The Fight For Universal Suffrage In The UK

Rick Bradford demonstrates how the Suffragettes were little more than a terrorist organisation and were completely inconsequential in securing universal suffrage for the British people.
Ewan Jones talks to Rick Bradford aka William Collins aka MRA-UK about the history of universal suffrage in the UK.
It's now a century since the people of Great Britain were universally granted the right to vote. Mr Collins delves back through hundreds of years of British history. He demonstrates the slave like conditions most people lived in, under the feudal system, and how over time the slow march of democracy prevailed against tyrannical authoritarianism. This all lead to the 1918 'Representation of the People Act'. This act was a victory for the people of Great Britain who obtained a political voice they had never had before. It was a victory for the masses against a ruling elite. Unfortunately, feminists in the mainstream media are now trying to rewrite history, and to rebrand the 1918 'Representation of the People Act' as a victory by women over patriarchal, oppressive men. The recent feminist film 'Suffragette' also claims that this organisation was instrumental in securing universal suffrage.
William Collins is the creator of the youtube series of films 'Centuries of Oppression: The road to 1918'. These videos explore the issues discussed in this talk, in far greater depth.

He also runs the blogsite MRA-UK. http://mra-uk.co.uk/
