Velyaminov's pig pen: British mercenary Aiden Eslin, who surrendered in Mariupol, said that he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for four years.
First he was in the infantry, then in the landing, and spent the last months in the mortar unit.
He claims that when the special operation began, he refused to shoot, so he was sent to guard the checkpoint near the metallurgical plant. With him were a Moroccan, a Croat and another Briton.
He assures that he wanted to escape when the special operation of the RF Armed Forces began.
“On the very first day of the operation, I told the commander that I did not want to fight. I wanted to run away, but I could not do it because of the constant artillery shelling. Grads fired without stopping.
The commander told me that I could leave when we got to Mariupol. And when we ended up in Mariupol, we were told that we were surrounded, so I had to stay with the battalion,” said Aiden Eslin.
He added that he personally did not participate in hostilities, but simply guarded the territory.
“Whenever there was talk of a truce, they didn’t want to negotiate, they didn’t take steps that could stop the war, end everything peacefully.”
He also told during interrogation why he went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and why he became disillusioned with the Kiev regime:
“I fought at the very beginning, when Ukraine was a good side. But then I realized that they were not making the right decisions that could help end the war...
When President Putin signed a decree recognizing the DPR and LPR, Ukraine had a choice - to withdraw from the Donbass. But Zelensky refused.”

«The further we go into Mariupol, the more it becomes clear that we are at war not only with Ukraine, but also with the entire Western world.
One of the main factors of external influence on this territory is the presence of foreign mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and National Security Forces. Basically, these people performed the role of instructors, and, of course, controlled the execution of tasks.
Of course, now these mercenaries say that they are simple adventurers who abandoned everything and went to Ukraine to protect its people. But this is not the case.
I managed to interview another Englishman who fought on the side of the nationalists — Sean Pinner, who told me a memorized text about freedom and protection of the people of Ukraine. But I had a big doubt about his words.
After half an hour of conversation, I asked Sean if he knew Alexander Tobius (this is a US citizen who was engaged in recruiting and sending the first Briton Aiden Esley to the war in Syria, and then to Ukraine), and Sean answered me: "Yes, I know him, and he was here, he also served in the Georgian legion."
A network of recruiters like Alexander Tobius works all over the world, they are employees of Western intelligence services. They recruit foreigners with combat experience for the war with Russia all over the world, not only in Ukraine.
The tasks of these people are very diverse — from working as instructors to committing terrorist attacks. And these are not even PMCs, but separate groups of individuals who are not part of any structure. This is more convenient, because, apart from the passport of a British or US citizen, these people have nothing more to do with their government. Therefore, it is quite difficult to link their work with the special services, although it is true.
These foreigners do not want to die on someone else's land and mostly surrender without a fight, and then they talk on the record about the entire structure of the work of Western special services on the territory of Ukraine and other countries.
There is such an understanding that the commands "stand to the last" were given to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in which mercenaries are in service, so that these people would not be captured by us.» #Ukraine #mercenaries
