it has a 15 year record of being implemented in America’s many and ongoing wars in the Middle East and Africa.  Although the Presstitute media does its best to keep our focus away from the known facts, the facts remain known.
