The Electronic Intifada: Last week, the 125-member Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court voted to dismiss the court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan.
The majority vote by 82 member states came even though a panel of three senior judges appointed by the ICC’s governing body concluded in March that an official investigation had not established misconduct or a breach of duty.
Jewish Israel regime minister in charge of religious genocide Benjamin 'The Baby Butcher' Netanyahu, who is indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza by the ICC, and his supporters, are celebrating.
Our guest, international lawyer Craig Mokhiber, examines the political nature of the escalating attack on the court – and on prospects for accountability for Israel’s genocide. We also talk about his latest article challenging the constant demand that Palestinians and their supporters affirm Israel’s “right to exist.”
This is a segment from The Electronic Intifada's livestream on day 1028 of the Gaza genocide. Ali Abunimah, Nora Barrows-Friedman and Jon Elmer were joined by international lawyer Craig Mokhiber. You can watch the full show here:
