Hahahahahahaha Bahar Mustafa! Schadenfreude!

By : Schadenfreude is a German word that has come to take on a slightly different meaning for English speakers:
In the original German sense, schadenfreude is not just pleasure in the misfortunes of another – one must also feel genuine remorse that such misfortunes have befallen the person at whom you are laughing. The perfect example is a little kid, filled with delight at the ice-cream he holds as he runs across the park, who then face plants magnificently, ass over tea kettle, his ice-cream squashed half up his nose and half in the dirt. On the one hand, epic face plants by little kids are hilarious, and on the other hand, awwwwwww, it probably hurt and now his ice-cream is fucked.
baharThere must be that sense of remorse, of sympathy, of wishing the misfortune had not happened, even as you laugh your ass off that it did!
What I feel for Bahar Mustafa qualifies, just barely, as schadenfreude. For those who need a refresher, Bahar is the little cunt in the UK who held a diversity workshop, from which cis-gendered, white, heterosexual men were barred.
When students at her university, where she is a ‘student diversity officer’ (aka a useless twat with no market skills who needs government funds to feed her cats and herself), complained, Bahar responded with this:

….and then tweeted #KillAllMen.
Bahar has been arrested for that tweet, on the grounds that it was ‘threatening’.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m laughing my ass off at the irony of it all. Anita and Zoe want the internet policed to the nth degree, so no one ever feels ‘unsafe’ or ‘threatened’, and one of the first people to get arrested is some little feminist bitch who wants to #KillAllMen. It’s delicious!

But….. at the same time, I am deeply concerned that Bahar was arrested. #KillAllMen, no matter how deeply felt by those that use the hashtag, no matter how genuinely they would like to see the death of half of humanity come about, no matter how earnestly they believe those words, is a hashtag. It’s words on a screen. Most people using the hashtag are doing so as a joke. As an expression of their anger and frustration at what they genuinely perceive to be men’s hatred for women. They’re stupid, misinformed, ideologically blind and utterly brainwashed, and who cares? You fight words with other words in the court of public opinion, and may the best ideas win!
I tried, without success, to get a complementary hashtag to #KillAllMen trending. I posted a video in which I explained the conditions under which I would #ShootAFeministInTheFace (all perfectly legal, BTW), and I even got my useful idiot brigade to write about it, to try and stir up some controversy.
No dice.
And quite frankly, that is exactly what I expected to happen. The violent, woman-hating, deranged assholes who populate the men’s rights movements are spectacularly bad at being violent, woman-hating, deranged assholes, and responded to the #ShootAFeministInTheFace hashtag by refusing to tweet it for the most part. Those that responded were generally negative:

Looks like a whole bunch of MRAs didn’t get the ‘you’re violent misogynists’ memo! My hashtag went nowhere. And I do have some experience managing hashtags on Twitter. The first person to tweet #WomenAgainstFeminism was a man (can’t remember who, but it was definitely a man), and someone else started #WomenAgainstFeminism on Tumblr and Facebook, but I drove most of the Twitter traffic on the tag at the beginning, and then set it free for the masses, where it continues to enjoy activity.
Feminists shared none of the same compunctions about tweeting #KillAllMen. Despite being peaceful, loving creatures only interested in equality and dictionaries, feminists were delighted to tweet genocidal fantasies. Hey, at least my hashtag was shoot a feminist in the face. Not shoot all. The feminist death toll beats mine hands down. Perhaps that was the flaw? I doubt it. I have to agree with the MRA tweeters, that both of these hashtags are stupid, counterproductive and only create controversy and division where none need exist. And neither of them should be criminal. They are words. Words are not actions. When feminists start setting up private chat rooms to discuss the mechanics of how to #KillAllMen, well, that’s a different story, and requires a different set of actions. Radfemhub.com did just that, and we took them down by exposing their hate to the light of day. Their words were still words, and we threw them out into the court of public opinion, and destroyed their site.
That’s how justice is done. We didn’t need to the police or the courts or the justice system to intervene: we needed harsh light and an open forum.
Bahar Mustafa is a despicable cretin of the highest order, but she doesn’t deserve to be arrested. If being an asshole on social media is a criminal offense, 90% of social media users should be arrested. This video by the brilliant thunderf00t juxtaposes segments of Saturday Night Live and Mean Tweets on Jimmy Fallon with testimony from Anita and Zoe at the UN to demonstrate just how pathetic, mewling, childish and sulky feminists on social media are:

These silly bitches are perfectly happy to dish it out, but the second they get it back, they run crying to the patriarchy to protect them. ‘You suck’ and ‘you’re a liar’ are criticisms so harsh, they require police protection and Big Daddy Authority to step in. How hilarious is that?
Feminists: Smash the patriarchy!
Critics: YOU SUCK!
Feminists: Help me, Obi-wan Patriarch! You’re my only hope!
There is very simple solution to trolling and name-calling and people being mean on Twitter: grow the fuck up. Seriously. Grow up. Adults disagree with one another. If you can’t handle disagreement, and the harshness of words and ideas, get off the internet. The correct response to assholes is this:

blockedontwitter

And if you don’t want to grow up? That’s fine, too. Tweet #KillAllMen to your heart’s content. Sticks and stones, bitch. Just remember that turnabout is fair play.
I’m still all over Twitter (haha Twitter – you can’t ban me), but I can’t tweet under my own account. If I could, I would be tweeting alongside Milo Yiannopoulos:

milo tweet

#IStandWithBaharMustafa because being a cunt shouldn’t be illegal. Honestly, the more they talk, the easier it is to defeat them. So keep speaking, ladies. The sun is shining!

Let’s see what it reveals.

Lots of love,
JB
