LeAnn Rimes’ health woes aren't getting better. The singer had to cancel shows on her Joy: The Holiday Tour last weekend because of sudden illness. Today she revealed in a hand-written note on Instagram that the flu, which she endured last week, triggered a more serious medical issue.
"It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend's shows," she wrote. "While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal cord, caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick. I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing... doctor's orders!"
Rimes said the diagnosis and what it means for her Christmas tour leaves her "devastated" because she was looking forward to celebrating the holidays with fans.

Today blabbermouth.net has reported that Evanescence have been been forced to cancel their concert tonight at Arena Gliwice in Poland due to lead singer Amy Lee’s illness. Evanesence was scheduled to perform on their Worlds Collide European tour with metal band Within Temptation.
London-based alternative rock band Placebo were forced to postpone the remainder of their current UK and Ireland tour after frontman Brian Molko fell sick and was descirbed as "quite unwell." After postponing the shows scheduled for Newcastle's City Hall and Glasgow's Academy, the group confirmed on Saturday that they would no longer be able to move forward with the remainder of their tour, in support of their eighth studio album Never Let Me Go, at this time as Molko continues to recover.
"We are so disappointed that we can't complete our UK run but please rest assured that we will do everything we can to get these shows rescheduled as soon as possible," the band announced the postponement across its social media channels. "We are so grateful for the wonderful support you have shown us on this tour and for your good wishes and understanding during this difficult period. We are so sorry that we can't complete the remaining shows, we tried! We will be back soon. Thank you all for your patience and understanding."

Fighting back tears, Celine Dion shared in a video to fans she has been diagnosed with an incurable neurological disorder. Speaking out on Instagram, the 54-year-old Canadian native said, "As you know, I've always been an open book. And I wasn't ready to say anything before – but I'm ready now. I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time. And it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything that I've been going through." Dion then revealed she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), which she explained "affects something like one in a million people." SPS is defined by the Cleveland Clinic as "a rare autoimmune movement disorder that affects the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). People with this condition first experience a stiffening of the muscles of their trunk followed, over time, by the development of stiffness and rigidity in the legs and other muscles in the body."

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I was working two part time jobs, balancing a full time college course load and working on my original music in the recording studio every week.
Before I got my first dose of the vaccine, I was a perfectly healthy 19 year old with absolutely zero medical history.
Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?
I decided to get the Moderna vaccine due to it being mandated by my university, and I so longed to attend in person classes again: so I did what I thought was “my part”.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
In July 2021, I got the Moderna vaccine. After the first dose, I felt slightly fatigued and had a sore arm, but within a few days I was experiencing dizziness and extreme nausea, along with visual disturbances and leg numbness. I brushed this off as I thought it was anxiety, and my primary care provider assured me this was safe.
A month later, it was time for my second dose, and since I had been led to believe that my reaction was not in correlation with the vaccine, I got it. Less than 3 days later, I could not breathe, I had extreme chest pains and could not walk more than a few steps without gasping for air. My legs went numb, and I could not feel my face.
Horrified, I booked an appointment with a cardiologist but still expected nothing to be wrong with me because THIS WAS “SAFE”. To my surprise, my cardiologist found I had an irregular heartbeat and fluid around my heart, which was diagnosed as pericarditis.
I wish I could say that was the end of it, but that was only the beginning to my nightmare of an experience with the vaccine. I began losing clumps of hair every time I ran my fingers through, I was becoming extremely malnourished and lost over 20 pounds without trying and a million other neurological symptoms followed. I am over a year out from getting the vaccine and have now been diagnosed with POTS Syndrome, which has left me housebound and unable to attend school or work.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
I have been to 15+ specialists. Cardiologist, Neurologist, Hematologist, Neuropsychologist, Vascular Surgeon, Electrophysiologist, Etc.
I had 5 rounds of iron infusions, every type of lab you could think of, EKG, ECG, 3 types of MRIs and so many more.
I was diagnosed with Pericarditis and POTS Syndrome.
Q: Are there any treatments we should know about that helped or hurt your health?
Haven’t found anything effective yet.

To always go with your gut feeling. Life is so precious, and we are all so susceptible, so never take your health for granted.

Message from Mike
Michael “Mike” Anthony Granata, born Feb. 21, 1965, longtime resident of Gilroy, CA, passed away on Nov 1, 2021. Never a kinder more gentle man did I know than my husband, Michael.
For those who knew Mike, you know that he was a good and honest man. He was kind, considerate, and always polite. Mike was adamant that people know what happened to him that caused his early and unexpected death.
Message from Mike:
“Many nurses and non-nursing staff begged me and my wife to get the truth out to the public about the Covid-19 vaccines because the truth of deaths from the vaccine was being hidden within the medical profession. I promised I would get the message out. So, here is my message: I was afraid of getting the vaccine for fear that I might die. At the insistence of my doctor, I gave in to pressure to get vaccinated.
“On August 17, I received the Moderna vaccine and starting feeling ill three days later. I never recovered but continued to get worse. I developed multisystem inflammation and multisystem failure that medical professionals could not stop. My muscles disappeared as if to disintegrate. I was in ICU for several weeks and stabbed with needles up to 24 times a day for those several weeks, while also receiving 6 or 7 IVs at the same time (continuously).
“It was constant torture that I cannot describe. I was no longer treated as a human with feelings and a life. I was nothing more than a covid vaccine human guinea pig and the doctors excited to participate in my fascinating progression unto death. If you want to know more, please ask my wife. I wished I would have never gotten vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, don’t do it unless you are ready to suffer and die.”
Mike did not deserve the pain and suffering he endured. He was a good man and deserved better.
Mike was born in San Jose, California and moved to Gilroy at age one, where he resided for the last 55 years.
Mike attended Las Animas Elementary and Gilroy High schools. He graduated from both San Jose State University and Santa Clara University earning several scholastic degrees.
Mike was an intelligent man but never flaunted it. Mike chose to clothe himself in humility, kindness and gentleness every day, and preferred to work quietly behind the scenes doing good deeds and expecting nothing in return.
Michael was a licensed professional engineer and the owner of Engineering By Design, Design Engineering and Professional Engineering and Design. For the last 10+ years Michael worked in the Marine industry utilizing his IP for design and engineering that is known and used worldwide.
Michael could be seen twice daily walking his Golden Retriever around the neighborhood or up at Gavilan College for the last 20+ years in his jeans, t-shirt and hat.
Michael was proud to be a gear-head, a true car restoration enthusiast and tinkerer.
Mike loved spending time with his wife, his dog, his cars and playing the drums as he was quite a gifted musician.
Michael was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony Edward Granata and Salvatore Anthony Granata.
Michael is survived by his wife, Susie Granata of Gilroy, his parents Anthony and Elizabeth Granata of Morgan Hill; his sister Catherine Flowers (John) of Brentwood, CA; Nieces: Heather Trumbull (Christopher), Mindy Peterson (Ryan), Jeannene Brady, and Alyssa Granata, and great nephews and niece: Anthony and Trevor Peterson, and Karlie and Colin Trumbull.
