gushed as it unveiled its “first real build” of a self-driving car.
It’s still a prototype. But hey, the thing got headlights and all. And
it self-drives. What Google paraded in front of the media in May was
just a mockup without headlights.
And while the rest of us do whatever we do over the holidays, if any, the folks at Google
will “be spending the holidays zipping around our test track,” and they
hoping “to see you on the streets of Northern California in the new
year.”
This is it. BMW Isetta
from the mid-50s comes to mind. Its ground clearance is so low that it
probably won’t make it down the average street in San Francisco without
tearing up its undercarriage. Don’t the Google geniuses ever get out of
their gleaming Google buses and drive around on their own in San Francisco? Or in other places of our infrastructure-challenged nation?
Google isn’t the only outfit working on a self-driving car. All automakers are dabbling in it. They already have real
cars. All they have to do is figure out the rest, like how to get
grandma across town without running over any stray pedestrians.But Google is unlikely to become an automaker. It’s an information-age company. Its business model is to sell ads and monetize the personal and very private information it collects incessantly in a myriad ways on everyone and everything.

at once. The plan to destroy the U.S. dollar and the American middle
class is moving at an ever increasing speed.
At the recent G20 meeting the nations agreed that bank deposits would no longer be considered money. These bank deposits become the property of the banking institution and as such can be used any way the bank wants. This means that any money you deposit in a bank now is no longer yours but makes you an investor in the bank and subject to lose that money if a banking crisis takes down the bank.
The spending bill just passed by congress makes the American taxpayer responsible for any derivatives loses that banks may suffer. These derivative holders now have first priority when any funds are paid out and depositors are relegated to last place.
