The growing inflation, an imminent global recession, a festering refugee crisis, a deepening food shortage crisis and much more are the kinds of challenges that require open and transparent discussions regarding the situation in Ukraine, the NATO-Russia rivalry and the responsibility of the West in the ongoing war.

The ACLU has sent out an appeal for money so they can overturn –how?–the Supreme Court’s overthrow of Row vs. Wade and re-institutionalize the mass murder of the unborn. The ACLU’s claim that women have the right to decide whether and when to become a parent is correct. What the ACLU overlooks is that women have to make that decision prior to having unprotected sexual intercourse.

“Reproductive freedom” does not mean the right to kill the unborn. What abortion advocates need to understand is that society has the right not to be made complicit in the murder of unborn babies, and, as it developed, born ones.

EU Renews Digital COVID Pass Despite 99% Negative Public Feedback

Authored by Robert Kogon: Acting on a proposal of the European Commission, the European Parliament, as expected, voted yesterday to renew the EU Digital Covid Certificate for another year. The vote was 453 for, 119 against and 19 abstentions.

The certificate regulation had been scheduled to expire on June 30. Earlier this month, a delegation from the parliament had already reached a “political agreement” with the Commission on renewing the certificate, thus making yesterday’s vote virtually a foregone conclusion.

The certificate regulation was originally adopted in June of last year, ostensibly to facilitate “safe travel” between EU member states. But the EU digital certificate quickly evolved into the model and sometimes infrastructure for the domestic “health” or Covid passes that would serve to restrict access to many other areas of social life over the following year.

By Tyler Durden: When Russia's revamped McDonald's restaurants opened in Moscow earlier this month, they smashed sales records set when the locations were adorned with golden arches, according to a Reuters interview with the firm's chief executive.  

If it wanted to harken back to the earlier days of its predecessor, new brand Vkusno & Tochka could have posted a sign saying "Over 120,000 Served" after just one day in operation. In the first wave, 50 locations opened in Moscow on June 12 and 13, including the firm's flagship location on Moscow's Pushkin Square.   

"We have never seen such daily turnover in the whole time McDonald's has worked in Russia," Vkusno & Tochka CEO Oleg Paroev said.
