Israel’s Killer Bureaucracy
By Refaat Alareer: There are scores of ways by which Jews kill Palestinians; shedding their blood with sophisticated weapons is only one.
This is the story of my cousin Awad Alareer, who died because Israel
imposes severe restrictions on Palestinian patients seeking medical
treatment outside the Gaza Strip, especially in the occupied West Bank,
including Jerusalem.
Awad, an 18-year-old from Gaza, died less than a year after he was diagnosed with bone cancer.
He needed permits to get treatment outside Gaza. Israel delayed issuing those permits on several occasions.
Awad came from a family of farmers. They were expelled from land in the greater Gaza Strip during the Nakba, the 1948 ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
Awad was named after his grandfather, who is now aged 84 and one of the oldest farmers in the Gaza Strip.
The elder Awad lost tens of acres when Israel was established on Palestinian lands in 1948. After 2000, he lost most of what remained of his land to the “buffer zone” that Israel imposed on Gaza.

Britain Is Not Going To Leave The EU Anytime Soon
By Gilad Atzmon: Despite the Brexit referendum, Britain is not leaving the European Union in the foreseeable future. No one in Britain has expressed a desire to issue Article 50 and officially launch withdrawal from the EU. In addition to the complex questions regarding the legal effects of the referendum and the added complications posed by a possible Scottish secession, it has become clear that the people who led the leave campaign were astonished by their victory. They clearly do not know how to rid themselves of the spoils of their achievement. In fact, the Brexiters and pretty much everyone else in Britain are relieved by Cameron’s decision to buy Britain three months of calm. The assumption is that this will provide sufficient time for the entire nation to search google and find out what the term EU stands for.
It is apparent that the leading Tory Brexiters: Michael Gove, Liam Fox and Boris Johnson share the ambition to become the next British prime minister. However if you expect Gove or Fox to formulate a coherent EU exit strategy you are either optimistic or naive. These corrupted politicians who are among the most devoted servants of the foreign lobby CFI (Conservative Friends Of Israel), are oddly quiet about Brexit. They behave as if it never happened. It isn’t modesty that keeps them silent.

EAT OR DIE - An Introduction To IAVS
By Mark McMurtry: At 7 kilocalories of food per litre of water, iAVs tomatoes and tilapia are 4,000 to 7,000 times more water-efficient than is high-yield corn grown in Iowa (‘not to mention’ the soil loss, energy, Carbon emissions, herbicides and other pollutants flowing down stream). And, iAVs is 20,000 times more efficient in terms of water consumed per food value produced than is corn grown in SE Missouri – albeit likely destined for combustion in a SUV engine as mandated ethanol-blended gasoline. Effectively, in the US, we’ll burn absolutely anything, including our food and remaining water resources, just to ‘save’ a few cents on fuel as we drive to Walmart and keep the factories in China pumping Carbon from Australian coal into Earth’s atmosphere. Wow!
There’s No Place Called “TransNationalProfessionalistan”
Under the relentless thrust of accelerating over-population and increasing over-organization, and by means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms—elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest—will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial—but Democracy and freedom in a strictly Pickwickian sense. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.

By Michael Krieger: Megan McArdle has penned an extraordinary article in the wake of the Brexit referendum. Her words represent the sort of deep, thoughtful reflection Remain-supporting pundits and journalists should be demonstrating at the moment, but clearly aren’t.

US And UK Family Courts Cause Heartbreak To Separated Fathers And Their Children
By Terry Brennan: When asked about opening his law firm’s first office in the UK, Scott Trout, Managing Partner of Cordell and Cordell, one of the largest family law firms in the United States, stated:
“It was a big step for us to go to the UK, I was over there pretty much for the last year and a half, going back and forth just trying to make sure everything was opened up, and one of the things I was interested in seeing was whether or not guys in the UK face the same situations as in the US. I didn’t think it would be, but it was amazing. If I didn’t know there was an accent, I would think I was in the United States. The same issues that guys face in terms of discrimination in the UK are the very same things that guys face and the troubles they have in the United States.”Setting aside which of us has an accent for future debate, this statement is remarkable in its implications. The Managing Director of one of the largest family law firms in the United States has openly admitted that men face discrimination in both US and UK courts.
