Australia, just like Britain, has strict gun control laws, so the attackers knew they would not face anyone shooting back at them. We can thank our politicians for making us helpless in the face of deadly danger.
Video of the twenty minute long attack is all over Social Media. Police sirens can be heard throughout the video, but no police are seen engaging the two men as they fired rifles at crowds of people at the beach. Several eye witnesses at the scene claim Police "were frozen" and did not engage the attackers.
It wasn't until well into the attack that police snipers shot the attackers. One attacker is dead, the other is reportedly in custody,.

Why is anyone surprised this attack took place? People all over the world are falling over themselves expressing "shock" and "outage" about the attack.
For me, my first thought was: This is GAZA Retaliation.
Given what the state of Israel has done in the Gaza Strip, it is little surprise to me that such an attack has taken place.
Israel has used fighter jets to drop 2,000 pound bombs on apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, refugee camps, and even private homes, slaughtering over 60,000 men, women and children.
Each atrocity Israel committed was excused. No matter the target, Israel told the world "It was a HAMAS gathering." Or it was a "Terrorist." It didn't matter they blew the arms or legs off little kids. It didn't matter that babies were killed in their mother's arms. It didn't matter when they bombed a tent refugee camp, or that the bombs detonated propane gas cylinders which exploded and burned people to death in the camp. It was all "HAMAS" they said.
Lie after lie after lie. Murder after murder after murder. Israeli Army snipers even spent a few days shooting people standing in line for food. "Mistake" the IDF said. Then they did it again, and again, and again.
The world looked the other way and has done almost nothing to confront or stop the slaughter.
When the bombs weren't dropping, wretched, filthy, degenerate, Israeli settlers were blocking the entry of food and water into Gaza -- and the degenerate scum of the Israeli Army, protected those settlers! Frankly, based on the actions of some of these "settlers" I think they are the worst two-legged bags of human garbage on this planet.
When the International Court of Justice at the Hague began a Genocide Inquiry, Israel got the politicians it has bought around the world, to interfere with the Court itself!
No one has put a stop the the Israeli slaughter. In fact, over 500 more Palestinians have died since a so-called "cease fire" has been in effect.
So why is anyone surprised that this massacre has taken place? I think it is the logical outcome of the Israeli actions.
Just because YOU may be bought-off by Israel or fooled by its propaganda, doesn't mean that everyone else is. The mental weaklings cite the Bible; say "anything they do is OK because they are God's chosen."
God never said they could do as they want. But don't let facts and reality get in the way of your mental weakness - keep right on excusing the murders; Hell awaits the excusers.
It is no surprise to me, at all, that this attack took place on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. In fact, the only surprise to me is that something like this hasn't happened sooner, or more often, in more places.
