The Internet Is For Porn - Tennessee, USA Is Not, Apparently

By : Tennessee resolution would deem porn ‘public health crisis’
So Tennessee wants to ban porn to bring men back into marriage. Yeaaaaah…that’s not going to happen, for several reasons, but let’s start from the top:
there’s a reason for the government to be afraid of what they’re seeing – there’s been a massive drop in marriages over the last few decades, and a huge drop in the amount of kids produced as well. As a state, or a country, you need people to govern. You need people to do the work that’s required to keep everything running. And in particular, you need a new influx of people to pay taxes because it’s essentially built as a pyramid scheme, and if the bottom falls out from under you, the whole thing collapses.
The problem is, they have no clue why it’s falling apart like it is. Men are avoiding getting married because, well, what do you expect? There was a huge push to destroy the nuclear family because of a belief that men were evil back in the 60’s, and it took a few decades to take effect, but they succeeded.
The common stereotype of a marriage now is that a man gets married, has a few kids, his spoiled brat of a wife divorces him, he never sees his children again but still has to pay for all of them through child support and alimony. So what do guys do? Instead of working themselves to an early grave like in past generations to care for their families, now they don’t even bother trying to start a family and work the bare minimum needed to support themselves and their personal hobbies.

I’m sure access to porn probably plays a small, tiny bit into such, but let’s face it, that’s only a small alleviation of the larger problem and removing it won’t fix anything. If anything, removing porn will make the problem much, much worse because that’s one of the few things keeping men from going insane over the current cultural setup that has basically painted them as useless for anything other than a paycheck with no further value to society.

And here’s the thing – it’s the smartest people who are dropping out of society predominately. Those are the ones we should be cultivating and supporting, but they’re the ones who first realize it’s a game that has been stacked against them. Why do you think men have stopped going to college/university to the point their numbers have dropped to nearly half of what they were a few decades ago? Guys always used to sacrifice themselves for others, until they started getting slapped and told that doing such was hurting women by stealing their jobs. It’s wrong for a guy to strive to be a CEO or scientist or anything else now. They’re shamed, punished and penalized for sacrificing themselves for others, so they stopped doing it.

I’m all for equality, but that’s not what we created. We created a society where men are being actively discouraged from marriage from multiple sides at a time. Removing porn won’t do anything to correct that, and it’s not the government’s place to try to control morality anyway. That’s what got us into this mess in the first place.

But yeah, the problem’s a lot deeper and more complex than “ban porn” can ever hope to solve. At least they realize there is a problem, but they clearly have no clue about the root causes of such.

Men tend to do what society and women tell them to do. They’ll lay down their lives for others if they’re told that’s what makes them good men. We have all of history as proof of this. The most overwhelming reason that men won’t marry women has nothing to do with porn – it’s because they’ve been told that women and society don’t want men to work hard, self sacrifice and be rewarded for such. Until that gets fixed, this isn’t going to go away.

You absolutely have to tell men what is wanted of them. What they “should” be doing. It has to be clear and they have to be given a reward for doing so and punishment for failing to do so. That’s just how a society operates – you reward people for doing what’s beneficial to society, and punish them for things that aren’t beneficial to society. You give medals of honour to those who defend the society in some way, shape or form, you punish the criminals. Simple enough of a concept, right? The reason we’re stuck where we are is men get punished for working, punished for marriage, punished for excellence, punished for almost everything they do. The only thing they have left is to remove themselves from society. If you punish that too, you’re going to see a breaking point, and the results aren’t going to be pretty.

Right now, they’re in a state of peaceful protest. Guess what happens when you start removing their capacity to do even that? Yeah, you get violent protests instead. Do you want to see your entire country collapse? Because this is how you go about making your entire country collapse. Men turn to porn for a lot of reasons, but in this particular case it’s because they’re slapped when they do anything else. If you slap them for absolutely everything without exception, we know for a fact, and it’s been quite well studied, that this creates a neurosis in the recipient. They become agitated, confused and unsure what to do when absolutely everything they do is punished. And then they turn violent.

So before you strip porn away from men, you’d better have something else you’re encouraging them to go into. And no, they won’t turn back to marriage because they’ve already been flat out told that men aren’t desired in a family. That’s why they left it in the first place. To be blunt, if there’s nowhere left for men to go, we’re all screwed. And not just because I used a double negative there.
But you don’t care about any of that, do you? I mean, it’s only men. And apparently that’s the only thing you care about, given that you’re trying to punish men in order to make women happy. So uh… well I like porn too. A lot of women like porn. And you wouldn’t hurt teh wimminz ryt? So yeah, don’t ban porn. Not because it’ll fuck over everything, not because it’s actively harmful, not because it’s yet another slap in the face to men, but don’t ban it because women don’t want you to. Sigh. Why do I even have to go here? The fact that I have to appeal to this from the point of “It will somewhat annoy a few women!” as it’s more effective than “IT WILL FUCK OVER YOUR ENTIRE COUNTRY!” is somehow just… wrong. But that’s where we are. Yeah, this isn’t going to end well when basic self-preservation isn’t enough to warrant so much as even consideration of not sticking your hand in the blender.
Good luck, Tennessee. You’re going to need it with these suicidal impulses of yours.
