The deputies of the Duma have already brought a law on the way to be voted on. Among the affected companies, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Boston Consulting Group Inc. and McKinsey & Co. The Obama Administration is perhaps the most inept regime I have ever seen. I disagreed with Bush the Cheney puppet, but these people are vicious and evil-minded both against Russia and domestically. They should have sat down behind the curtain with Putin, even though he is an old world empire dreamer. These sanctions are stupid. Will not and cannot actually cause Putin to reverse his thinking but only turn more aggressive. He cannot back down without losing face. The objective is to hurt the Russian people so that they turn against Putin. And then what? This is not a very good situation in the least. Prepare for World War III. Ironically, the Democrats are the one who start them every time.

Either way, in centuries past, these were often great battles, the coronation of certain kings, the signing of certain documents. In more recent centuries, great speeches and other events were sometimes recorded and remembered as pivotal moments. In the 20th century, these became prominent newspaper and television stories.
Today I think of a few such moments. And as always happens with such great moments, none mark the end of something so much as a turning point. Events leading up to them mattered, and events that followed mattered, but these moments stood out in such a way that no one can look at them and say they did not mark a seismic shift.
Long before the 21st century, one epochal moment was the signing of the Magna Carta, which at the time seemed little but a document that a defeated King signed in a moment of desperation to keep his crown, but which historians now generally recognize as the moment when certain fundamental rights were acknowledged to belong to people whether the governing powers liked it or not. The ideas expressed in that document sparked a change in how people thought of the very idea of “rights,” first in England but slowly spreading across the world from there.

One late afternoon, “Egg” took hold of my dad and his friend and tied them up to a tree. Had my grandmother not gone out to find them in time, there might have been a serious problem. Nevertheless, despite this random act of tree-tying egg inspired aggression, my dad would never trade those hours of independence for anything.

The couples must then live together for a month before deciding whether they’ll stay married or get a divorce. The creators of the show claim it’s an experiment to determine which people make the best romantic partners.
Needless to say, it’s a controversial project that has many people talking. But to me, the show is just as far-fetched as it sounds. I’d even dare to say it’s dangerous.
Now, I’m all for blind dates. I think they have the potential to expand one’s network and social circle, allowing you to meet and interact with interesting people you may have never had the chance to before. If the date doesn’t work out, there’s nothing “lost.” Only experience gained.

Bolivia has declared Israel a “terrorist state” and revoked a visa exemption agreement with Tel Aviv in protest at the ongoing Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.

‘World Stands Disgraced’: 20 Killed In Zionist Shelling Of 2nd UN School

Twenty more people have been killed after a shell hit the UNRWA girls' school in Jabalia refugee camp, emergency services say. The UN condemned Israeli actions in the strongest possible terms, calling them a serious violation of international law. 
RT: A UN official confirmed the shelling, saying that the missile hit a bathroom and two classrooms in the school, AFP reported.
The outer wall of the complex was damaged by shellfire, and in a targeted classroom people were picking body parts off the blood-soaked floor, according to the agency’s correspondent in the area.
More than one shell hit the school. The first in the playground and the second a section primarily used by female pupils, RT contributor Harry Fear reported from the scene. Currently, over five UN schools are caught in the fighting, he added.

They’re right, I DON’T understand feminism

Actually, I think they’re right. After a lifetime of being told, going back to the 1960s, that my kind (the dreaded White Man) were responsible for pretty much everything bad that ever happened to anyone else not like us, I decided to check it out myself.
I read Brownmiller, Ehrenreich, Friedan, and Caldicott, to name but a few. I hung out with, worked with, listened to, and attended public events with self-identifying feminists for years. I saw women in the 1980s wearing running shoes to work, to “Take Back the Night,” and went on to wonder if they had, as heels got higher and higher until anatomically self-immolating footwear had become the new symbol of “empowerment.”
I married a feminist with a feminist mother. I watched my more intellectual, urbane male friends, one after another, go from being interesting, funny, and spontaneous young men to being diaper-bag-toting stepnfetchits who could barely begin a sentence without the words “Let me check with …”. I worked with redneck manly men whose wives actually (wait for it) MADE THEM SANDWICHES, and who also in absolute seriousness called the little lady The Boss and meant it.
And all this time, in college towns and tourist towns, as well as cow towns, I kept thinking that, sooner or later, I would run into this Patriarchy that had all these gals stirred up.

As is quite clear by now, Israel rejected and the bloodshed continued.

An International Men’s Conference

By Dan Moore: This was something I had been hoping to see for over 15 years. There was almost nothing that could stand between myself and attending. I wanted to meet all the people I had spoken with for so long; that I had debated, commiserated with, had honed my rhetorical and cognitive skills with, both against each other, and against our common opponents. It was gratifying to see so much brotherhood (and sisterhood, but more on that in a bit), and after recent events in my own life and the perspective that brings, this event renewed my resolve to make things better.
Better for men, and better for women. Better for humanity, for kindness, for simple human compassion. The women involved, attending, or reporting, served as stark contrast to the stories we so commonly hear of wounding, of cruelty, of sheer narcissism. No better example of NAWALT (Not All Women Are Like That) could serve, in my mind, to illustrate just how twisted our society has become, and the damage it has done to women as well.
The best way to describe the atmosphere was unpretentious and open communication. These women cared, deeply, about men, and boys, and the rift between men and women. They were open, friendly,  intelligent and determined. A better testament to the fact that this whole struggle is worth it escapes my imagination. I don’t remember most of the names (I’m terrible at remembering names) but to a woman they were non-judgmental, considerate, and understanding. Not to mention just plain friendly.
In these women, we truly have sisters.

By Ayami Tyndall: The phrase “like a girl” is often added to a verb, such as “run like a girl” or “hit like a girl,” to denote a feminine, ineffectual act, usually due to physical weakness. Recently, a video has been making the rounds (already past 40 million views on YouTube) that challenges these phrases as insulting and sexist.
In the video, a director instructs performers (male and female) to carry out actions “like a girl,” including running, throwing, and fighting. All emote in a stereotypically feminine manner, running with knees together, fighting with low-powered slaps, and throwing from the elbow.
The performers are then challenged on why girls do things this way, but there is no real answer. The “kicker” comes when a series of young (around ten years old) girls are given the same instructions and perform to their full ability, with no sissy wimpiness in sight.
The message? Girls’ self-esteem “plummets” during puberty, allegedly in part due to this kind of “like a girl” sexist language that undermines their sense of self-worth and ability.
However, gender roles are much more complex than that. Is saying “like a girl” sexist? By definition, yes, since the phrase distinguishes between boys and girls. Does it harm girls’ self-esteem? If they want to be an athlete or enter a similarly physical career, then it likely would. However, you could just as easily say “like a girl” is a form of hazing, a phrase thrown at a female athlete to push her to do better, to overcome the (scientifically factual) physical handicap she has compared with boys.
But that is still too simplistic.

Since July 8, Israeli warplanes have been pounding numerous sites in the Gaza Strip, demolishing houses and burying families in the rubble. Israeli tanks also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17.
Palestinian medics say more than 1,095 Palestinians have been killed so far in the Israeli attacks and nearly 6,500 others, also mostly little children have been maimed for life.

French Investment Bank: The “Redistributive Effects” Of US QE and ZIRP

By Wolf Richter: A new study found that the inflation-adjusted wealth of America’s median household – half of households are above and half are below – plunged 36% from 2003 to 2013. These years include the phenomenal stock and bond market rallies and price surges in other asset classes, propelled by the greatest credit bubble in history, ingeniously engineered by the Fed via QE and ZIRP.

But the median household wasn’t the only one to get shafted. The wealth of the lower 25th percentile, those folks who don’t have much to begin with, plunged 68%. And the bottom 5th percentile? Well, these hapless souls fell even deeper into the bottomless pit of owing more than they have in assets. Three times deeper. Even at the upper end, it was tough. The 75th percentile couldn’t beat inflation and lost on wealth, according to research by the Russell Sage Foundation. Only the top 95th percentile came out ahead and saw their wealth rise 14%. Which still isn’t much, over ten years.

What the report wisely left untouched is how the real winners of the Fed’s policies, the 99.9th percentile, made out.
Other studies have consistently pointed out similar shifts in wealth, though methods and numbers might have been different. By now, the results surprise no one. They have become a fact of life. But every one of these studies, whether it’s their intent or not, is an indictment of a magnificent wealth transfer scheme that isn’t an accident of history but the result of policies, pursued by nearly all major central banks, with the Fed at the forefront.
Bloggers have hammered on this for years, only to be shoved aside as conspiracy theorists. But now, Natixis, the asset management and investment banking division of Groupe BPCE, the second largest bank in France, and one of the largest banks in the world, came to the same conclusion in its economic research report on the “redistributive effects” of QE.

An American author and columnist says the United States wants to start a third world war because most of its big banks are insolvent.

Orwellian UK Banned Press TV: Dean Henderson with the Veterans Today made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday as he commented on recent remarks made by White House Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes who said “stronger” European sanctions “are on the table” against Russia.
“That is just more aggression from the United States and from Anglo-Israeli-US bankers alliance which seems to be just trying every angle to provoke Russians to the World War III because all the big banks are insolvent,” Henderson told Press TV.
Washington and Moscow have been at loggerheads over the crisis in Ukraine. The United States accuses Russia of supporting and arming pro-Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, a claim which is rejected by the Kremlin.
Meanwhile, the United States claims at least part of the blame for the downing of a Malaysian passenger plane in Ukraine, which left all 298 people onboard dead, lies with Russia.
Henderson says these accusations are just “a pretext” for the US to save its insolvent bankers by going to war as Washington “has done this before in World War II.”

ISIL Beheads 50 Syrian Soldiers, Puts Heads On Poles

Newly-released video footage shows the ISIL Takfiri terrorists summarily executing at least 50 Syrian government soldiers in the troubled northern Syria.
Orwellian UK Banned Press TV: The decapitated heads of several soldiers are shown mounted on poles on top of a fence at an army base in the northern province of Raqqa, Daily Mail reported.
Experts say the footage circulating online appears genuine and have been corroborated by other reports.
This comes as the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the troops were seized after ISIL militants took over a base in the troubled region.

"Some of the executed troops were beheaded, and their bodies and severed heads put on display in Raqqa city," said the Britain-based group's director, Rami Abdel Rahman.
