By David A. Hughes: The consequences of the terrorist attacks of 11th September, 2001 have been catastrophic. In addition to the estimated 3,000 people who lost their lives during the attacks themselves, millions more have been killed in the “War on Terror”; there has been an aggressive worldwide expansion of US military power, including the introduction of drone warfare; the MENA region has been destabilized, leading to massive flows of migrants; international law has been violated (most egregiously with the Iraq War); and domestically there has been a draconian scaling back on civil liberties, including historically unprecedented levels of surveillance, arbitrary detention, and torture. All of this has worked to undermine the post-1945 liberal internationalist order and has contributed to mounting concerns about liberal democracies being transformed into police states.

By Tyler Durden: As researchers, doctors and epidemiologists spend more time studying the coronavirus under a microscope, as well as in the 100k+ infections that have yielded reams of useful data, a troubling trend has emerged: researchers have identified a "tipping point" at which the virus goes from dangerous to deadly in extremely susceptible patients.
According to research, while many patients experience nothing more than a mild cold, one in seven patients develops difficulty breathing and other "severe" complications, while 6% become critically ill and require hospitalization to stabilize their condition, risking death if they can't receive the highest level of care.

The International Conference on Men's Issues will be held in Sydney July 31-August 02, 2020. 

About this Event:

ICMI20 is the latest in a series of international conferences that have been held in Detroit, London, Gold Coast and Chicago.

The conference will consist of speech, panel discussions and forums about issues concerning men and boys in today's society.

Speakers include luminaries within the men's rights and wider communities. Speakers will include:

* Elizabeth Hobson, Director of Communications at the British political party Justice for Men and Boys.
