Über cool German politician and former finance minister Oskar Lafontaine has a message for the US on its politics concerning Russia and Ukraine. He has also called on the EU to oppose Washington.
RT: In a Facebook post which cannot be quoted fully quote due to strong language, Lafontaine, whose latest political post was co-chairman of the democratic socialist party The Left, called US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter the "Secretary of War", and Washington's policies "imperialism."

By Luigi Logan (aka Fidelbogen): There are many schools of thought concerning revolution, how it works, and how to make it work better. I will discuss two of these, because I put them ahead of anything else you might say upon that subject.
First, consider Malcolm X, who famously remarked that “there is no such thing as a non-violent revolution”. He was right. Any revolution at all requires violence in the form of violation, meaning a discontinuity which violates a system of understanding or authority.
Discontinuity is the operative term because it implies a sudden change of state. First you are A, then all at once you are B. There is nothing seamless in the transition from A to B, and that’s what revolution is all about. To arrive at B, you must violate A.
Any revolution worth the name involves, more or less, a paradigm shift from A to B. More to the point, a revolution violates a paradigm by breaking out of it. For example, the American revolution violated the paradigm of the British Empire by breaking out of it.
So how do you break out of a paradigm? The same way you break out of anything else — by breaking something! And it is violent to break things, is it not?

I don’t watch advertisement supported, cable television of any kind – we have Netflix and HBO, which are both ad free at the moment. Despite taking no active interest in ‘celebrity’ culture, I have an astonishing awareness of a lot of it. The simple act of standing in line at the grocery store, surrounded by gossip magazines, or reading online sites like Gawker, Slate, Salon, etc., means I can name the children of celebrities without knowing exactly what a lot of these people are famous for.
It’s the height of irony that Jennifer Garner (don’t think I’ve ever seen one of her movies) testified before the California State Assembly that paparazzi photographers represented a danger to the children of famous people, when she is one of the most egregious offenders when it comes to whoring out her children for publicity. I can easily name and identify her children, and trust me, I take no particular pride in that, it’s just that those children are everywhere. Usually accompanied by Jennifer Garner.
Some might say that she’s famous, she lives in Hollywood, she simply can’t avoid photographers or dampen their interest in her life. But I call bullshit.

So when Druze in Israeli-occupied Golan found that the Israeli military was transporting injured Nusra Front jihadists for medical treatment, they attacked the convoy.

There have for years been reports of Israel treating al-Qaeda and ISIS fighters, and of course the prolonged civil war in Syria is very much in the declared interest of Israel, which has stated it doesn’t want any side to win. Lamb Genetically Modified With Jellyfish Sold As Meat By Paris Butcher

French authorities are looking into how a lamb genetically modified with jellyfish protein was sold as meat to an unknown customer, a judicial source told AFP on Tuesday.
The jellyfish-lamb, called “Rubis”, was sent to an abattoir from the National Institute for Agricultural Research in Paris late last year and somehow ended up on a butcher’s slab.

Yummy.

“A female lamb born to a sheep that was genetically modified as part of a medical research program was sold to a person in the Parisian region in October 2014,” said the National Institute for Agricultural Research in a statement, confirming a story first reported by Le Parisien newspaper. The case has been taken up by a public health court in Paris, a judicial source told AFP. 
Rubis “found itself on a plate! Who ate it? No one knows,” exclaimed Le Parisien on Tuesday.

It is encouraging that some of you make monthly donations in support of the website as are your written appreciations I receive in emails. Many have written that I have rescued them from their existence in The Matrix, which is my purpose.
Discouragement comes from the ignorant diatribes that arrive in emails. I never fail to be amazed at the hate-filled ignorance of many Americans. Every time I read emails, I experience hope on one hand and despair on the other.
As I have written previously, many Americans want to hear what they have been inculcated to expect to hear. They are brainwashed, incapable of thought or evaluating evidence. If they don’t hear what they have been trained to hear, they respond with denunciations. To see so many Americans totally incapable of thought and reason makes me question the point of my efforts. Then I remember Margaret Mead’s statement that it only takes a few determined people to change the world.
In the 21st century, the neoconservatives have been those people. They have changed the world for the worst. Now we must change it for the better.
