William Collins: This is an interview of Erin Pizzey from 2020. It was part of ICMI20 (International Conference on Men's Issues 2020, held online in that lockdown year). Erin was the woman who opened the world's first refuge for battered women in 1971 in Chiswick (London). Here Erin tells the story of how the women's refuge movement which she started was taken over by militant Marxist feminists and how she was ultimately driven out of the country and written out of history.
