Breaking news: Traffic from Syria Disappears from Internet
By Dan Hubbard: At around 18:45 UTC OpenDNS resolvers saw a significant
drop in traffic from Syria. On closer inspection it seems Syria has
largely disappeared from the Internet.
The graph below shows DNS traffic from and to Syria.
Although Twitter remains relatively silent, the drop in both inbound and
outbound traffic from Syria is clearly visible. The small amount of
outbound traffic depicted by the chart indicates our DNS servers trying
to reach DNS servers in Syria.
Currently both TLD servers for Syria, ns1.tld.sy and
ns2.tld.sy are unreachable. The remaining two nameservers
sy.cctld.authdns.ripe.net. and pch.anycast.tld.sy. are reachable since
they are not within Syria.
The Umbrella Security Labs also reported
on an Internet blackout in Syria November of 2012, where we shared
details of the top 10 most failed domains during the outage.

By Jon
Matonis: When people hear the term money laundering today, they
envision the most evil of acts, in which gangsters process satchels of
cash through a fabricated company to show it as business revenue. Words
and semantics are very important in this post-9/11 world, and as far as
creating a negative connotation, that parlance has been extremely
effective.
At its essence, money laundering is the act of concealing money or assets from the state to prevent its loss through taxation, judgment enforcement, or blatant confiscation. However, as the late J. Orlin Grabbe wrote: "Anyone who has studied the evolution of money-laundering statutes in the U.S. and elsewhere will realize that the 'crime' of money laundering boils down to a single, basic prohibited act: Doing something and not telling the government about it."

Apartheid Israel regime pretends that Google 'Palestine' page damages prospects for peace
Tom McCarthy: Israeli officials have reacted sternly to Google's decision last
week to change the label on its home page in the occupied territories from "Palestinian territories" to "Palestine".
The deputy Israeli foreign minister, Zeev Elkin, said the move to recognize Palestine would backfire.
"I think that the Google decision from the last few days is very, very problematic," Elkin told Israel's Army Radio, according to Reuters. "When a company like Google comes along and supports this line, it actually pushes peace further away, pushes away negotiations, and creates among the Palestinian leadership the illusion that in this manner they can achieve the result. (Bullshit!)

The troubling privacy implications of increasingly common eye tracking technology
By Madison Ruppert: With eye tracking technology becoming increasingly common in
everything from phones to computers, some individuals and groups have
raised troubling concerns about the privacy implications involved.
While this technology can be used in applications related to advertising, it most troublingly can be used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies as is the case with the Department of Homeland Security’s “Future Attribute Screening Technology.”
It can also be used by computer systems to detect when people are lying much more accurately than humans can, according to research.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G Pro will reportedly feature basic eye tracking technology and eye tracking can be used for everything from “marketing and usability to software and science,” according to one company marketing eye tracking.
Another company, Eye Tribe, even seeks to put an eye tracker in every smartphone with a focus on allowing the technology to “be built into mobile devices for just a couple of dollars,”

Unelected Fascist Bankster Shills: European Commission to criminalize nearly all seeds and plants not registered with government
Mike Adams: A new law proposed by the European Commission would make
it illegal to "grow, reproduce or trade" any vegetable seeds that have
not been "tested, approved and accepted" by a new EU bureaucracy named
the "EU Plant Variety Agency."
It's called the Plant Reproductive Material Law, and it attempts to put the government in charge of virtually all plants and seeds. Home gardeners who grow their own plants from non-regulated seeds would be considered criminals under this law.
The draft text of the law, which has already been amended several times due to a huge backlash from gardeners, is viewable here.
"This law will immediately stop the professional development of vegetable varieties for home gardeners, organic growers, and small-scale market farmers,"

'Worse than AIDS' - sex 'superbug' discovered in Japan called disaster in waiting
RT: Doctors are warning that a drug-resistant strain of gonorrhea could
be more deadly than AIDS, and are urging members of US Congress to spend
$54 million for the development of a drug that would fight it.
"This might be a lot worse than AIDS in the short run because the bacteria is more aggressive and will affect more people quickly," Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine, told CNBC.
The new strain of gonorrhea, H041, was first discovered in 2009 after a sex worker fell victim to the superbug in Japan. Medical officials reported that the medication-resilient ‘sex superbug’ was discovered in Hawaii in May 2011, and has since spread to California and Norway, the International Business Times reports.
Nearly 30 million people die from AIDS-related causes each year, and the H041 superbug could have similar consequences, according to Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine.
"Getting gonorrhea from this strain might put someone into septic shock and death in a matter of days,"

Where We Are, Why Gold Was Bombed, And Why TA Is A Waste Of Time
By Jim Sinclair: Dear CIGAs,
We have spent more than 12 years working to educate you on the
subject of gold. I only ask in return that you consider these three
videos carefully. These presentations sum up where we are, why gold was
bombed, why technical analysis is in gold a major waste of time and the
direction we are without any doubt going.
If you will devote time to watching each video carefully you will see
how the recent operation to help the dollar by depreciating price of
gold was not a short play but a play to keep a system alive.
