Julie Bindel: “Yes, There’s A Major Problem With Rape Prosecutions. But It’s Not That Women Are Lying.”
By : A piece by Julie Bindel in The Guardian, packed with the unsubstantiated anecdotes and absurd ‘arguments by assertion’ for which she’s long been infamous. An extract:Why are more people not up in arms about the huge numbers of false assertions of men’s innocence; false allegations of women’s complicity; and false allegations of how women deserve or enjoy nonconsensual sex? After all, significant numbers of women, and some men, are raped, sexually assaulted, sexually harassed, and sexually violated, and we know that it is more likely that the actual rape victim will end up in prison (as a result of the damage done to her and the knock-on effects throughout her life) than her rapist. [J4MB emphasis. Oddly, there’s no link to evidence to substantiate the claim. Why might that be?]And how about this for classic Bindel misinformation?
Bearing in mind that only 6% of rape cases end up with a rape conviction for rape in this country, [J4MB: Bindel is referring here to rape ALLEGATIONS – referring to them as ‘rape cases’ is deliberately misleading, as it implies all allegations are genuine (victims must be believed, men who deny rape must not be believed). Most allegations don’t result in trials, for a variety of reasons. In a typical year, 30-45% of men who are charged with rape end up being convicted] that would mean that 94% of women thatwho (sic) report it are lying, that would mean a vast number of women are lying.
Swedish Rape Law Would Require Explicit Consent Before Sexual Contact

Under the proposal, rape could be proven if the claimant did not give his or her explicit verbal agreement or clearly demonstrate a desire to engage in sexual activity. “Agreement was reached for the terrorists to leave, about 4,000 people, them and their families,” the defector said, as quoted by Reuters, adding that all but about 500 were fighters.
The defector also noted that the fighters were headed toward Deir ez-Zor, Syria’s most oil-rich region. The U.S. had been eager to bomb Deir ez-Zor for some time prior to the deal, and allowing ISIS safe passage to get there would merely give them the pretext to do so.

By Gilad Atzmon: Two days ago, I revealed that Ludwig Watzal, a supposedly pro Palestinian German writer, attempted to defame me and my work by doctoring my words and fabricating quotes.Some of my supporters who follow Watzal’s work approached Watzal and asked him for clarification.
Watzal’s initial response was to dismiss their questions.
“This is all trash written by a Zionist agent,” Watzal answered.
Watzal had to admit that he had lifted the quotes from no other than ethnic cleanser advocate, Prof. Alan Dershowitz’. You may ask why a Palestinian ‘solidarity’ activist would turn to Dershowitz as an ‘authority.’ You would expect Watzal to know that Prof. Noam Chomsky described Dershowitz as ‘a remarkable liar and slanderer.’

Via Richard, J4MB: An extract:A celebrity lawyer is calling for people who make false rape and sex assault allegations to be stripped of their statutory anonymity and named on a public register.
The comments by Nick Freeman, nicknamed ‘Mr Loopole’ for his record helping clients fight motoring offences, come after the trial of 22-year-old student Liam Allan, who was charged with rape, dramatically collapsed.
Mr Freeman, who runs Manchester-based Freeman and Co Solicitors, argues the case is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ and false allegations are being made on a ‘daily basis’. [J4MB emphasis]

Alpha males are able to compete with other males and rise to the top of a tribe. They can then have just about any female they want, and because of their position of power, they can exploit these females. Recently the term has been applied to humans, and the human alpha male, like the alpha males of lower animals, tend to use their positions of power to exploit women.
No doubt alpha males have existed throughout human history and have often been viewed as heroes. One thinks of Genghis Khan, who in addition to conquering Mongolia in the 1100s, was also one of history’s greatest ladies men. One also thinks of Achilles, William Wallace, Napoleon, and John F. Kennedy, all known for their dominance of men and having their way with women. Are such men born that way, or do they become that way as the result of environmental factors? Usually it is a combination: they are born with the biological makeup such as an athletic build to dominate, but they are also brought up in an environment that fosters such dominance. Famous gangsters grew up in the mafia, which extolled brutality of all forms, including rape.
