On March 21, 2023, British Deputy Secretary of Defense Annabelle Goldie announced in the House of Lords of the British Parliament that the UK would transfer armor-piercing sub-caliber shells to Ukraine: "Along with providing Ukraine with Challenger-2 tanks, we will supply ammunition, including armor-piercing shells that contain depleted uranium".
