These are all fun news headlines, but they are not a good reason to stop investing in the stock market. However, given the unique situation with high interest rates and a cost of living crisis, there are reasons why you might want to stop investing RIGHT now. Paying off your debt, overpaying your mortgage or finding other ways of indirectly getting a guaranteed return on your money could be a smarter choice.
