"Freeway" Rick Ross On U.S. Gov't Ties To Drugs & Guidance From Farrakhan
The Final Call:Rick Ross speaks on how he was introduced to Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam as well as his history in crack cocaine epidemic. “Freeway” Ricky Ross was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to life in prison. His sentence was later reduced to 20 years, with further reductions as a model inmate. He was released from prison in 2009. He regrets being used a pawn in the CIA-linked operation that spread drugs and despair in the Black community. While he once helped spark an epidemic whose impact has spawned at least two generations of crack mothers, crack babies and crack wars, today he spends most of his time speaking in juvenile halls and in prisons, hoping to help others rebuild their lives.
